What actual weaknesses has the Smolensk? And what weaknesses has the Thunderer! That is the cruicial point! Because - while both ships are very stong and annoying long range fire starters - the Thunderer is screwed when not played correct. High citadel, easy punishable broadside and no Conqueror super heal. And on the other side we have the Smolensk with no real drawback. Play it save from 19km with magical soviet 130mm gun voodoo or go closer. Because showing broadside is barely punishable. Yes, both are strong. And maybe have to be called OP. But one ship has actual weaknesses the other not. And the same approach is felt now with the Bagration: Too many strengths which are not balanced by adiquate drawbacks. And this is a decisive momentum of balancing: the feeling of positive and negative traits. Fair and square tradeoffs.

Think about this in that way: There wouldn't be a drama, if the new content was balanced and a well fitted addition to the game!

Your comment is only true for inexperienced players, who would also die quickly in any other ship, because of most likely wrong positioning and wrong panic reactions when under fire. Kremlin still outclasses all others BB on tier10. There are also other very strong (and maybe quite OP) ships, but the whole packet (armor + firepower) makes the Kremlin as strong and overperforming as she is. Even under focus fire from the majority of the enemy team.

Please lets not forget that not only CC test new ships! There are way more ST testing ships than CCs! And all of them give their feedback towards every single ship. Wargaming can balance new ships on the input from these groups. The question is to what extent they listen to the testers or to Wargamings Executives who want to have the game in a specific way.

The Bagration has better fire angles, more range, better torpedo angles, better pen, better DPM, better AA. The Atago has a bit better concealment (600m), better torpedo damage and slightly better alpha damage, but due to slower reload the Atago has worse DPM. The only other advantage the Atago has, that she is a little bit more nimble. But that is. I do not see, that the Atago "outclasses" the Bagration.

You list somehow lacks the mention of Smolensk, Stalingrad or Kremlin. Ohio is very strong, but due to the restriction to get her, you can maybe accept her state. Benham is OP and would deserve a nerf to its torpedo-power. Des Moines is never OP and was never. Kitakaze is far from being OP, just look up some statistics. T-61 is the topdog Tier6 DD, but not OP. As the Shinonome is quite on the same level. Kleber was OP and got nerfed the wrong way and is now quite useless to play. Mogador is the best silver tier9 DD, but also this doesn't make her OP. Yamato and OP? Really? Overmatching 32mm doesn't make her OP. Midway and Hakuryu are out of this list, as quite all CV are not balanced for this game. Esp. on tier 10. The upcoming FDR will emphazise this further. Daring is a strong and very versatile DD, but this strength doesn't make her OP as well. Thunderer is the same as Ohio. And could be considered too strong or borderline OP. But nevertheless stating that there are some other (maybe) OP-ships is NEVER ever an excuse to publish another one! As they said about the Odin and Mainz and Aegir. But they paradoxically got nerved... Strange, isn't it?!

Auf der Seite finde ich nicht einmal das Suchwort "Steel". Bitte nochmal genauer zitieren.
