You can reset his skills for elite commander xp, which you will have a ton of if you have any 19 pointers in other ships
-
The port ui just warns you that ifhe is generally bad on battleships, you can still pick the skill, it doesnt actually block it. The massachusets needs a dedicated captain, you cant use the same captain for the us bb line, because that requires an entirely different set of skills. My recommendation would be a 19 pointer in the monty, and another 19 pointer in the massa.

The average rental player has a much worse tactical ability than other players. So in other news, having a rental player on your team, while the enemy team does not, means that you on average have one less player with anything that can be called a tactical ability. I wouldnt say that a player with 50%wr and 1000pr for example has any tactical ability, if he did, he would have better stats.
-
On average, Yes. Statistically, most of the normal ships played in ranked will have been played before that ranked season started, while most if not all rental ships will have completely new captains in them(who would play a rental if they owned the ship?) Furthermore, it is possible to own rentals without having reached more than t8, which you might even have done by buying a premium, this also means that the average experience of rental captains will be lower than that of normal captains. On average, the answer to all your points is yes, and it is the average result that matters.

Getting cvs into cb would lead to the same problem as old times. The carrier player is dominant, and most of the battle hangs on his shoulder. On a sidenote, not receiving the slightest bit of info on rewards or anything before signing up is a killer for me.
-
Can we get the potential rewards clarified a bit better before signing up? Like aproximately what kind of rewards would be given out?
-
Im all for paper ships if they provide interesting gameplay but... Do we really need to cover the glorious history of ships that never even existed?
-
I think epicenter would work rather well for cb, but it just doesnt work in randoms, because its too complicated for the random apes there.

what the hell is wrong with the grosser kurfurst

A combination of a small sample size and the large statistical variation that is present in any kind of team-based pvp games. -
Credit where credit is due: Wargaming containers

It would be even better if it didnt take a full day of animations to actually open the box ^^. Its a good thing that the premium time doesnt start ticking until the box is fully opened, else it would have run out once your back in port -
No, it will only make damage farming even more lucrative than it already is. Even less people will actually be trying to win with such a system. My idea would be to keep the current system, but base the "save a star" on an obligatory vote at the end of a battle. Example: My team loses a battle, when they get back to port, they get a popup with all 7 players in their team, they have to click on one of them(not themselves) before being able to enter a new ranked battle. The player with the most votes will save a star. Hopefully the 20km+ camping conqueror wont get any votes, people should instead vote for helpful people who played the objective.

The ship hasnt been nerfed since it was released?

To save a star or not, the big question.
thiextar replied to Redcap375's topic in General Discussion
No one here has pointed out the real issue with removing the save a star system completely: The stars are a closed system There are four ways that new star can enter this system: 1. Every match, 6 players lose a star, and 7 players gain a star. This means the the total influx of stars into the system is 1 per match. 2. In the lower ranks, you start with 1 star i believe 3. Someone at lowest rank with zero star loses, so no star goes out of the system, but someone on the enemy team wins= influx of one star into the system. 4. People start with stars from the last ranked season. By far, the biggest influx of stars into the system comes from the save a star system, without it, we would pretty much have a system where no new stars are created, they are just transitioned between the players, thus it would be extremely difficult to get to rank 1, and there would be a hard limit of how many players can even get it before all the stars in the system are bound to top rankers who have stopped playing. Basically, we need some form of system where each match guarantees that a net of 1 star is always introduced into the system ,that is inescapable. -
At first sight, losing 9 games in a row seems statistically unlikely, but that is because you view it from the wrong perspective. Humans like to view things from a perspective of themselves, aka the chances of you specifically loosing 9 games in a row, which makes it seem extremely unlikely, next to impossible for this to happen. But when you take the perspective of an overviewing 3rd party, the picture becomes different: Take all the wows players that are somewhat active on the forum, this is your sample size. Now, if all these players flipped a coin 9 times in a row, the average result would be 4,5 flips to one side. But with so many people flipping this coin, the odds that no one gets 9 same sides in a row are astronomically small, and of course, if you do get 9 same side coin flips, you will make a post about it, because it seems extremely unlikely. The perceived chance that something will occur, can flip from seemingly impossible to seemingly unavoidable with a small perspective change of the data.

None of this makes any sense, please elaborate?

How do i learn this superpower? -
Cant look at the replay right now as im not home, but i can say that you certainly have the right mindset to become a very very good player

If you want mindless action, wows is not for you. Cause that went down so well the last time

My idea would be to keep the current "save a star system" but not base it on xp. Every time you lose or win a ranked battle, you get a popup window where you HAVE to vote for 1 player on your team(not yourself) that gets to keep a star in case of a loss, or get 2 stars in case of a win. The person with the most votes get the reward. Such a system would mean that the person that gets to save a star is decided purely by the impression he makes on his team. Theoretically, such a system would make everyone always play for the win, and be nice and helpful in chat. The only downsides i can see would be how to get people to vote, and that people might abuse the system with strategic voting(Voting for the person who least deserve it, to spread the votes and hopefully get the most votes yourself)

Questions for the WG stream.. (already concluded)

The orange letters didnt make a naughty word. My disappointment is immeasurable, i fart in your general direction. -
There will be plenty of events in the future that can bag you a premium ship
-
People say ranked is about individual skills, and clan battles are teamwork. But why cant some ranked seasons be right in the middle? And i dont mean ranked sprint, because they give no meaningful rewards at all, so they are kinda pointless other than a little bit of fun on the side.
-
Too late for that. Best we can hope for is they have learnt something for the future, although knowing wargaming, that would be a miracle larger than Jesus allegedly resurrecting.

Get captain kutznetzov. He will be the strongest of all legendary commanders, because his skill will proc every single game you need it in.
