Im perfectly fine with this IF and only IF they offer a full monetary refund. Not doubloons, which are completely useless, and is basically them telling you "You bought x ship for real money, but we are nerfing it, here you can chose between some crappy ships that we left in the tech tree as a compensation" A doubloon refund is basically the same thing as no refund at all, either you get a nerfed ship, or some other ship, but not the one you payed for, and not your money back. -

There is no such thing as straight ahead. either you are above or below the angle of 0. you can be going at them at an angle of 0.000000000005 and the game will see you on the right side of the enemy ship. If they are using a double for the angle, they can have 15 decimals of precision on the angle, so you will never see an angle of zero, and if you ever did, it would be considered either left or right depending on how they phrased their if-statement -
Save a star is a stupid system, but it is the system we have, and as long as that is the case, the best strategy for ranking out is to try to win a little bit but mostly play safe and make sure to get top. It lowers the winrate a bit, but it makes sure that you never lose a star. In contrast, you could go all out on trying to win, get a slightly higher winrate, but need roughly twice as many wins because now when you lose, it sets you back 2 battles rather than one. Math is on the side of the douche bags, and therefore i also am.

While it sounds fun when first thinking about it, there are some massive problems which makes it impossible to balance. For example, radar is a national trait, so one team would have all radar ships, while the other team has none. Some countries dds are gunboats, some hybrids, some torpedoboats, so one nation gets all capping power. Some nation hard counters others(russian cruiser with radar vs rn smoke cruiser) etc etc etc. It would lead to one nation always stomping another nation, in a sort of rock paper scissors kinda way

If they nerf premium ships, no matter how warranted. They should ALWAYS refund for cash. Giving out doubloons is greedy and pathetic. -
If they can actually balance it properly, sure. But if it keeps being as problematic as it is right now, I don't ever want to see them in a competitive mode

No reason carriers shouldnt be able to spot, issue is that they come back so fast after shooting/getting shot. Drop their speed by half and compensate in other means, and they can keep their spotting capability -

As long as its the best strategy for ranking out, people will do that. If my team starts to look like its getting the underhand, i turn into xp farming mode. Hate me if you want, but the system is designed in such a way that this is the most efficient course of action. Dont blame the players, blame wargaming. My favorable system would be: After the battle, you have to "upvote" 1 player in your team, all team members gets to do it, and the most upvoted saves his star. Something along those lines, although obviously the logistics are difficult(what if someone leaves early?) -
aa auras need to overlap, and the continuous damage needs to account for atleast 50% of the total dps, since flak bursts are far to inconsistent. That is a bare minimum change

Tbh, in this season, ships like kitakaze and black seems pretty dominant, neither of wich can be purchaced for money. Theres also ships like musashi, that only cost 750k fxp. I wouldnt say that t9 premiums are that big of an issue in ranked, cause they are so easy to get by playing for free anyways

Im a sucker for complaining about 0.8.0, but i actually really enjoy this ranked season. It spices things up, the gameplay is not so passive, and the team seems more willing to work together when it results in their ships getting stronger. i rate 8/10, the missing 2 is for no divs (yes, i know, most people dont want that, its just a personal preference)

Yup. The best aa ships before the patch are now the worst aa boats, and vice versa. Since previously, the best aa ships were the ones with strong long range aura, but that aura is now completely useless as it doesnt overlap. The non overlapping auras has to be the most stupid change of this entire rework, literally inverting the power-scale of aa ships.

Yup, drastic changes are needed asap. If wargaming are serious about balancing on the live server, they need to be on it right now, not in a month.

I sometimes wonder if it could have worked to just put world of warplanes into world of warships, i mean i know they have different game engines and such, it would be one hell of a patchwork, but atleast it would have been better then this mistake of a cv rework

I havent played many games in this new version yet, but my experience so far is just stupid. ive played an aa specced massachusets that was completely defenseless. ive played a full aa spec 19pt budyonny that was completely defenceless etc etc. From what ive seen so far, aa just doesnt work anymore. Is this just my experience, or do any of you guys share it aswell?

Its random battles, you wont get any form of advanced teamwork no matter how hard you try. Blobs are super simple and they do the job, therefore that meta wont change no matter how much you want it to. -

Maybe i should rephrase that. What i mean is that currently, the playability of dds in low tiers dont indicate anything useful, because the low tier carriers are a lot weaker tier for tier than the higher tier carriers. -
the way to adapt to the new dd gameplay is to play a cruiser
