  1. Oui, c'est vrai que l'idée d'autoriser des CVs plus bas tiers peut être un compromis, mais est-ce que cela ne reviendrait pas à implémenter un outil de vision, plutôt que la classe en soit?   2. Hello everybody! As a first post on the Englich forum, I'll quickly present myself (and sorry for my mistakes in advance): I'm a 19 years old Swiss guy (although French speaker) which has been playing Warships since 2015, actually with the start of the OBT. I've been streaming on a French-only community channel, the World_of_warships_FR for aabout 2 years now, and I've casted alongside my colleagues most of the major competitions in World of Warships. I'm a quite decent player with enough knowledge to, i assume, put the balance of the game in question (Don't jump at my throat just now, I'm not here to Q_Q). So, let's get into the matter: since a good 7-8 months now, in facts since KM BBs, the BBs have had a stupid popularity-power creep over any class in the game. That tends to calm down, but with the new RN BBs coming out soonTM, we're gonna go for another tour *sigh*. With that drastic increase of BBs came a drastic decrease of cruiser players at high tiers (7-8-9-10), and i've tent to more and more ask myself: is is right that BBs should have the right to shoot at a same tier cruiser with AP, and lololpen them pretty much anywhere? Of course, I'm dramatising a bit, it's not that bad, cruisers are cleary not unplayable nor weak for acknowledged folks, but for most of the playerbase, getting punished as hard as that is not fun. they prefer to sail broadside on in a German BB at 20km, so they're that nothing will happen to them and that they will be able to piou-piou all around while their cruisers get wrecked at the front line *re-sigh*. Anyway, i hope I haven't lost you, but to synthesize, here is my question: Should we delete or change the overmatch mechanic, so that cruisers shouldn't be so underwhelmed in a 1 on 1 engagement? Please respect my point of view, it's not perfect nor right, but I'd just like to open a debate with you guys, and see what you think ^^ Am i right, am I wrong? Should noobs train themselves better, or should we ease it a bit? PS: Don't trick me into Rock-paper-cissors, this doesn't exist anymore in the game. BBs have more than enough ways to easily defeat DDs (Muh AP pens), and some DDs are better gunboats than cruisers :/ There you go, have fun ^^

    I've had an interesting idea on how to change the overmatch so it would less idiot-proof: If the calibre of the shell is 14.3 times bigger (or more) than the ennemys raw armor value (same value as overmatch), then the shell isn't activated, and the fuse doesn't go off.That would firstly eradicate pens on DDs that are kiting/trying to avoid shells. Thats just an idea, and its issues are that maybe it should only be implemented on DDs, as it would result in too many nose overpens of cruisers at close range, and maybe more issues. What do you guys think? crap idea, or is there something to take?

    You got a problem with damage spamming? Just build your commander in a sruvivability build. i can swear that you're so resiliant to HE spam it's honestly discusting. The other, I've endured over 200k in my Yamato. Not potential damages, it's raw received damages, and I survived. So yes, but no. ^^

    Overpening is not a good mechanic, but BBs with impenetrable citadels isn't as well. nobody should be allowed to permanently stay broadside and stay alive. Should it be torps or shells, the punition should be very heavy. Edit: and 15-20k on a broadside BB is just not enough of a punition.

    They have a shorter fuze, but regular normalization.

    Yup. Moskva shells have such a good pen due to their ratio weihgt/speed. And for some obscure reason, although the *simple* equation of cinectic energy tell us this = Ecin = M/2*V2 , which means that weight is divided by 2 and speed is squared by 2, weight is in game more importat than speed. So in reality, speed is more important than weight, but for some obscure reason, it is not in the game. Otherwise, Hindenburg would have much higher pen than DM at range ^^

    Well there is an issue about BB population for sure, but I don't think that it's too much of the problem. The problem is in the positioning of those battleships, and their accuracy. A BB is as accurate at 20km than at 3km, due to sigma mechanics. When BBs are on the second/front line tanking and protecting their team, there is no problem for the ennemy cruisers to find a good position in 2nd or 3rd line, or on a flank. But you can't predict that a GK will be sitting on the 2 line, going at 1/4, with an improved range mod, right when you're fighting a DD over a cap point, simply because he shouldn't be there. Yes he'll do damages, sure, but he won't do the job he's here for, and it's tanking. Like spotting, tanking isn't rewarding, but that wins game just as much as damages *says a guy with 33% survivability rate*

    Hum sorry my friend, but Normalization angles of shells have been fixed on caliber, not on nation, quite some time ago. 203 have 203 normalization, that's it ^^ Only RN CLs Ap shells have an improved one :)

    Also, wanna say thanks to you guys. Comprehensive feedback is great, it's good to see that people on forums still want to think and discuss, even about the most basic of features. Keep it that way ^^ (Because it's not the same on every forum, I can tell...)

