I was thinking about joining wows again for holidays and got myself some presents... 15 admiral boxes and got sh*t out of it: 280 ugly orange cammos (it's actually useful, but not what I was looking for...) and some other stuff

TLDR: In random games, if you go AS, you are hurting your team. At best, you can greatly reduce impact of enemy CV, but every CV will get 1-2 strikes through your defenses and do much more dmg than you ever can. The only other advantage is spotting, but you will not get any experience for that and you have to hope that your teammates are of any good (which is usually not true).
Not to mention that AS is boring as f..., requires little to no skill and gives very little exp.

Tirpitz on sale without bundle, saipan without bundle and really interesting patch coming in.
Looks like I will be playing WoWs again since my major complaint is gone (bundle whoring).

USS Enterprise, Hornet (must-have), Wasp
Mighty Mo (could be premium / reward Iowa), USS Pennsylvania
IJN Kaga, Unryu, Soryu (generally lots of famous carriers there, could be entire second line of IJN CVs)
IJN Ise (after conversion), Mogami after conversion would be also sweet. You could build entire line of IJN cruiser-carrier hybrids up to a decent tier.

I know she had that setup at some point (tested her with it in CBT) but if my memory isn't off that oine got already removed for a 1./3/2 setup at some point before they removed that one for the 3/1/2 fighter setup.
They change them so often and I was still at Hiryuu when those changes happened during OBT/after release that I'm slowly losing the overview of all the setups we had in the past

Shokaku had 0/3/3 for a "long" time, after It was removed only 2/2/2 was viable, I don't think Shokaku ever had 1/3/2 setup. I unlocked Taiho shortly before this change, so I am pretty sure about this

But they already removed the attack setup from Shoukaku a few patches back when she still had her 0/3/3 setup.

Now she has the balanced and anti-air setup to choose from.

Nope, there was no such thing during the closed beta test.
they were toying with it before CBT, but decided that such mechanics is too complex for regular WoWs players, hell majority has trouble using WASD -

Didn't play the game for 6 months, installed it today only because of the bottleships and this was first battle

I wonder if this is normal quality of WoWs players nowadays.

Around 6 months since I stopped playing WoWs and Saipan is still not in game... looks like CVs are still WG's favouritest class

Im kinda glad Im no longer playing. It looks they give less and less sh*t about quality of their patches. It started with 4.1 rolling out with so many ridiculous well known bugs, but WG was like... meh, fixing bugs is for noobs, better release Trollpitz in bundle for million euro.

The changes are more like a buff.
The big circle was a bug, and the torps run now parallel instead of spreading out.
But I was reading something about arming time nerf and speed nerf for IJN torps. Is that really true? That would remove the only advantage that IJN CVs actually have - ability to hunt DDs and CAs effectively. -
Looking back... I've spent quite lot of money on WoT and WoWs, been running prem. account pretty much all the time + some premiums and lots of gold. First time this bundle-whoring pissed me off was the Berlin trio in WoT (still bought IS2...). But it is now getting ridiculous. To be honest, I feel very much like CloakingDonkey (who quit WoWs because of this WG whoring), I don't really want to play if they continue with this strategy. I have some gold left, now I've won some gold from that old Donkey's replay contest and that should get me through if I ever decide to play couple of battles. But beside that... GTFO WG.

Didn't read all of the crap, so... are the IJN CVs getting nerf in next patch, or was that just some test server bug?

DIdn't play WoWs in a long time... Did they finally get the reverse spread for IJN CVs? Did they finally release Saipan? Some TLDR of this patch regarding CVs? Nerf/buff?

So basically, the SN DD's are USN DD's but better? I mean, they are both mainly gun users with short range torps (ignoring top two tiers in both lines) with poor concealment compared to IJN making them rely on speed and maneuverability to survive. Only that the SN versions are more survivable, more maneuverable, faster and have significantly more powerful guns. Also, the torps are super fast and deal massive damage, making ambushes much more devastating. Can't really come up with a situatio where a USN DD would be better, makes it feel sooo much better having gone with the USN line. Not only have we had to put up with being nerfed into the ground and playing UP ships since OBT start hoping for them to at some point getting fixed, now a line comes along that does everything better, how likely is it now that our line will ever be fixed?
USN DDs seem to have better AA (didn't see DPS values yet), but especially panic button is kinda big deal. Although use of that AA is arguable.
edit: And not sure what about smoke. Since they buffed smoke for USN DDs, it looks like that smoke has also become a balancing factor for DDs.

When making such video, author should always click on the second hull. Because right now values shown in that table on the right are for stock hull. And top hull increases AA and rudder shift time. This might give bad impression about these two important aspects. -

Looks like no stealth torping, that might be the national specialty of IJN.

Even if it was true and that scout plane was replaced with fighter plane, then fighter plane > scout plane @Murmansk.
With that 4-point skill that increases range, your range is more than enough. When you use scout, you will struggle hitting even the slowest BBs, because they will be so far away... Oh and btw Murmansk is so ridiculously broken and OP that if it was just lil stronger it would fly at synchronous orbit and shoot photon torpedoes.
