    Sure some form of rental system for a sneak peek at tier 10 is fine, we already have that with the space events. However, people who are testing ships out for the first time have no place in ranked battles, its like a car salesman offers test-drives in a formula-1 championship....

    This will make the lower ranks horrible, carriers will make all ranks horrible. Between them both, I'm skipping this ranked season, was really looking forwards to it actually, but i guess I'll have more free time atleast.

    Have you maybe considered that carriers have a way too big impact on the outcome of battles, and that impact will increase further by having 1 CV per 6 ships. Carriers have no place in any sort of competitive mode, because they simply aren't balanced.
  5. It will hide all your stats, but pretty much anytime anyone sees someone with their stats hidden, we know that they are most likely very very bad, so it doesnt change anything. Seriously tho, if someone who is really bad at cooking offers you cooking advice, and you are a five star chef, do you take that advice?

    Yeah but do you honestly think that carriers will fit well in ranked? There will be no active play, just cruisers and battleships blobbing it out... I dont see any way we are going to get an enjoyable meta in 7v7 when carriers are present....

  10. as stated above 5-10 seconds is forever in networking terms. If this happens often, id suggest one of two thing: Either get a lan cable or a new router with more stable wifi. Or, if you cant stabilize your connection, you really shouldnt be playing these kind of multiplayer games. Everytime you dc, you ruin the game for 11 other people, thats a bit selfish if it happens often.

    Theres an ultimate edition of a free game??? Anyhow, if you really like the game, i would recommend getting the pc version instead, its basically a better version of the game with better performance.

    It does more than that, it makes it harder to get set on fire by two means: 1. It reduces risk of fire by 10% 2. It makes it so you can only get set on fire in 3 areas rather than 4 on the ship, this means that the entire mid section can only have one fire. Cruisers mostly spam at the mid section, so unless they consciously aim at your bow or stern after the first fire, they will only get one. Meanwhile w/o fire prevention, there are two firezones in the midsection of the ship, which means that cruisers can get two fires much easier by just randomly spamming the mid section. All in all, fire prevention reduces avarege amount of fires by a lot. Its pretty much a must-have for all bbs(except some secondary meme-builds

    If you have problems with planes, taking the anti-air skills is actually a bad idea, they wont stop the carriers from dropping you, but they will take up valuable skill points. It is however very important to run fire prevention in the yamato, and also a good idea to run basics of survivability. These two skills will greatly improve your survivability vs he spammers, and he bombers/rocket planes.     Your avarege damage is unacceptably low in t10 battleships, you are not doing well at all in them. Also, from having played both musashi and yammy, i can tell you that their playstyles arent as alike as you might think from first glance. The musashi is a tier below with the same tankiness and a tighter turning radius, this means that the avarage opponent you face is lower tier, which means that you can usually be way more agressive in a musashi than you can in a yamato. The musashi is also way more forgiving to play because of said tier difference, while yamato is way more dependent on perfect positioning.

    You dont even own the yamato, and you are doing absolutely terrible in the t10 battleships that you do own. OP actually performs better in his yamato than you do in any of your t10s, yet he is here asking for advice since he knows that hes not playing it as well as he could. Meanwhile you are here telling him that a ship that you do not own, in a class and tier that you yourself suck at, is easy to play? What even....

    Abuse of the reporting system

    Yep, anything can happen during those last 10% of hp, he can get a last salvo which kills an ally, he can stealth up, he might have heal, maybe he has a radar and kills a dd? Torps? A freak citadel salvo at a broadside ally? tl;dr kills wins games, and it is important to secure them as fast as possible, denying the enemy team a set of guns. Doesnt matter who gets the kill.

    Thats bollocks, if you are planning to keep your destroyer with an aa cruiser at all times, its entire purpose is gone, you may aswell play a cruiser instead of trying to play a destroyer as a gimped cruiser. Also hunting carriers is the biggest waste of time imaginable, and probably the best way to lose games in a destroyer. A semi-intelligent cv will always position in such a way that you cant sneak up on them, and even if they dont, they can easily kill a dd 1v1 when it gets close. Even if the dd miraculously manages to kill the cv, it takes such a long time, and keeps the dd in a position where he cant duel/cap/spot for such a long time, that it actually still hurts the destroyers chance of winning the match. Hunting carriers is almost never a good play.

    They will be nerfed, this is a comment made from a dev on the russian forum(check the "some interesting info around the world" thread for the full post) "And besides, for aircraft carriers, changes are already planned to reduce their impact on combat - for example, we will solve the problem with early spotting. So, we already know that the balance of classes will change. As you understand, dumping a bunch of changes at once is a bad practice, so for optimal results we try to make changes in order and carefully monitor the balance in the game. Well, obviously, we are watching the aircraft carriers especially carefully now."

    Yamato is extremely strong if you can keep her in an optimal position at all times. I haven't quite got to grips with my yammy yet, but the few times that I've managed to find that sweets pot position, she's an absolute beast. That said tho, I'm not the best guy to ask, because I'm currently potatoing in her by playing way too aggressive. All I can tell you is that the yamato has zero tolerance for not being in an optimal position. If you get slightly to close, you will burn to a crisp(just as any battleship, they all have the same fire resistance), if you stay to far back, you won't be effective, as you need to use your hp to protect your team(although yammy should be played further back than the other battleships. ). And finally, you need to make sure that you are in a position where no one has your broadside. Also worth mentioning that there is a common misconception that a Yamato should always be sitting still nose in, this can work if you have a very good position with an island covering your flabk, or are sure that the enemies won't rush your flank. Generally tho, if you are unsure if you can hold your flank, just stay angled away from the enemies and mobile so that you don't get trapped nose-in when you need to run away. It's hard to give specific advice tho, I'd recommend sending some of your average replays in her, so that some of the forums good Yamato players can analyze them.

    I've found quite often that people will report CV players simply because they disagree with the carrier rework. Now I think the CV rework is as stupid as the next guy, but these people really need to find another way to protest.
