One more thing I would like to bring to players awareness, please be aware at the possible cost of buying these crates, 2850 are required to unlock all bundles, the largest you can get is 300 which I suspect will be extremely rare based upon the previous event when the largest amount you could get was 250 token in a crate, again extremely rare. There was also 10, 20, 40, 100, 150 and 250 available. In this version it's just 5,10,15, 25 and 300. Buyer beware it took 97,000 gold to unlock all bundles in the previous event and the tokens in these crates other than the large 300 are significantly less than the previous event. You require 10 x 300 straight out of the gate and the luck of the Gods to make this even remotely affordable. You can get up to 54 containers from the directives and daily missions, and that got me the t5/6 in the last event, so i'm again estimating that will be enough for the T8 or more likely just close enough to unlocking the T8 to make you feel like with just a little luck and a few thousand gold you can unlock one ship. Good luck, hope you all hit loads of 300's but just be aware of the click bait maybe next bundle aspect of this version of crates, and remember a few weeks time you can get these for FREE, they are after all tech tree ships.

They destroyed the new German cruisers when they looked like being balanced and fun, and then they boost the OP BS russian paper ships through the roof...one good thing this release does along with the communist style ban on CC's from reporting on WiP ships ends beyond any shadow of a doubt the question of soviet BIAS...it's here (always has been) it's real and its absolutely MASSIVE. Still can't balance CV's and subs are looking to be totally broken but rammed into the game regardless. Like a square peg pounded into a round hole. Just another day at the WG office.

Love your profile pic your gorgeous :) Missouri and Musashi were 750k, i'm pretty sure the krondstadt was first 1mill and about the right price, for a t10 I would have expected somewhere around the 1.25 mill mark. But to double it and make it a 2 million for a totally mediocre T10...just no...unless your swimming in FXP...just say no. They dump a lot of these on not too bright players then 2 mill becomes the norm...just don't do it people :) That's almost 6 Nelson, almost 3 Missouri or a Freisland and Azuma. You could also grind the Kremlin and Grozovoi from T5 and have 12 new ships in port and be halfway to an Ohio. The price hike to double the previous FXP vessels cost is just another way WG are reducing value and trying to drain away players accumulated in game wealth, same with Coal ships, Special commanders for almost 200k coal and crates for doubs in the armoury. Less flags and camo in crates, less gold, gold compensation for duplicates all reduced or removed. And Super containers, I think using those words is border line false advertising there is little in them these days. Yeah they are FREE and as such always welcome, but they are no longer in anyway super and another indicator of the WG concerted attempt to drain away accumulated in game wealth. They do this in the hope of forcing players into spending the huge sums this game can cost. So save your money and save your FXP and accumulated wealth till they put some value back into stuff again. I've stopped spending on this, my main account and my grandsons account, I started playing with 9 other family members and friends from WoT but I am the last one still playing and have now stopped spending. It's personal choice of course but you can play this reasonably well for FREE, or as I have found there are a ton of other games without the frustrating mechanics or money milking practices you find here. 2 million fxp for Hayate...JUST DON'T lol

As with many of the German premiums these ships started out promising and pretty exciting but again as with most German related material WG were never gonna let them into the game as fun and engaging ships, Mainz looked an amazing ship when first announced and the big word appeared to be FUN, but steadily worse and worse nerfs to these ships have made them lacklustre and mehhhh, bad AP pen and real bad HE slow, decent armour in same or lower tiers make the ships manageable and maybe even fun v lower tier ships, but uptiered without heals...just no. Again WG you seem determined to take anything that can possibly be called a fun ship and make it pretty much irrelevant to most players other than collectors. I almost broke my promise never to spend on WoW's again when these ship were announced, but to watch them steadily nerfed into the ground test after test and to listen to the CC's get more and more disappointed in them is saddening. And I trust CC's opinions far more than Dev's or overhyped press releases, which is probably why after the next patch CC's are banned from reviewing ships till after they have been released on an unsuspecting player base. So WG can put out any old junk and players will still buy them untested, or that is their hope. I'm not touching these ships, as they have gone from promising beauties to could have been's. I hope many others don't pick them up either. When you place these against upcoming Russian ships the difference is stark and we know which ships will be by far the best when compared side by side. Disappointed….again.

The time and effort put into the game to generate 2 million FXP makes the ship expensive not in financial terms but in time and effort invested...so 2 million for that or any ship is extremely expensive. And he is right...2 T9's is a far better use of the FXP. And many of the t9's are probably better than this ship...id take Benham and JB over it everytime. In fact id take most of the T9's over this ship.

