Ha ha. well thats online gaming at its finest.
-
Graphics or connection is not a problem as have been playing fine on high settings for most the time. its just tonight that it started.
-
I agree. i am probably loosing more to being caped than anything elce.
-
I agree i thought premiums where supposed to be unusual ships. you would expect a QE class to be in the normal tech tree. if they give us QE in the normal tree then Warspite as a premium in dont think they will be any different sept for name and that you will have to pay for one.
-
Looks like WG have had enough of us. On the bright side the latest news said HMS warspite is going to come as a premium soon.
-
Why atleast a premium RN ship is vital to release
Armo1000 replied to lethalbizzell's topic in General Discussion
I think Queen Elizabeth class will be as low as tier 5. Considering all other RN BBs that are far more modern. Also we have Kongo at tier 5 and she is about the same as QE class in terms of when they where built, firepower,Speed In fact QE class is slower -
I know the historical facts don't matter to WG but i would just like to make this comparison. Russian Navy 1941 3 aged battleships, 7 cruisers (including 4 modern Kirov-class heavy cruisers), 59 destroyer-leaders and squadron-d No CVs Royal Navy 1939 The Royal Navy, still the largest in the world in September 1939, included: 15 Battleships & battlecruisers, of which only two were post-World War 1. Five 'King George V' class battleships were building. 7 Aircraft carriers. One was new and five of the planned six fleet carriers were under construction. There were no escort carriers. 66 Cruisers, mainly post-World War 1 with some older ships converted for AA duties. Including cruiser-minelayers, 23 new ones had been laid down. 184 Destroyers of all types. Over half were modern, with 15 of the old 'V' and 'W' classes modified as escorts. Under construction or on order were 32 fleet destroyers and 20 escort types of the 'Hunt' class.

They should have some respect for the RN considering that without the Arctic convoys and lend lease Russia would have been done in WW2.
-
Despite the whole decision being for the Russian people how is it more practical to add them first in any other respect. The RN is just so much easier to work on and flesh out. their is so much more info on RN ships. If they spend all their time looking for paper documents on ships that never existed it will take them so much longer to make the Russian line. The only practical reason for the Russian navy first is because of the RU community. in every other respect it just seems like a bad idea. WG are just letting nationalism get to there head.
-
I agree. They should at least give a statement about it. It just makes me think that they really don't give a dam otherwise which is what i am thinking more and more.
-
Typical WG response Russian translation : they don't care what we think and it wont change.
-
Jets are likely to be included. just not angled deck carriers unfortunately
-
1967 you joking the game stops just after WW2
-
not really when WG only really listen to the RU community
-
Unfortunately as a said before I realy don't think WG caire about British stuff no matter how significant.
-
I wrote one of the first topics on this issue and since then it has become clear that its not just British people that think this is a problem but rather a majority of people who know anything about naval history. Unfortunately despite the clear reasons why the RN should come first it has also become clear that WG don't care about the British. In fact they may even have some petty Soviet grudge against them. So despite the RN being one of the easiest navy's to flesh out with an abondance of real ships and rich naval history spanning hundreds of years. its obvious to me the WG are not going to listen or act on their community no matter how much support the RN have. They will do what they want and only listen to the RU community. Its unfortunate but its something us non Russians will have to live with. i am sure that if this game was being made by a British dev that the RN would be first and the Russian navy would not even be considered. And while i know that this topic will surely come up time and again i personally know there is nothing more to be said. we would have had some sort of response by now if the cared at all. On a side note can anyone name any famous Russian naval actions of WW2 No?
-
I have been waiting for an invert option for some time now. Cant see it as a problem for the devs. don't get why we don't have it yet.

Battleships should be immune to low calibre fire or?
Armo1000 replied to G01ngToxicCommand0's topic in Archive
Bad idea considering that BBs where not immune to even destroyers shells in real life. A DD could cause all shorts of problems to a BB if it got in close and shelled its superstructure. just look at the battle of Samar. -
As many of you may know the post war naval world generally centered around the Aircraft Carrier and away from the old Battleships. With this jet aircraft where coming into the picture and with that in mind naval engineers had to completely rethink the design for CVs. This was first most notably seen with the U.S navy's Essex class carriers. they went from the classic WW2 appearance to the type of shape we know CVs as today. Modified Essex.USS Hornet The main difference generally centered around angled flight decks from straight ones. With this type of deck the aft part of the deck is widened and a separate runway is positioned at an angle from the centreline. The angled flight deck was designed with the higher landing speeds of jet aircraft in mind which would have required the entire length of a centreline flight deck to stop. The design also allowed for concurrent launch and recovery operations and allowed aircraft failing to connect with the arrestor cables to abort the landing accelerate and relaunch without risk to other parked or launching aircraft. USS Intrepid before and after her SBC-125 modification. Now with all this in mind one wonders weather we will see post war angled deck carriers in game or just keep with the WW2 stile. I can certainly see the top modification on the current Essex class being this angled deck mod the allows for you to have jets. Share your thoughts.

i know i am not a fan a paper ships really but know that they are necessary to fill the gaps in some lines .
-
they will just add paper ships where they did not exist.
-
got to keep in mind that WG will be focusing of very early jet aircraft and they will not implement anything that will be obviously OP. Also you can still have angled deck carriers but with more advanced prop aircraft.
-
How is this a weird suggestion when WG themselves basically mentioned that they are considering jets in the last Q&A vid. So jets are probably part of there future plan in the game one way or another. Also keep in mind that an upgraded Essex has far less AA. and as others have mentioned they have other clear disadvantages.
-
Finally a post that is not just whining about us DD players. I agree with your points.
-
You forget the Royal Navy had some of the earliest jet carriers. Also WG will fit any holes with paper ships
