    Mogami main battery upgrade

Agreed. With the armor mechanics on, we will finally learn to appreciate guns that fire more slowly but that penetrate much more.

    TKing with torps

Mmmaybe.... In the end, I'm not sure this feature would be so great... I think we'd better resign ourselves that sometimes we'll sink because of someone mistakenly shooting torps at us. I can live with that. (And I haven't seen that many teamkills either...)

    TKing with torps

...What if there are, say, some six torpedoes sailing straight towards an ally? Clicking on all of them would take too long. Yet clicking on them to disarm all of them seems a tad excessive...
  4. That is not exact... these fast attack crafts were on occasions part of big naval battles, but they didn't operate in conjunction with destroyers, cruisers or battleships... they attacked before, and then got out of the area (for example at Surigao Strait). Besides, they achieved some good success in WWI where aircrafts weren't yet around, but in WWII with radar and aircraft their success was more limited, in the end.

    Georgios Averof Pisa-class armored cruiser

Well, she got torpedoes, after all. ^^

    Italiani!

I'm not sure... other achievements are easily verified, based on damage or kills; this seems a bit vague...

    Italiani!

Don't know about Mimbelli, since his torpedo-boat didn't actually sustain that much of damage... Pietro De Cristofaro actually looks good... As for Giuseppe Cigala Fulgosi... how can we determine it? Medals are supposed to be achieved in game, but how could this occurrence be verified?

    Italiani!

Well, that is the translation... what we called "torpediniere" are referred in English as "torpedo-boats", while everything that feel under the category "motosilurante" (MAS, MS and whatnot) is usually talked about as "MTB" (mirroring the Royal Navy classification). At least, this is what I do... I don't know if it's correct or not...

    Italiani!

Actually, those would be MAS, or motor torpedo boats. But yes, it's way too early.

    Italiani!

Well, in the WoT forums they still there was some hope for a separate tree, but that the deadline won't come closer. End of OT. Other possible examples for medals (but priorities are low, there is plenty of time to evaluate) could be, for destroyers, Carlo Margottini or Pietro De Cristofaro; for cruisers, Umberto Novaro or Luigi Corsi, for battleships, Adone Del Cima. I would really like to put in the list the likes of Francesco Mimbelli or Giuseppe Cigala Fulgosi, but since they were but commanders of torpedo-boats, I'm not sure they can make it...

    Battleships are useless

Absolutely; you're perfectly correct in that matter.
  12. I think that with the armor mechanics people will have to choose between the 155 mm guns (which makes Mogami a light cruiser killer and the terror of DDs) and the 203 mm guns (with which she can face off against CAs and perhaps try its hand against battleships). Not a choice between good or bad, just the choice between two different playstiles.

    Italiani!

Well, there are plenty of another examples to name medals for battleship, cruiser or destroyer gameplay... we could work with that. As for eventual airborne success... rather than Buscaglia, how about Alessandro Guidoni? He was one of the pioneers of torpedo bombing (it's controversial if he was the very first one or not) in the early 1910s. In a brief OT... eventually some Italian tanks will come, I'm sure of it.

15 Inch German WW2 Naval Guns. True?

Well, I also think that Tirpitz and Scheer's firing trials achievement should be taken with a grain of salt, since one thing is to shoot at a predetermined target in optimal conditions, and another to fire at a possibly unknown enemy ship in more than likely worse conditions...

    Battleships are useless

Not that as a whole I'm disagreeing with you, but even though destroyers didn't have that much success against battleships, torpedoes as a whole kind of did... even excluding successes by submarines (which we won't have in the game), airborne torpedoes did quite a job sinking and seriously damaging battleships... As for light cruiser and destroyer damage to battleships... well, if we're talking a light cruiser like the Cleveland, I'm not sure that she shouldn't be able to score some amount of damage on the superstructure of a battleship, given the number of guns and the rate of fire... if we're talking about light cruisers with some eight 152mm guns then I think I agree, to a point, that they shouldn't be able to inflict great damage to a BB.

    Italiani!

It's not the example or the numbers of Italian players, it's the fact that he was a pilot of landborne aircrafts; and we don't have those in the game.
  17. I understood them perfectly; I just wished to be sure that you would follow that rule.
  18. Really interesting. If I may ask, do you think that battleships and battlecruisers should have separate lines?

Seriously, I just wanted to ask about this because I wasn't sure I was understanding it... I didn't want to deflagrate a flame war or anything...

Now i feel guilty for this being all my fault... Shoulda kept my mouth shut, and my questions to myself!

I agree on that one... we have our fair share...

Epic kill with a bitter aftertaste...

Regrettable, but it can happen. It's difficult to judge what to do in each and every situation, but if one does this with no deliberate intention of teamkilling, as long as it doesn't happen too often there should be no problem. Besides, in the release this things will be dearly punished, I think.

    ship of the line

It's all in the epic and heroic gesturing; the public swoons over someone who says an immortal phrase, who fights like a demon for his little ship, and ignores someone who casually marks the beginning of a new era, or who spends his lifetime trying to publicize a revolutionary innovation that will change naval strategy or tactics forever...

    ship of the line

Well, some things may change between a game about the Age of Sails and a game about steel ships...

Right, I glimpsed something like that... Btw, how good are Bismarck's guns?