    Well thanks ^^ In facts, I'm not an incompetent player, I've often 1v1 Yamatos or Montanas with my Hindenburg or Msokva, simply by angling effectively. In my honest opinion, cruisers are fine for people who really know their thing, but to new players, it may seem mysterious or unknown. What Quetak suggested is a really good idea, because it would allow new players to better understand the why and the how. On the neutral stance, I'm neutral on this question. my post may not mean it tho, since English is not my language, i haven't been able to be more neutral. I've had several talks with my community, and quite some people thought that there was a problem. That's why I'm here with a pole, I'm just trying to take temperature, and see what people think of the topic. For now, the majority seems to be ok with the current state of this mechanic, and that's for the better :)

    Je suis d'accord sur ça, évidemment il n'y a rien à redire sur ça. Ce que j'essaye de dire, c'est que ces navires n'ont même pas encore de carac qu'ont les traînent dans la boue sans chercher plus loin. Un Benson-like sans barrage qui se joue à la torpille plutôt qu'à la smoke, bah ça n'a rien à voir avec le Benson qu'on connaît (Généralement, c'est par pour ses torpilles qu'on le choisit). Je veux juste leur donner leur chance, c'est tout

    C'est pas qu'ils ressemblent furieusement au gameplay des BB US, mais c'est tout comme. À voir ensuite, mais pour l'instant la branche n'a rien de spécial (excepté répa et HE améliorée), vu qu'ils n'ont plus de radar. À suivre

    WarGaming splitent la distribution par serveurs, pas par nation. Les TDs chinois sur WoT, c'est la même chose. Je ne vois pas en quoi c'est un mal de satisfaire tout le monde tbh. Et en plus c'est du contenu neuf. Et si on part sur l'idée du copié-collé, on en parle des BBs anglais?

    Recherche un clan

    Bonjour tout le monde! DISCLAIMER: Avant de commencer la présentation, je souhaite préciser le fait que je ne cherche pas absolument à intégrer un clan, mais à rejoindre des joueurs avec qui j'aurais des affinités pour la suite de l'aventure, dans le sens où je ne rejoindrai pas un clan par défaut :) Mon profil de joueur/utilisateur: MrTonMou, anciennement Mr0meg4 (jugez pas hein ;_;), compte créé depuis 2012 mais actif seulement depuis 2015, avec le début de l'OBT de WoWs. D'abord un jeu passe-temps (j'étais principalement sur LoL à l'époque), WoWs va dès septembre prendre sévèrement le pas sur le reste jusqu'à ce que je ne joue presque plus qu'à ça durant l'année qui suivi. Avec des débuts quelques peu catastrophiques (Vous savez, le tomato qui joue pour le fun... Bah c'était moi, pendant 1200 games T_T), je me suivi à suivre des streams et des vidéos qui m'ont aidé à progresser à mon niveau actuel, et plus particulièrement le Stream du Neuneu d'ailleurs ( <3 ). C'est à ce moment que je me suis moi aussi mis à streamer sur la WoWs_FR (qui n'est plus à présenter aux amateurs de Twitch je crois ^^). Voilà donc bientôt deux ans que je stream, et deux ans bien plein que je joue, avec maintenant 7'500 batailles à mon actif. *Instant stats* Je m'améliore encore, les courbes montent. Voilà *Fin de l'instant stats* 172 navires au port (Tous les T8 du jeu sauf Charles Martel et Z-23, et un ou deux Premium) dont 9 Tier 10, avec une très légère préférence pour les BB et un léger dégoût à jouer les CVs, Community Contributor, expérimenté en tant que caster, moins en tant que strateur et lead, mais je m'y intéresse de plus en plus quand même. L'aspect Clan War et compétition m'attire, et j'espère trouver un clan en adéquation avec ceci! Dans la vie de tous les jours, je m'appelle Thomas et j'ai 18 ans (Soon 19), je viens de terminer mon lycée (je suis suisse au fait) et me dirige vers l'Université pour des études de français et d'histoire. Naturellement, j'aime beaucoup l'histoire et au moins autant apprendre. Je suis très curieux, et j'adore me donner à fond et m'améliorer dans ce qui me plaît! C'était plus long que prévu, mais en même temps je voulais que le clan qui me recrute sache qui il souhaite recruter. Si vous avez des questions, n'hésitez pas! Je me réjouis de lire vos réponses :)

Hmmm, je commencerais par: 1: Alerte de tir en approche 2: Poussée d'adrénaline 3: Expert en démolition 4: Amorce à inertie pour obus HE, appelé IFHE, (SEULEMENT si tes canons sont en 152mm ou moins, ça sert à rien sur les 203mm et +) ou Expert en dissimulation. 2: Expert tireur d'élite 3: Surintendant 3: Expertise de l'armement des torpilles ou Vigilance 1: Cible prioritaire, expert chargeur ou maintenance préventive, à toi de voir. Cadeau, et bonne chance! PS: C'est un build aggressif, il comprend donc très peu d'outils défensifs, y compris niveau AA.
