What should Wargaming's attitude towards third party mods be?
Tsukotaku replied to Figment's topic in Archive
Modding is life. Still, I've to agree with you about those modifications that make any kind of advantage on a pratical degree (Like the "AimAssist"), but regarding the graphical ones and statistical knowledge absolutely not. Those two categories don't radically change the flow of a battle. -
Unable to sell ships with extra modifications. Wait... what?

P.S. The "black" censorship is for the IJN flags that I'm not allowed to show on the forum, if the policy didn't change during the last weeks. Edit: I'm really dumb. -
Legendary Taigei, best Taigei.

More than 29.99€ of tokens for the Kitakami sounds like a rip of money to me. I've only got the premium membership for 9.95€, which is the only correctly priced thing in there IMO. They shouldn't charge more than 14€ for a ship.

It still works. Simply, the launcher does a files check of the "res" folder at the download/installation of every patch. You just need to re-apply the scripts.
-
I had fragility problems on the turrets mainly with BBs like the Nagato and Amagi (I'm starting to think they're actually paper made), not many on the Mogami. It barely happened on the IJN CAs.

When still grinding for the Mogami (May that Tomboy be blessed), with the Aoba I found myself explode after just a single shell directly to the citadel. Not once but several times! This was my reaction back then:

I'm such idiot. I didn't sell anything with modifications once before. But let me write something... that "Sell" button is seriously hided... -
The tracking definitely works depending on the target locked. You don't know how many times I missed DDs 'cause I lost the spot of the target right before firing.
-
He has point, Van.
-
Exactly.
-
I think it's not the artillery-mode of the CAT period but simply the class in the scripts that basically slightly adjust the sight based on the target locked and your ship motion. Just used in a different manner.

Told you... with the Nagato I managed to land, without problems at all, a 64k damage AP's salvo on a Kongou distant 18km. That's basically a "death flag". If you don't call this unfair what's legit then?
-
I guarantee that you will phisically won't have the time to experience said "fun" within the game/battle and increase your personal skills against somebody with this mod... that can also use properly his brain.
-
Yeah, we obliterated the guy with the APs from a Kongou and HEs of a Nagato. Everything in less than 40 seconds. Aerial battles mainly depend on "movements" skills, this game does not. WoWs is primarily about your aiming abilities and artillery judgement.
-
Right now you can't really "ban" people for using it. The reason is simple: WG is not taking any action or a negative stance against all of this, which basically means that they're currently allowing it. Which is a b******t at the same time, if you ask me.
-
This.
-
'Cause players are using his mods and this one all together.
-
I'll quote my post from the other topic:
-
This is definitely broken and something that WG has to address ASAP. I'm trying it in some battles with Orlunu and my ACC Ratio now is around 90% with both BBs and CAs + an average Cital Hits Ratio per Target of 3-4. With the addition of the "Eye of Sauron" modification it becomes literally dreadly at long distance. This game can now be re-named in "World of Point & Clicks" or "Pointing Simulator 2015". Edit: Just managed to land a 64k damage on a Kongou with the Nagato and single salvo.

When they released the first CBT of WoP back, I wanted to do the same thing I'm doing here with Strike Witches as the focus point. Unfortunely, the game was *insert a random verbal abuse*. Still, somebody actually managed to release something but not much if I'm not mistaken or didn't miss anything in the meantime.

So my friend says "Just turn into the torpedoes to evade them...."
