Indeed, but why couldn't the MM take this into account? For example, the Atago could have gone on the red team and the Ognevoi could have gone on the green team. This would instantly have made the game slightly more balanced. He is in the Kiev because the Kiev is in the game. He isn't responsible for giving the Kiev a detection radius the size of Texas.

He is referring to the fact that the green team have fewer "cap-capable" DDs. (As well you all know). The high tier Russian DDs, though classed by WG as DDs, actually play like light cruisers.

Both of those things can be played around or countered. Neither is an instant death-sentence, which detonations, by definition, are. Most importantly, though, neither of those things ever occur RANDOMLY. Using your examples it would be fine if the game just "rolled a dice" and you were suddenly radared by any ship you were fighting or the dice roll said "ship you are fighting becomes invisible to you"? Bad examples, dude, bad examples.

I had this happen the other day whilst in a two-man division. I can't say that it really bothered me that much but the random guy did leave the division straight after the match so it didn't really matter. I asked my division mate about it and he pointed out the little padlock button on the division box in port that lets you lock the division to prevent it happening. Top left of the box if you are looking for it.
