Thanks for all the feedback people, ill go for both of them :) About all the advice against buying them tho: I of course mean buying them for ironium, which you get for free by playing the space modes and completing the fly strike win event, not with real money ;)

Not tolerating abuse, sexism, racism, homophobia in game chat. Community needs to work harder.

Im sorry but no, no one has a right to not be offended, and they arent being abused because no one is actually hurting them , and they can stop it whenever they want by turning off chat or muting the player. And if we are gonna give everyone the right to not be offended, You might aswell turn off the internet and install a dictatorship... -

saying that here makes no difference. Less that 5% of the players use the forums, and most likely only a fer percentiles of those players will have read this post, and most of those people wont change their ways over a forum post. Dont get me wrong, i would love it if the warships community became all nice and cuddly, but forum posts wont change anything ;) -

Also as stated by johnmac above, this is a very slippery slope. What is hate? Is it something that offends someone? What if i have a political opinion that offends people, is this hate? should this be filtered? What if there is something on the internet that i dont agree with? It offends me so is it hate? If im in a high up position, can i remove it? Filtering and censoring is a very very dangerous slippery slope with an extreme risk of incredibly dangerous worst-case scenarios, far outweighing any benefit of a working censorship system. -

What action exactly? Suggest something realistic that has a snowballs chance in 10 million degrees C of working. -

Then exhaust yourself all you want arguing with them, personally i dont see the point. -

Its not about accepting hate, rather ignoring it and letting it drown out, if you let it get to you, the hater wins. And in a more realistic way to look at it, there is no way of fixing it, it is impossible: No matter how good chat-filters you develop, people will find a way around them. If you make the "misbehaviour in chat" report more powerful, people will abuse it to chat ban people they dont like. Only solution i can think of is wargaming manually going through each and every chat report, which just isnt realistic. Honestly, the internet isnt a place for the easily offended, and i hope that it never becomes it. The only way to make the internet not be offensive, would be with so much filtering, rules and censoring, that there would be nothing free left of the internet, we might aswell live in the soviet union at that point. -
I have decided to stop playing for WR and instead focus on having fun. Its not worth the stress or time to focus on battle outcomes!!!

Clans are good for three things id say: 1. Social aspect, its a good way to meet friends with your same interests and such. 2. Clan wars 3. Economy bonuses. point one doesnt work in a one-man clan obviously ;) Point two needs atleast 7 players. Point three is technically possible with a one-man clan, but practically not. The economy upgrades requires tons of oil, which is extremely slow to get with only one person in the clan. You are better of joining a pre-existing clan tbh -

Honestly, who cares? Id rather have the employees that wargaming would put on stopping "hate" doing something actually important, like fixing the ui. Wargaming has limited resources, they cant combat chat abuse for free, and honestly, id rather the money i spend on the game goes into serbs private duck-pond than into uselessly trying to stop mouthy people in the chat. Honestly, its the internet, everything everyone has ever thought is on here unfiltered unaltered, if you are gonna get offended by all of it, you are gonna have a really bad time. Surely you cant be hurt by something some random bloke says in a videogame chat, no matter how offensive it is. Just grow a pair and ignore them, its pointless to waste resource into fixing something which has no impact on anything. EDIT: Also, something that helps, pretend that the dude insulting you is some 200kg dude called chuck, who lives in his moms basement. Works for me -

Ive never seen flaming in wot or wows forum against people who seem willing to learn. However, when someone comes on the forum with wild claims of nonsense and wont listen, the inner troll of every forumite is released :) -
None, they will be on sale for i believe 8000 dubloons each. You will however be able to buy t10 legendary upgrades for 600 ironium, so id be interested if anyone has calculated just how hard it is to get that.

Hmmm, why no yamato camo? Im sure there was a space battleship yamato in the first space battle event?

1. I have never stated that low winrate disqualifies anything anyone says. 2. the red winrate is based on 35 games, which is a tiny sample size and therefore prone to immense fluctuation, you need between 100-1000 games for winrate to stabilize. 3. You would know all this if you had read any of the hundreds of threads that explains winrate. 4. Still waiting for why my six points stated earlier in the thread were backwards. -

Dont focus on your stats or wins/losses, thats not how you get good winrate, it will only stress you out and make everything miserable. Just focus on playing as well as you can and trying to win to the best of your abilities, good stats will then naturally follow. -

Yes, tons of potatoes have presented their opinion that winrate is meaningless as fact on the forum. And every time, it has been explained and mathematically proven that winrate isnt in fact affected by your teamates or "luck" at all. In fact, it has been explained so many times, in such extreme detail, that no one can be bothered to explain it anymore. Literally just search the forum for "Winrate" and you shall find hundreds of perfectly scientific explanations of why it works. I guess im stat-shaming you now, because im dismissing your opinion, and you have low winrate, so i must be stat-shaming you, it cant possibly be that your opinion is factually incorrect. -

Show me one example where someones opinion was bashed by their stats, where they didnt present their opinion as a factually incorrect fact. Also looking forward to you explaining why each of the 6 points i made earlier in the thread are wrong. Cheers -

thiextar replied to ___V_E_N_O_M___'s topic in General Discussion
Usually when players tell bad players on the forum that their opinion doesnt matter, it isnt because of the bad players stats, its because their opinion is factually incorrect. My stats are somewhat decent, at 55% wr, so people should listen to me right? Well should we see what happens if a make a thread claiming that winrate isnt based on skill? Or that fires are op vs battleships? I would get totally roasted because my opinions in this case would be completely factually incorrect, not because of my winrate.... Low winrate players just tend to have more factually incorrect opinions, which is why you see them getting roasted more often.- 114 replies

what even is this thread... Just posting some answer to random points made throughout the thread: 1. If a guy has a 40% winrate and sometimes has great results, those results arent because of skill, they are because of luck. If skill had anything to do with it, the player wouldnt have 40% winrate. 2. Why would i listen to the tactical advice of someone who is clearly very bad at the game? 3. 57% Player yoloing in to get damage is probably a very good player who focuses more on personal results than wins, i dont like those players much, but it doesnt mean they are bad at the game, they just have different priorities. 4. venom, have you ever played for stats? it doesnt look like it, so why inform us that you are now not doing what you were never doing? 5. you dont win by focusing on stats, you win by focusing on winning. Stats come as a result of playing well, not the other way around. 6. Its not fun to lose.- 114 replies

Then play with a friend, surely its more fun if everyone plays with a friend and have fun and talk, rather than everyone playing alone. Im sure everyone has atleast one friend that they play with... If there are 3 duos vs 3 duos, no one has the advantage
