In my opinion the right action would actually be to potentially report this to your local police. It is a scam, nothing else. Under false advertisement they lure you to buy these containers, which is as far as I know not legal and should be handled as such. I have no clue whether it will be eventually prosecuted but maybe, if just done often enough, some public prosecutor in some country might actually go after it.
