Update and Ranked postponed again?

but... but... if they had been built, they would have been the strongest battleships ever! -
Hindenburg Buff Suggestion. Make Hindenburg great again!
thiextar replied to VeidraVontae's topic in General Discussion
Whats changed is the meta. The hindenburg is an agressive cruiser, its a brawler that relies on either getting crossfires or getting close to be really effective. The cv rework really put a nail into this playstyle, and instead forces you to play the hindy as a full on kiting cruiser, which it isnt. The carrier rework impacted different ships to different levels, and the most impacted out of all tier 10 cruisers is the hindenburg. -
Hindenburg Buff Suggestion. Make Hindenburg great again!

But buffing every ship in the game is the same as not doing anything to every ship in the game... A ship can only overperform/underperform in comparison to its peers... -

Hindenburg Buff Suggestion. Make Hindenburg great again!
thiextar replied to VeidraVontae's topic in General Discussion
Thats the point tho, both zao and henry has much less brawling capability than hindenburg, but in return they get tons of more medium-long range dpm and are both much better kiters(zao is stealthy and henry at long range can dodge almost anything) Hindenburg in comparison is much much worse at kiting, but instead gets a strong brawling capability. The problem is that in the current meta, you dont get to use the hindenburgs brawling strengths at all, for 99% of the time, you just play it like a worse zao basically. So why not just play a zao? -
Cap would be nice, but the only way to maintain a hard cap, would be to make t8 carriers less popular. I dont think the soft cap is gonna change much, except make it so there are slightly less matches with 2x cv, and no matches without cv.

Hindenburg Buff Suggestion. Make Hindenburg great again!
thiextar replied to VeidraVontae's topic in General Discussion
But you just highlighted the exact problem of the Hindenburg. For the majority of the match, its just a kiting cruiser. But there are so much better kiting cruisers out there, such as zao or henry. The only advantage that hindenburg has over zao and henry is its brawling capability, which it very rarely gets to use, that is the problem of the hindenburg. Why you ever want to play it over a better kiting cruiser, if all you do in matches is kite with it anyways? -
Theres your problem ^^. The seafloor doesnt have a hitbox and isnt simulated, so it doesnt exist. What you are seeing is a placeholder that isnt intended to be visible, nor have any effect on gameplay. Its only visible because of your mod.

In what world do you fire 203mm ap at a bow in battleship??? Narnia??? She really isnt tbh. In this meta, she is a kiting cruiser, nothing more. You wont get to use her torps other than once in a millenium, her ap is nice, but you wont get to use it often, because if you are in a position to crossfire, then you arent protected versus carriers. And her brawling capability is pointless, because her aa is weak, so she has no ability to play agressively in the current meta. What it boils down to, is that she is a bad kiting cruiser, with strengths in other areas that she cannot use. -
What you are seeing there is a direct result of potato graphics running on a potato computer. Its not actually there.

They might be, but they are coming for Autumn, so even if they are good changes, it wont stop the ranked season from being ruined, and we will ahve to deal with broken carriers for the entire summer...

How can people play games and be active on forums, and have no basic computer skills? Not trying to insult anyone, but wouldnt being dedicated enough to play games and go on forums, also mean that you have a computer interest?
-
You just announced that the 45 second delay for carriers wont be coming in 8.4 Wasnt the entire rationale of adding carriers to ranked that these changes amongst others would make them less game-breaking? So since you arent gonna fix them for 8.4, can we please not have them in ranked then?

Minotauer and Jean Bart need Anti-Air nerf

"Oh no, there are two ships i cant strike with impunity, whatever shall i do" -
I think what people are hoping for is that wargaming sees that carriers are 10x as reported as other ship classes. Poor people caught in the crossfire, but they play cv so they deserve it

Im doing the same thing. Havent spent a penny since 8.0

Ill save you the trouble of arguing with this guy, remember this gem? The only way to win is not to participate.

Great interesting ships, except for the current cv dominated meta, which makes the entire concept of pushing brawling battleships redundant and useless. Had they been released a few months ago, they would have made a good addition, but with this meta, they just wont be efficient(talking about the high tiers ones, not low tiers)
-
My tip was more "play it like a worse ibuki" because thats pretty much what it is, and the playstyle it has.

Your winrate depends 100% on your personal skill, and nothing else. If you want the mathematical proof off why this is the case, just search for "winrate" on these forums, its been written down in great detail about 1000 times, but the basic principle is that over a large sample size, the players on both teams will average out at 50% winrate each, and the only constant left in all of your battles is you. You can look at your stats here: https://wows-numbers.com/player/534426989,aquatenten/ EDIT: here is a detailed explanation of why winrate works: https://forum.worldofwarships.eu/topic/115505-how-does-skill-effects-wr/

Actually, the really good players are usually very predictable, just put yourself in their situation, and think what is the best move from here? They will do that. Its the potatoes you have to watch out for, they can turn up anywhere, do anything, at any time. They are really scary.

Yeah, i would be fine with it if there was visual feedback, but theres not
