Doesn't help if you are in a situation you have to get out off fast.

Not only fires are much more annoying now. Had now multiple games, where it goes like: first hit -> steering and propulsion damaged, I repair, next hit, steering and propulsion damaged and on fire, no repair left, repair of propulsion and steering takes like 75 seconds... congrats, you are dead.

Well, I just think, that WG can call the OBT directly WoWS 1.0 and that's it... because that's how WoT developed.
-
WoT CBT ended with 0.6.3.10 and continued to count from there with 0.6.3.11, while WG called it something like Patch 6.3 (dunno if they started back then). However, there was never a version 1.0 Source: http://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Changelog:_World_of_Tanks_(PC)_Patch_0.6.3.10 http://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Changelog:_World_of_Tanks_(PC)_Patch_0.6.3.11 http://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Changelogs_for_World_of_Tanks_(PC)

There never was ever a 1.0 version of WOT, they just started at some point to call it like "patch 9.8"
-
It is possible, that there will be a form of "accelerated captains training" that can be turned on which will stop XP gain for the elite ship and increases XP gain of the captain. This is at least how it works in WOT, but the devs are not yet sure if they will implement that.
-
Knowing WG and WOT I beg to differ! The OBT will just gradually be the full release, even WOT is still in 0.9.8 ;)
-
That is a NOPE! No freeXP after OBT whipe.

A hypothetical conversation with a new player who came for "World of Battleships"
Nethraniel replied to Figment's topic in General Discussion
Great read for my morning coffee... +1 -
I can understand the "no mod" approach. If it is in the vanilla game, you do not have to read forums, search and install mods and, still you have the same aming help as every other player out there. So I think, that would be a good idea to implement as a standard.
-
I have these issues on my older tower (5600 rpm HDD) while my MSI laptop (7600 rpm HDD) usually keeps up with the timer, but I rarely get into battle more than 5 secs prior to start.
-
yes but then, you have to constantly pay gold/credits+retrainingXP so you need to throw quite a lot of gold at it, especially when playing a lot of different ships per day. It is a slight bit of pay2win having a top XP commander always available, but most people would not spend 500g every time they change ship. So that is more or less a balancing factor
-
Captain's XP and skills are ment to come at a cost. If you can just train a single commander for all of your ships, you also need only to train one single captain to 19 skill points. You shouldn't be able to have a max. rank captain for all of your ships easily. -- inet lag double post --

0.3.1 Complete List of Ship Changes (Including those missed by the official patchnotes)
Nethraniel replied to CloakingDonkey's topic in General Discussion
What was also not in the patch notes and also not in this video is, that the Yuubari's secondary gun got it's range nerfed from 4.0 km to 2.0 km while it's AA aura still is 5.0 km... weird- 45 replies

You could still fulfull them with lower tier US CAs which still have torps... but yes I think something like a auto-reshuffle every 24 to 72 h or so would be good.
-
Maybe also as an addition: It is not like WTGF where you can train one crew for all of your tanks.
-
Murmansk has no dual-purpose secondary/AA-guns, this is only true for cruisers T6+ (exception the T4 Yubari, which also does not get any profit from that skill).
-
Nothing wrong. Each commander can only ever be trained in a single ship. However, commanders placed in premium ships do not get any penalty for not beeing trained, and can gather XP normally.
-
The high tier grind is also implemented in order to keep the lower tiers more populated.
-
You just did not thought through your statements. That is why you get critisized. And no, the aiming help for torps is not comparable to gun aim assist because of travel time and evasive maneuvers
-
14 games in Sims with 2 wins and 12k average DMG per battle... not really "owning everything"
-
Playing almost exclusively IJN DDs up to T7, I can always change target with X when I point the reticle in torpedo aiming mode at a target and press X. No probs ever.

The extinction of IJN DDs. The why's and what follow's
Nethraniel replied to Stugga's topic in Archive
+1 to that. I also really like the IJN DDs but am really underwhelmed by their performamce. Guns are only good to prey on extremely low health targets. Running away is next to impossible without distraction by other ships. -
According to the devs XP gain is strongly inflated to allow testers fast advancement. Will be severely reduced after the whipe

Bounced a Nagato Secondary battery shell with my Sims. Is this supposed to happen?
Nethraniel replied to TheDraconicLord's topic in General Discussion
Yep, should be 155mm secondaries with AP and below with HE.
