Why on earth would you go into a battle in a 3-man division and not maximise your team's chances of winning by taking three ships that complement each other? All I can see here is someone shouting: "Friends are OP - Nerf friends!" -

If I fire on a ship lit by your radar will it inhibit your movement? If I fire on a ship lit by your radar will shells aimed at me hit you? Can you see the difference? You should be able to cos it's frelling HUGE. Park in my smoke, by all means, but if you do so make sure you pay a hell of a lot of attention to not getting in my way and NEVER do it if you are already detected and under fire. I am NOT your meatshield. And where did I say anything about it being ok to inflict team damage on a ship in my smoke? The only one who has confessed to doing that here is you. Something in this thread may well be "retarded" but it certainly isn't my argument. This is just a typical example of learn to play. -

So, on the second occasion, you park in somebody else's smoke and then inhibit his ability to manoeuvre within it but it is the penalty system that is at fault? If you played British cruisers you would know just how irritating it is when people do this. Worse still is when someone is spotted and under fire so sails into a Brit cruiser's smoke to park up and the shells fired at him hit the smoke owner. Have some thought and consideration for your team mates. -
I don't know why but I fully expected the Anshan to be a bit rubbish. Bought her anyway when the PA DDs came out and oh my lord - what a ship!

Did this change at some point then because I KNOW I have used radar in the past in a cyclone to see ships 11.7km away. Enough said.

Nope, radar ranges remain unchanged for all. His comment about "Assuming 8km+ radar range" was to do with the fact that some ships have 7.5km radar. Black and the high tier PA DDs iirc.

I laughed but the WG "balance" department either don't understand humour or they have a more twisted sense of humour than Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton. I haven't quite worked out which yet.

Three-man division on Solomon Islands and two of us got disconnected at the same time just as we were trying to take the A cap. Managed to log back in to find that the enemy had all three caps and had alread killed three of our team's ships. As I retook control of my ship two more friendlies died almost simultaneously and we were down to just 36pts remaining. One more ship loss and the game would be over. Time to put on the man pants... and kill 11 of the enemy ships between us. -
I know that. You know that. We ALL know that. Yet WGs attitude is "we'll stick radar on that bridge when we come to it."

I met @Butterdoll recently in his Budyonny whilst grinding through my Bretagne. Sorry, mate, that you had to be on the same team as me whilst doing that as it was one of the worst grinds I have faced in terms of "friendly" team quality. Needless to say it was one of the MANY losses I faced during my transition to the Normandie. Gotta love the weekends. -

This would just further disadvantage teams that start with a low-stealth RU DD versus teams that don't. Anyone who thinks this change would encourage BBs to get into the cap too just hasn't been paying attention for the last few years.

Not according to WoWS numbers. That site says you have played 21 DD games in the last week. Assuming that 11 of them were in the YY you got on the 14th that only leaves 10 (max) out of your 81 games in the Chung Mu in the last seven days. No need to exaggerate, mate.

As you seem to be intent on contributing nothing to this discussion other than trying to be a complete wankpuffin let me explain this for you. So-called "free to play" games are not really free to play. They are actually free for some to play. In order for them to be free for some to play others have to pay else the developers don't eat and the game ceases to exist. We have this "wonderful" game purely because some people are prepared to pay for it. Here endeth the (incredibly frelling basic) lesson. -
@MELONFACTORY You are wrong. You have been told repeatedly in this thread that you are wrong and yet still you persist. Learn to accept the fact that you are not always right. Being the top XP earner, particularly on the losing team, is not an indicator of being the better player in the team, you have had that pointed out to you repeatedly. Just as in game when dead players criticise you, you should listen and learn.

Oh absolutely. I limited my case to the tech tree ships and ignored the premiums solely because the tech tree ships are available to everyone. I tried to argue from a conservative point of so as to not be too alarmist knowing full well that the in-game reality was worse than I described.
