When will border abuse get patched?

As far as I know they said that it is not a priority, so if they change it during this year, it will be a miracle.

    Guarding your CVs

You are the one saying that CVs can defend themselfs, so please, explain how... edit: this is what happens in 99% of cases when CVs don't have at least one CA around them in the early stages of battle (ignore that Ryujo scumbag that torped himself)

    Guarding your CVs

So please tell me how I can defend myself? Im apparently too bad CV player, I don't know...

    Guarding your CVs

You've just proven that you have absolutely no clue how CV gameplay looks like and how CVs work. gz
  5. New today's record in number of kills Not a single enemy cruiser used their "panic button", that was real seal clubbing, never seen so bad CA players in T8 cruisers. Lexington alone ofcourse, (because why would you be escorted by your two cruisers in your platoon, they can just yolo around the map), so more easy pickings... Big shoutout to that enemy Izumo, he played really great game and as you can see, even a solo BB with proper skills, equipment and good captain can make CV's life hard. If I attacked with single TB squadron, only 1 torpedo was dropped, rest died before drop. That would be 3k+base exp game for him if they won. Well played mr. vHenning

    Guarding your CVs

How much experience you have with higher tier CVs where that CV "kill or be killed" meta is common? Sidenote: Kill or be killed was common from tier 5 to tier 10, I was killing enemy CVs since Zuiho (or they killed me), but since more and more (bad) players started playing CVs, it is not 100% rule as it used to be.

    Guarding your CVs

If I feel like there is a threat that enemy CV will try to sink me, I allways ask for AA support from cruisers, eventually ask directly one player driving suitable cruiser around. And then communicate where to go. I remember only 1 game recently where no-one responded and was willing to help, map border that was... But that is exception, and it was weird game late in night, where I was in Shokaku and almost everyone else was T6-T7, this doesn't happen at higher tiers. This, on its own is a pretty good reason why play higher tiers, more teamwork. Even after the initial threat is gone, you should never be too far from your fleet.

    IJN Ise Battleship

as far as I know they want to add entire line of cruiser-carrier hybrids for IJN. But we wil have to wait long, long, long time...

    Guarding your CVs

you can usually distiquish decent CV captain just by the fact that he communicates in the chat and arrange where you will go together...

    Balance between Carriers

Langley's fighters can kill fighter group from Hosho, wait for it to "respawn", kill it again and then kill one bomber group before they run out of ammo. That's how ridiculously stronger fighters from Langley are... IJN CVs are oriented at dealing damage, USN CVs have much better fighters and can also deal decent dmg... Don't try to fit "balance" them in each category.

    Atlanta as an AA platform?

I prefer numbers to some in-game experiments that are hugely influenced by RNG. So here are the AA numbers... (all ships fully spec'ed for AA) Cleveland Pensacola Atlanta New Orleans Baltimore Des Moines As you can see DPS on DP guns is of extreme importance and that is what Atlanta has. No other ship has 48 DPS on DP guns.

    Guarding your CVs

CV shouldn't hide in the corner, it should follow the fleet. If he hides far behind your lines, he shouldn't expect cruisers to babysit him. (also keep in mind that protecting CV is mainly important during early stage of the battle, when carriers are trying to kill each other).

    WoWS: Goods and bads

I agree that low tiers need balancing.
  14. Well, I will play only carriers then if they introduce XVM... XVM in WoT forced me to pretty much stop playing heavy tanks, because knowing that 2 out of 3 enemy arties will gun for you every single time you get out of hardcover makes that class not fun at all.

Navel Gun sizes in inches not mm

surprisingly most of US engineers agree that imperial system is a mess and they would be better off with metric system
  16. I know and I hope that XVM will be forever banished from this beatiful game.

    WoWS: Goods and bads

Im jumping bit late into this topic... if excluding CVs from my stats, I do have over 1400base exp and 56% winrate. I played in total 4 battles in division, all 4 of them with tier 2 cruiser - Chester, divisioned with tier 3 cruisers driven by "noobs" who just got into the game, helping them explain stuff, lost all 4 battles (with average of 46k dmg and 2,5kills per battle ) I posted this into your "Thoughts and Opinions" WoWs video on youtube couple of days ago, I think it still stands mostly (I made minor edits when compared to the original YT comment):
  18. oh yeah, there is one big rumor: http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/24797-a-message-directed-to-wg-about-041-and-mods-is-this-really-true/ (no mods!!!)

My conclusion from this... it is a mess. I fully understand that when it comes to ships, everyone is using knots and nautical miles and I wouldn't mind if that was in game, at least it would make some distinction from WG's tank game. However, as a unit... explanation that it is calculated as described is fine. But why the heck use some random number as equator length? And then use even more random number to derivate nautical mile from metric units. My brain seriously hurts.

    Atlanta as an AA platform?

yes, dual purpose guns can fire at planes. However AA is automatic, there is no action required from the player. Whenever planes get into your AA range, they will get attacked. Also game doesn't care if you are shooting your main guns at other ships, your AA will still have full power. "panic button" is special skill of cruisers above tier 6. You can either choose sonar consumable or AA defensive barrage (not exactly sure about the name), absolutely everyone should take AA defensive barrage (=panic button). It panics all planes inside your AA range (up to 7,2km with upgrade and captain skill), drastically increasing torpedo spread and dive bomber aiming circle - therefore making them miss almost all of the time, it also multiplies power of the longest AA aura 6 times).
  21. I know how exp system works, but it plays exactly into the hands of carrier players. Either other ship classes should get +exp modifier, or CV should get -exp modifier because right now no other class can reach same average exp values like carriers due to how this exp-reward system works.
  22. I found these from that older reddit post based on leaked SEA statistics I've also seen more detailed statistics for each ship, but cannot find them now, feel free to post them...
  23. I know it doesn't have, I am saying it should have negative exp modifier
  24. Houmer: Comparing stats like that is BS... that is like saying that medium tanks in WoT are OP because they can get higher average damage and winrate values than light tanks. Each class will have different "expected" damage values and every class will have different chance to influance result of the battle. Imo CVs desperately need that MM change and also removal of strike decks from IJN T5-T8 should normalise the gameplay. I don't see a reason to argue about this crap until we see results of these changes. The only other thing that should be changed is probably exp modifier for CVs, because their CV income is way higher than it should be. However I disagree that T10 CVs are OP, they might seem OP now, but more than half of the battles is Atago hunting time.

In what way is imperial system any better than metric? I would like to hear that. My engineering brain was dying when I was forced to work with imperial units.