I hear you there, for sure it does fill in a gap in the roster but point i'm making for 2 million fxp...it is a bit mehhh, infact for 2 million...its a lot mehhh lol, and indicative of the continued fall in value of ships, packages and bundles while the price steadily increases. Wasn't the Tirpitz the first t8 premium at £24.95, now a t8 BB will set you back around £39.95. I don't mind spending in a game, I spent a small fortune here, WoT and warthunder among others, but the value I feel i'm getting is way less than 2 years ago and many of these ships are just reskinned tech tree ships, not only is value falling but WG are just getting lazy. Tweak stats, stick a skin on it...£40 please, or have some credits a few crap flags and bundle it with a reskinned tech tree ship for £59. As you say the Japanese lines could do with some love after years of neglect, a hybrid dd does fill a gap but for what it brings the 2 million price tag is obscene.

CC's reviewed it and called it mehh, average, a ship with no real identity neither a torp boat nor a gun boat and hit with the anti Japanese hammer WG seem to have held for several years now. 750 fxp for Missouri and Musashi I get is a bit low, 1mill for Alaska I get and about right, 1.4 million maybe for a T10 ship...again about right but for a mehhh t10 none russian freemium you laughingly value alongside the Smolensk. I think not. WG are getting tighter and tighter with content these days, gold issued along with new ship releases in the premium shop bundles down from 9k to now 3k, doubloons removed from xmas crates as compensation, less flags, less camo's also in these crates, free tech tree ships with early access bundles that could cost you upto 91k gold to buy all the bundles. Now upto 250k for coal ships and FXP ships now costing 2 million, a 100% increase on the last t9 release, really? 100% for a 1 tier step up. WG are doing this to milk away accumulated resources from those they consider whales in the hope they keep buying these over inflated premium shop packages. I have almost every ship on my main uptill xmas this year but WG's current shady practices and big reduction in value of anything currently on sale has made me put away my card, if the plan was to encourage more or continued purchasing reducing value of everything while increasing the price is not the way to go about it. You have put me off spending not encouraged me to spend more money on content with less and less value. Yuwatsit...a forgettable ship with an unforgettable price tag. Get real, technically a free ship, but not in time or effort required to accumulate such a vast sum of fxp.

Answer to my own question and a thanks to Yamatoultramangrimlock for being first to post a youtube crate opening...you do indeed have to wade through the useless credit ships in "reward one" before getting a shot at an extra Ovechkin. Grimlock pulled a N.Carolina and Scharnhorst. If you have the money and want one or both captains and require a small chance of Ovechkin or a premium then go for it its your money, point of this question was to clarify whether reward 1 was a 1 shot reward, well it seems they packed it out with tech line ships you need to wade through to get a shot at the better stuff, encouraging you to buy multiple packs to hopefully get what you want. Its badly worded and gives you little explanation of the likely need to buy multiple packs. Crates are a gamble but like the xmas crates appear rigged to give you the low value stuff first. A bait and switch of the highest degree. BUYER BEWARE.

Its not a current offer, you could get both commanders, the one in the hockey uniform and the other one, so you could choose to have both as Murican or russian or one each nation if I remember correctly....this "offer" is last chance for WG to milk some extra cash out of the collection....sry meant to say last chance to gain both captains. But beware, despite the wording clearly saying 3 combat missions I get the impression the first mission can be given over and over till all credit ships have gone. I Suspect another click bait and switch. And players will find to their cost they end up with multiple missions from the ship category long before they hit an Ovechkin. I suggest you avoid the bundle till its clarified either here or via cc's opening crate maybe in a vid. I wouldn't mind a punt but im in no way dropping that kinda money on tech tree ship missions.

