Rework backfired for me. Not only of low tier CVs are unplayable, but with the selection of ships themselves too. First of all, why is Ranger downed to T6 but Hiryu got deleted entirely? Hiryu and Ranger were more less same generation and purpose, but now we have Ryujo on T6 which was escort CV not strike CV like Ranger. It seems this rework was made by people who had no idea of CVs classification and purposes.
Now the real issue. I find low tier CVs totally unplayable. The amount off AA power after the update make it almost impossibille to hit anything. While before update you scrambled 4 strike squadrons, you lost like half of the planes, but still could inflict serious damage and maka a difference. Now you at most have one chance to drop 2(sic!) torps or bombs, but still most of the time they do nothing or little damage. Something's wrong with that. Not to mention that half or more of the time you don't even have a chcance to attempt on attack, because your squadron is obliterated in matter of seconds (very "realistic"). Or the actual controls, which are at least faulty... You have to have your reticle at certain are to maneouver? Really? Can't even look back and turn at the same time. It's even worse sometimes, when your planes just lock in certain direction and you can't do anything about it for couple of seconds... I think this rework is more range inducing, too, because of that fact. You see you planes shot down in like 3 seconds, this is too much. And even if the match is somewhat succesful, i mean, some fair amount of dmg, some nice badges, spotting etc. it's still completely unprofitable to play CVs, when for the same amount of work as in other classes you get like what, 1000 exp and 150k credits? while doing the same in for example nurnberg i got like abour 1600exp and 300k credits. Where's logic in here? It's completely unprofitable, rage inducing, uninteresting and uninspiring to play reworked CVs. You just can't do much, you're pretty much unimportant during the battle, no matter if you're doing good or not.
That's the opininon form average player, i've never been good with CVs, but at least i could somehow find enjoyment in the pre-update CVs (i was inspired enough to grind up to Hiryu and almost got Shokaku, now i feel like i don't really want to grind any further), now it's just rage and grief. For me this rework is complete failure
