That is not an answer to the double standard, though, is it? It is not about "OMG UNLIMITED PLANES" but about limited AA guns. The OP never mentioned unlimited planes. Not once. Yes, planes take a while to replenish but the question is why do the AA guns not replenish slowly too?

You talk so much twaddle. Why on earth would WG care how we play their game as long as we are paying for it? Why would they decide that the tactics we used were not the ones they wanted us to use as long as it wasn't causing any problems? Do you even think before you start typing? The only thing obvious about the rework is that they wanted to make CVs more accessible and therefore more popular. Why would they do that? The answer, for the hard of thinking such as yourself, is so they can earn more money from them. Nothing more, nothing less. If only a tiny percentage of players play CVs then WG's income from CVs is miniscule. It's pure (and very simple) maths and absolutely nothing to do with WG wanting us to use "fleet formations" or any such nonsense. I know you're not the sharpest knife in the drawer but on this occasion you are acting like a spoon.

Yup. If the player has specced, as you would put it, for "deep AA" it will do that to your planes. Not all DDs are defenseless fodder. In fact, most DDs can do that to your planes if specced correctly so you would probably be better to avoid attacking DDs at all. Similarly, knowing that CV players will avoid them like the plague, most Des Moines, Worcesters and Minotaurs don't even spec for AA at all so you are free to attack them at your leisure. (But Shhhh, let this be our little secret )

Udaloi and Grozovoi both have good AA, mate. Choose your targets more wisely.

I have EM on that captain so it isn't a problem. I kept the Kiev because she was so much fun and started a new one for the subsequent Tashkent & Khaba. Actually, thinking about it, it is probably more accurate to say that my Gremy captain is the one that ended up in the Kiev as I got the Gremy (along with the Yubari and Sims) as part of the bundle I bought to get into the CBT.

I use my Kiev captain in the Leningrad and the Gremy.

Let me try to put this in terms you may understand. Imagine, if you will, that you were sailing your CV BUT in order to be effective you could NOT hide behind an island (maybe proximity to islands prevents your planes from taking off - whatever - it's a thought experiment). Now imagine that, as well as not being able to hide behind islands, you actually had to be between your friendly ships and the enemy ships in order to be effective. Now imagine what would happen to your CV if you permanently were spotted. In such a scenario do you honestly think that the enemy aircraft would be your greatest problem?

Teamplay does not mean all sitting in one blob like a flock of sheep hoping the wolf chooses someone else. His whole point is that CVs negate true teamplay - moving a ship to a flank so that an engaged enemy cannot angle against all antagonists is the epitome of teamplay. It literally forms the basis for most CW stategies.

Nihilan - total CV battles (ever) = 49 Mr (know's nothing so I presume the first name is Jon) Snoww - total DD battles 3766 (which incidentally is currently 176 battles more than this self-proclaimed "CV main" has played in CVs) Nope, I'm stumped, the solution truly eludes me.