Now I would like some clarification here as almost £100 is really really really expensive, it states that the crates contain one of 3 missions, the first being one of several ships...my question is can the first mission be given out over and over till all the ships are gone or is it a one time mission giving a random ship. I ask this because it's not explained well and could be misinterpreted. I could open the containers and receive the same useless credit ships or premiums I already own converted into credits and not get the camo or Ovechkin. Credits for £100 is down right robbery. If it is Just 1x the first mission can be given then that's fine, still expensive but fine. If you can get the first mission over and over till the credit ships ( i have the premiums and dropping those will convert to credits) are gone then you have misleading worded the pack description and it should state they can be earned multiple times. If the ships in "reward" one can be gained till all the ships are gone then I think this pack is borderline click bait designed either by mistake or on purpose to get people buying this pack mistakenly thinking they have a chance to get 3 drops in the crates....Please clarify, can the ships in reward one be gained multiple times till all ships are gone. The argument on gun type v hull type is simply open to speculation as many nations classify their ships based on role while others use gun calibre or displacement to classify their ships. These nation specific classifications would also change based on current political stance, national interpretation of current treaties or even whether they signed up for certain treaties in the first place. So to argue and try to shoehorn ships into classes based on 1 or 2 criteria is open to speculation but never going to be as black and white as "it's a Light or heavy cruiser". For example Monitor's are they battleships or sea going shore bombardment platforms the role they were used for, because they were certainly not very capable of open water fighting, or dd leaders, are they dd's, light cruisers or something inbetween or role specific. On this topic as in life there are too many variables to simply place every ship in one definitive list. And then there is the FACT that WG do what the hell WG wants to do....I wouldn't be surprised if WG brought out a russian ship with 30 inch mains, 280mm secondaries and 203mm AA guns, called it a ddcruisingbattleship based on some mythical blueprint they found on the back of a russian fag packet and sold it for more than the Pueto Rico. First WG couldn't lie straight in bed and second they have very general rules about classification based simply on "BALANCE" and what they want to sell at the time. In the end it's a game and not worth getting your knickers in a twist. Take whatever class WG want to stick a ship in with a pinch of salt, they will do what the hell they want in the end.

I found the random keystrokes in the Aprils fools day event description on the portal to be much more informative than WG's attempt at justifying CV rework and Russian bias in the game. :)

I sense ( not really sense...I looked) you play most in div's with good players, communicating on discord while clubbing seals so you can feel superior telling people how good you are. I earned my stats solo, not on the backs of other div m8's. I like to see other opinions from CC's and average joe's here, just like in real life if I am making a purchase i'll often look at reviews first. If you want to throw your money around blindly both here and in real life that's up to you. But when companies ban their products being reviewed/previewed until after they are released or purchased kinda makes you wonder what they want to hide, and its pretty obvious that this block on previews is to dupe day one purchasers and stop them from weeding out the wheat from the chaffe.

Nurnberg is a full 2 tiers below. and doesn't face ships like Kremlin with it's armour schemes, Guns are a slight improvement over Nurnberg but in no way competitive at higher tiers, they are essentially slightly improved tier 6 guns that can and will often face T10 ships.

The guy above your post pretty much covers it pete, from reload time to fuse arming time nerf making it overpen cruisers ect...Sunleader covered it all. Plus i'm a bit lazy and he did such a good job for me. A tiny turret armour increase doesn't compensate for what they nerfed over last several tests. And ships that could butter the turrets will still butter them.

Hate to break it to you but for a long time now ships gained from event ship crates have been credits not doubs, they even removed doubs from Christmas crates, WG are now on and have been on money grab mode in regards to what they give out in crates for approaching a year now. On my main I have pretty much every ship in the game the doubs compensation was in my eyes the final reward for supporting WG with so many premium ships and premium time over so many years, so to have that removed by them was a kick in the citadels. And as WG have decided to remove that value from the crates then I have stopped buying anything from them. So far I have let every premium this year slide unbought, from the Chinese new year and the onion bhaji, to the dd's in current events, and I hope others also boycotte the premium store. The money I spent on this game now goes on other titles like Warhammer2 total war, where massive DLC cost around £7, or BattleTech and sub nautica and I even went back to Warthunder who have introduced anti cheat measures and the game is much more enjoyable now. So gotta say thanks to WG really, i'm pretty much cured of maxing out a WoW account and realise there are a ton of better and far cheaper games out there. WoW is not my go to game anymore and I frankly don't miss it. But forget doubs from the crates...its credits from now on. Boooo WG.

The community as a whole is very anti CV, and yet WG keep adding fuel to the fire with more frustrating mechanics in an already frustrating and badly introduced game mode. Do they see what's angering the community and then simply laugh and add more of the same bad mechanics just to trigger the majority of players even more, or are they really so oblivious to their own products failings they just don't get it. I know of no other company in the world who operate like this, it's almost as if they want to destroy their own game. Surely no one is that stupid. Adding AP rockets to CV with equivalent to 203mm ship main armament which will now ruin cruiser game play the way they have made dd game play such a fun and engaging game mode is simply mind blowing. Does anyone think this is a good idea...other than the 4% of CV easy mode farmers who will be laughing even louder with their ships already invisible for most of the match, and pretty much immune from HE and air attack and ineffective defensive fire while spamming endless plane waves every 20-30 seconds , and when angled pretty much able to take a ton of incoming ship fire with a shrug of the shoulders. I could have summoned up this post on WG's latest foolish plans with 2 words, first beginning with F and the second with an I, because that's what this new hilarious decision points to them being. Unbelievable but not totally unexpected.
