Seriously? They make changes to commander skills, and some of them are decent(some nerfs to carrier skills) but other than that, they completely missed the skills that actually need fixing. They didn't even touch brawler for cruisers, a 4 point skill that isn't even activatable. They didn't touch the camping skill for battleships. Didn't do anything about cruisers not getting survivability skills, didn't do anything about light cruisers that can no longer mount aft for range. No, instead they made a 2% chabge to the AP skill, because that was clearly the most broken thing about the skills rework /s Also only buffing base secondary accuracy of the German bbs, because as we all know, there are no other bbs that got shafted by the captain skills rework. Oh hello massa Georgia, Ohio, I didn't see you there. Wargaming just appear more incompetent every post they make.

Dont forget to mount the type-2 camo on your kiting cruisers lads, gives you the 4% dispersion protection without that pesky 3% camo that messes with top grade gunner. Dont forget how fun and engaging the new captain skills are!

They are protected against direct nerfs, not global changes. Dont mix what i said here(that premium ships are protected from nerfs) with what i said earlier in the thread (that global changes without compensation can be seen as a backdoor to nerfing premiums) two very different statements, one is an opinion, another is a fact. I get if you disagree with my opinion, but you cant disagree with a fact. thing is though, further in the past, when global changes negatively affected ships, they offered refunds (kutuzov during smoke firing rework), and then they just stopped doing it, atlanta for example got butchered by cv rework - no refund offer, now smolensk gets particularly nerfed by a global change - no refund. I just think its a shitty new policy. Im not arguing that smolensk is now weak, it isnt, its probably still one of the strongest ships at t10, but its weaker than before, and that is what should count if wargaming wants to keep their integrity in my eyes.
-
im pretty sure that anything during alpha/beta didnt have this policy, forgot to add that. Other than that, this has been their policy for years and years
-
Every single special ship before and including smolensk are guaranteed protected from nerfs by wargaming, they changed that policy after smolensk, but not retroactively. Also, every single premium ship they add is guaranteed protected from nerfs.
-
This is a dangerous road to go down. Smolensk was released before wargaming changed their policy to allow themselves to nerf special ships. We may all agree that smolensk is broken, but are we really gonna stand by and watch wargaming break a no-nerf guarantee, while we are cheering them on? I dont care how op a ship is, if it was guaranteed to not be nerfed when it was sold, it should not be nerfed.
