    This! For the non-premium bundles, of course, it will be (much?) worse than 1 in 16. THREE sets of directives completed with no ship to show for it so far with ALL of the possible crates opened for the 10 tokens available per day with no British cruiser in my port. WG, could we please have a ship that drops after a certain amount of fails? This is called a 'pity timer' which more intelligent companies have. A simple, "No, get lost!", would be an answer at least but these threads are ignored by the WG staff as the poor sausages know that they haven't a leg to stand on as the player base has worked out the microscopic odds of collecting one of these vessels. Pathetic, WG!

Please don't mention the pathetic flags which do not interest me - I am swimming in those by just playing the game. They hold no value for me. I'll get no premium white Victorian camo, would have to spend the time on the grind and the Captains to arrive to a point which other players get to for free because … ReasonsTM. Why is that motivating, WG? Why? Watch this space for no answer from employees tired of being asked for non-existent explanations for the Puerto Rico, Loot boxes, 'speshul' specials et cetera.

    cv vs dd balance - is this being looked at at all?

    Which, seeing as it's a Premium ship, would seem to indicate other outlier cash vessels might be nerfed in the future. Be careful if you open your wallet!

    Not really, no. I do not play DDs as my main class and am at best mediocre in them. However, from what I can see from my Cruisers is that in Tiers VIII, IX & X DDs are as rare as an honest politician. This latest brain fart from WG is just another nail in the coffin … possibly the last … of DDs at high Tiers. It is normally one DD per high tier game now.

    You've hit the nail on the head there! Crysantos, Tuccy and MrConway are all nice characters and I'd be happy to buy them a beer. However, the convenient ignoring of valid questions about ship nerfs, deep-water torpedoes et cetera does tend to get a bit galling. Why watch Twitch if there is no news? The free crate? Not really worth it for over an hour.

    Last night on the Twitch stream, Tuccy and MrConway were saying not to worry and that for those without the ships there were the flags … yeah, not so much, guys. Like bcadian, I have opened every single crate available from Directives and daily tokens but haven't bagged a ship. This is demotivating as opposed to motivating and I ask again: WG, may we have a 'pity timer' like other games which guarantees you a drop after a certain amount of time? This way you have people excited to be early players of the vessels, but later recipients happy as they know they'll get to play with the new mechanics eventually. 3/10, WG - see me after class.

    [RESULTS] The Perthfect Opportunity

    1. I own the ship and like it. It's not exciting, but it is a solid performer over a long battle despite its short(ish) range. 2. I paid for the ship with cash which means I chose to buy it and enjoyed it immediately. 3. A big thank you to Ze_Reckless for pointing out clearly how microscopic these odds are - something which WG obviously never does with its loot boxes, grinds et cetera. 4. Without a 10-point captain, this ship will get you killed time after time and you'll not win her so I'd say don't use it … just grind your normal ships.

    Thanks for answering, MrConway, but there's no 'suggest' to it as my money has already gone and you have changed the deal on a Premium … I am quite simply trapped. That being said, if this ship suffers a mere 1% nerf as a result of this new BB module then it is not what WG advertised or what I bought and I cannot 'make up my mind' as that implies a choice which you are not, in fact, offering me. This being the case, I cannot see how WG can reconcile the owners of Premium DWT ships and the fact that there purchase has been nerfed … your company is trapped. Still, I hope you'll do me the courtesy of accepting a PM from me in the form of the feedback you mentioned when the dust has settled? Best foot forward, lad - I'd feel ashamed were my company to treat customers like this!

    From someone who seems to be likeable on Stream and quite reasonable, this is a surprising statement. I recently helped to pay your wages, MrConway, by buying an Asashio B. It's the proverbial one-trick pony which must be used carefully if you want to deliver the damage and make it a) work, and b) fun to play. How can you possibly say that, "...we didn't see a strong reason not to proceed…", when vessels with Deep Water torps will have their entire raison d'etre removed? 1.8km detection range will hammer these ships' effectiveness and render them useless and I have to put up with this for how many months? As the Ashasio B was a premium, may I ask for a refund in light of this change? A simple yes or no will suffice, MrConway.

    I am a little bit frustrated, I have to admit. I am British and want to get my hands on at least one of the new Heavy Cruisers. I have completed two directives and all of the possible containers in between, but to no avail. I know it has been suggested before, but could we not have a 'pity timer' set by WG? If after a certain amount of effort on the part of the player no container has dropped, they are automatically awarded one? I believe this has happened in one of the Star Wars games. There have been a couple of grinds in the past where I got nothing and it does demotivate me from playing those lines as I'm watching others playing with higher tier ships (with the discount in money and effort they would entail to obtain) whilst I'm itching to try the different mechanics but cannot. Ho hum, time for the WG shills to chip in ...

