I give zero phux what you think. -

OK, so it occurred to me, to double check I wasn't going mad (well no more than normal), that I must have some screenshots showing my port from previous versions. Check the images below with regard to the amount of zoom and you can clearly see that the ships have stayed zoomed out even if the orientation of the ship has reverted to the angled view. -

Yes, 1920 x 1080 Also, I know that the camera would revert the initial orientation of the ship but the zoom level used to stay the same. -

It was military discipline. The guy was relieved of command and his vessel scuttled. -

In real life. -

Video of it occurring. I don't ever remember this behaviour before (being on the spectrum I am hyper sensitive to change so would know) and the view did not revert before. I have gone afk to cook an entire meal in the past and come back to a fully zoomed out ship. Or, for durations longer than that, waited for SadLemon to ready up a ship whilst in division (Bush will recognise the reference). -

Zoom out and wait. It will zoom back in. I used to have my port zoomed out and each new ship selected would also be zoomed out, now each one starts zoomed in until I zoom out again. Sit for a while and it zooms back in. I checked settings (first thing I did) but could not see anything. Edit: Plus zooming out also rotates ship when before it wouldn't. -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

No worries, mate, was good to meet you in battle. Not that our paths crossed at any point. -
What would be the point? The only thing people could lose is karma and bad players don't have any as they never perform well enough to get complimented. Karma can't go into minus figures so 0 - 1 is still 0

How is your Campaign "The Battle of the North Cape" doing (especially "Stage 5")?
xxNihilanxx replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Is this a contender for quote of the year so far? The Kami and variants, far from being "meh" is only one of the most powerful and deadly DDs in the tiers it can face. -

It is scary just how many DD players do play their DDs exactly as he described, though, regardless of which DD it is. I have lost count of the number of times I have seen high tier German DDs and Lo Yangs ignoring the caps entirely in preference of sailing round the map spamming max-range torps at random BBs. I don't know whether to cry or reach through the monitor and choke the living daylights out of the pathetic scrotes. -
Is daily combat mission bugged?!?!

I always do. If somebody asks me "Have you had enough drugs and alcohol?" I always say "No". -

Public Health Warning: Do not try to understand WG logic as you may just succeed. If you succeed in understanding WG logic then that means you will be thinking like them and therefore as insane as they are. -

Just checking - you do know you have the same camo for the DoY so can see what it looks like on that ship? -
I would advise you just stick to the lower tiers, taking each line to T5 max, until you feel you can hold your own. That way you can survive long enough to learn the game and you also get to know the strengths and weaknesses of each line. Don't move into the higher tiers until you feel you can comfortably hold your own in any engagement. Don't think I am being elitist, or anything, it's what I did and I found it worked very well.

I agree with a lot of what you say, however, it IS in the game and for as long as it is in the game in its current form we have no choice but to learn to adapt in order to deal with it. I still play DDs a lot, I cap and contest the caps all the time and I still rarely get caught out by radar. I know which ships have radar and I know the radar range of each of them as well as the duration (both with and without the module) so I know how close I can get and when to relocate when a radar vessel is approaching. I also get incredibly annoyed when I see a friendly DD sit still in smoke in front of one of the radar ships. Playing DDs is far from easy but it is what it is. If one can't deal with radar then one shouldn't play DDs above tier 4 else you are just a liability for your team.

The last few weeks have been particularly bad thanks, in no small part, to the ridiculous tasks for the DoY campaign. So many people have been focussing on chasing the mission requirements and totally neglecting the game objectives.

As you say, you are an average player at best and, unfortunately, will remain so for as long as you believe that your opinion holds as much or more weight than the experienced, good players on this forum. I have seriously lost count of the number of poor players who come to this forum, spout total garbage, get responded to with facts and then go out of their way to be as obnoxious as possible when corrected. You aren't the first and, I hate to say it, you won't be the last. As people have pointed out already, posting screenshots of a single (at best mediocre) game proves nothing whatsoever and the fact that you think it is relevant despite numerous responses to the contrary speaks volumes. This thread is NOT about whether or not cruisers are easy to play, the thread is actually about people like you. -
That would just make radar redundant which is something that good map/situational awareness can do anyway.
-
I play a lot of DDs and RN cruisers and I very rarely get caught out by radar and get killed as a result of it even less frequently. I usually know where the radar ships are and what the range of their radar is so I know which areas to avoid. Radar isn't your problem.

Was good to meet you in battle, mate. Not a great result for us but you win some, you lose some. -
Meanwhile, back on planet Earth....

That's the thing though, your attempts to be an obnoxious EDIT aside, if you were to perform the experiment it WOULD answer your question. Otherwise you are essentially saying "I have no interest in playing ships that need smoke to function so therefore smoke should be nerfed". Sorry but neither this game nor the world in general revolve around you. Get better or get out.
-
Pradz, people have tried to explain to you why smoke firing exists in the game but you seem incapable of understanding the explanations so maybe a practical demonstration would help. In order to understand the necessity of smoke on certain ships I would like you to grind your way to the Minotaur BUT do so without EVER using the smoke consumable. When you have completed this task come back and tell us how it went.
-
Nope, 44% WR player with 14K average damage. OP, don't blame smoke-firing ships for your poor performance, you have bigger problems than that.
