Are you sure? Both the 15-inch Mark I and the 36 cm 41st Year Type had an IRL rate of fire of 2 shots per minute; in-game, I think that the Fuso shoots a bit faster than the Warspite (it has a RoF of 2.1 versus 2).

Which ports would you like to see in game?

Taranto, with its swinging bridge? -
Don't forget that, if we are talking about their belts, not only that of the Fuso was vertical, while that of the Hood was sloped (therefore making it more effective), but on the former the 305 mm thickness didn't cover all the length of the citadel. So, I wouldn't say that the Fuso had an edge in protection...

Another piece of my childhood that it's ruined forever... -
Yes, but those were conversions from full battleships; and because they needed carriers.
-
Oh, I am relieved. For a moment, I thought this was yet another topic about the Ise and the Hyuga...
-
We could also observe that some full-fledged battleships, i.e. capital ships meant to fight with their enemy counterparts, did show a tendency towards the "glass cannon" status; of course we can mention the Italian designs from the Dante Alighieri to the Francesco Caracciolo-class, but also ships such as the Fuso-class. In other cases, instead of a fixation over speed, it was merely due to economic or political constraints (like the Courbet- and Bretagne-classes).

As Deamon93, 21 knots were not that snail-y back in WWI... Definitely not a cheap alternative. If we compare the cost of building for the Dreadnought and the Invincible, we find out they cost more or less the same.
-
Yes, they were definitely not a "cheap alternative".
-
Mainly because of their slower speed, which however made them perfectly able to stand in the battleline of the era. In other areas they did feature some improvements over the QE, however (for example armor).

A Historical Video about Tirpitz and Bismarck.

...Are you serious? Are you going nuts just because I pointed out that a documentary is not the same as a historical video? ...If that's the case, you don't deserve a reply. Have a nice day. -

It's not a historical video, it's a documentary. Also, "mega ships"... right... -

Haven't they pretty much implicitly admitted that it's almost sure that France will precede Italy? -
I agree; it's a matter of perspective.
-
That is up to debate. If we go by battleships and battlecruisers involved, it's alright. If we go by tonnage and personnel overall involved, I'm afraid Leyte Gulf should take first place.

The idea of a Dutch tree has been floated some times in the forums, and each time the conclusion was that, although they do have quite a bit of ships, they're not enough to stand alone, as there are too many gaps. The Australian Navy is put even worse than the Dutch. -
...And not that useful when sailing in battle, amirite?

I had heard she was basically a happier Zara... with the bonus of considering clothes as being in the way.

I'm afraid "good looks" aren't enough to make a ship worthy of a specific Tier...

History is not that important in determining the order of appearance, I'm afraid. Anyway, I am in no way against seeing the French ships; and I cannot deny that they even have a bit of an advantage over an Italian tree, as some lines are more fleshed out (aircraft carriers, for example). Still, it was my personal desire to see the Italian ships ASAP, and this does not 100% suit me. But that's it; it's not exactly what I wanted, but I see that it's what WG finds more profitable, si I'll just accept it. -

...Well, maybe because personally I am more eager to see the Italian ships than the French ones? Although I also wish the latter to be in-game soon, don't misunderstand me. I was kind of hoping that maybe we could see two lines of French and Italian ships released at the same time. Alas, this was not to be. -

So, they have done no work on the Italians; implies they've done some work for the French. There it goes; as I feared, the French market is bigger, so WG went towards them. We'll have to consider ourselves very lucky if we see an Italian line by the end of 2017. I perfectly understand the reason for such decisions. But allow me to express my sadness over this. -