  14. @HoLeeKow As far as I am aware, no. The leader of my Clan submitted a Trouble Ticket for exactly this issue and was refused a refund as he had already 'consumed' the digital product.

    Italian Cruisers: Branch Review

    Oh, dear! A full-on remedial tutorial for the Italian Cruisers. That means that a) they aren't popular, b) they aren't working or c) both. The SAP might end up being popular with the recent buff on the angles of ricochet (we'll have to wait and see) but the mid-tier ships are trash: looooooong reloads, unmaneuverable and fragile.

Possibly and age demographic of young tech workers in love with the myth of rich players desperate to empty their bank accounts with micro-payments in order to maintain close to a 50% win rate? Honestly, I don't know. However, it is clear that there is a Dunning-Kruger cognitive dissonance effect going on here. Wikipedia it and weep. WG, THROW THIS IN THE BIN or lose half your player base.     I tried to post when the game crashed...AGAIN...but then the Forums were kaput as well. I said the same as you - where is the two-line courtesy post from WG telling us why we have multiple crashes? I am paying for this game and indirectly their mortgages, so expect that minimum professional courtesy without them taking umbrage. BAD customer service, WG!

Please could one of your staff - any one of them - come on and tell PAYING customers why the game has crashed three times in less than 24 hours? If and when you do, please do not take umbrage at the fact that customers ask for information and are a trifle nettles at such shoddy server stability.

    Is there any particular reason why a single member of WG Staff hasn't been able to pop in and explain what is happening? I pay for a Premium Account and have lost two missions where I had made progress towards free Tier VI ships. Not the end of the world, admittedly, but seeing as it would take two minutes for someone to log on and copy & paste an explanation, I do expect that courtesy. That explanation may be elsewhere on the forum, but I can't seem to find it. 3/10, WG - see me after class!

    Yep! The 'special' with zero RN DDs is not a Special. Seriously, I make credits and flags every day anyway so do not even notice the rubbish dribbling in from this event. WG, with the number of crates people have opened - many players who have paid for and popped many more than myself - and all to no avail, do you not accept that after a big fat zilch = a) demotivating and b) not fit for purpose? No? At the very least, give a pity Tier V to any and all players at the end of a looooooooong 'special' just so they can experiment with the new smoke mechanic and unique characteristics offered by this new line. No? To reiterate by quoting myself: Some players get four ships worth tens of millions of credits in a few missions, Others get none in many missions. I know the Forum trolls will now start defending WG in a vain attempt to curry favour with the higher ups in the hope of garnering a special badge, but don't bother. As one of the minority (20%?) of paying customers, I can tell you that I'll not be recommending this game. RNG/paid gambling loot boxes is a plague on the internet and I will paint WG black for it. All for the want of a Tier V DD which was the straw which broke the camel's back. Was it worth it for a 6-year paying customer to end up so frustrated, WG?

    It is a little silly. Complete all the missions and open all the RN crates … no mission. Re-invest the 60 currency from said RN crates to buy five more crates … no mission. Re-re-invest the 25 currency to buy two more RN crates … no mission. Repeat each week … no mission. Er … get bored and open Steam Seriously, WG, I get the RNG aspect of the crates but if it is 0% then I do get bored and start spending my dosh on other games. 0% is bad for you, so solve 0%. If I don't even have the lowest Tier RN DD to grind and a new Commander to improve, what's the point?

    Bug Reports

    The first Trouble Ticket response I received was the standard click and paste Bot rubbish which a) I had already done, and b) didn't actually answer or solve any of the points I made. The second response 'smelled' more human in its tone, but basically told me I'd have to go through 30 minutes to an hour of generating reports and sending in a ton of files. I had to do something almost identical for World of Warplanes a month ago(which is one of the reasons I no longer play and my Clan has binned the game) and that took me nearly an hour. My computer is a decent 1060 gaming PC with up-to-date drivers which works with everything except WG products after they patch. Basically, although many players are experiencing the same problem after WG patched the game, it is still up to us to jump through hoops to have a 'quitting' ban removed and to recover lost Premium Account time. Very poor Customer Service! Why should I spend half of my weekend trying to prove that they broke the game? That is a serious question - I'd love for one of the CMs to pop in and tell my why I should do that and why they ought not to blanket compensate people. A couple of days of Premium would cost them nothing and would engender positive feelings from the community when they see proactive Customer Support. Typical bad WG service.
