Yes as with any other ship bigger than a DD. Look your new here so let me explain. DDs are not meant to get anywhere near larger ships they are meant to sneak around and find an opportunity for a torp run. The fact that a St Louis can destroy any DD that gets anywhere near is perfectly just.

then you are playing the Pheonix wrong. She is very fast and you should utalise that speed and manirabiity in order to not get killed. Also I never found her too weak in terms of guns or protection. And after St. Louis she is a welcome change.

No Warspite is a Battleship not a dreadnought.

I really hope that WG does not absolutely ruin the reputation of some historically great ships. I think that they need to move her down a teir at least.

If anyone can make one of the greatest navy's of all time look bad I'm sure it's WG. But seriously I do hope that they approach the RN in and unbiased professional manner as to do it the justice it deserves.

So it seems that there is no hope for the RN any time soon. as many of you will know WG is focused on appeasing the Russian community and has pushed the RN to 4th or maybe even 5th place. However for those of us that want to play the RN ASAP there is hope. WG have stated that HMS Warspite and some other well known ships will be making it into the game allot sooner as premiums. Personally i don't think that such a well known ship such as Warspite should be a premium however that is a discussion for another day. I am just happy we will be getter her sooner than the RN tree. The question in hand is when will this be? I expect before release sometime but when during this time is uncertain.

I really dont think that the Russian guys would not play the game if the Russian navy was not in it. if they just added all the significant navys first people would not complain and probably enjoy it more cus of the known ships. And locking the topic will just annoy people more. making WG look more soviet

When HB eventually make it into the game it will be interesting to see how some well known battles play out. Now looking at one of the most famous battles of the war and the biggest miss match in naval history i am curious to know if this battle would be at all possible to play knowing the clear advantage of the Japanese. Here are the numbers Japanese ships: Center Force 4 battleships (including Yamato) 6 heavy cruisers 2 light cruisers 11 destroyers US ships:Taffy 36 escort carriers 3 destroyers 4 destroyer escorts400 aircraft from Taffy 1, 2, 3 Historically the U.S amazingly managed to win by sinking 3 heavy cruisers and tricking the Japanese into baking off by making them think that Taffy3 was the much larger U.S 3rd fleet. Now it would seem that this battle in game would be too much of a miss match for the U.S and the Japanese would be able to roll straight over them. The only advantage the U.S would have would be the 6 CVs which may balance some things. maybe by giving the U.S more DDs than they actually had and sizing down the IJN this battle could work. It would be nice to see this historic battle in game one way or another in the future. Let me know how you would implement the Battle of Samar or if you think it is just too far fetched. This is a good documentary on the battle

Maybe they could do something similar to Samar but not the same for balance purposes. For example only BB and Heavy cruisers on one side and DD,light cruisers and maybe CVs on the other. they could give more DDs than BBs to balance it out.
