    HMS Warspite in wows

Alright, so let's go back to Britannia Rules The Waves, since all the Germans did was cowardly sink merchantmen with their blasted U-boote, and all the Italians did was ran for their port every time they spotted a British ship, yadda yadda yadda. Anyway, if you want confirmation you are welcome to research it for yourself, the statements about the other claims. Or are you afraid that your precious little ship will have to share its trophy that rightfully belongs to her and not to some other foreign ship? And the point was also, why open a new thread when we have others already open and watched? Besides... this is a game. Range is the most tweaked stat in here. I don't expect the Littorio, when it will come, to have its enormous range, and I won't abandon the game because of it, nor will I begin crying all over the forums about it. If you feel otherwise, it's your right, but please stop beating this dead horse. It's pointless.

    HMS Warspite in wows

Most sources say that Warspite hit the Giulio Cesare at a range of approx. 26'000 yd (23.800 meters). The Scharnhorst hit the Glorious at approx. 26,400 yd (24,100 meters). I don't know precisely about it, but I think that only German sources are there to substantiate the claim. The Raimondo Montecuccoli hit the Hebe at approx. the same distance, with both Italian witnesses and British reports that strongly back this claim. Besides, considering that it was a 6-inch cruiser, shooting at the extreme range of its guns, and firing at a much smaller target than a battleship or an aircraft carrier, I believe that this was a very lucky shot indeed, but no less deserving to be recorded and appreciated. You're the one filled with fanboyism, purposefully trying to ignore others' claim just to repeat something that we all know about. Try to be more open minded. At least I'm not opening threads randomly; once I opened one because I hadn't noticed that a similar one was already there, but when I noticed I immediately acknowledged it and requested it to be junked.

Well, perhaps one might react better to something that should be in one of the many open Warspite threads instead of being in a useless new one, if it were written in a clearer manner. Anyone tends to have a negative reaction to a wall of text.

The ban the person above you game remade

Banned because when everyone is super, no one is.

Don't we have enough Warspite threads already, in which this could be discussed? Also, for the last time, Warspite is one of the ships holding the record for the longest recorded hit on a moving warship, not the ship. Sheesh... Sorry: -1 for OP. I feel it's deserved.

[Feedback] Please remove permanent turret destruction?

Read my earlier posts, please. I repeatedly stated that in my opinion the chances of a turret getting permanently knocked out should be lowered significantly; which, multiplied for each turret, would make losing most of the turrets as you say a very rare instance.

But BBs don't have torpedoes, and aren't as good at dodging.

Well, we'd have to see how practical it is to keep pointing your nose at the enemy, when the latter is maneuvering. Perhaps when you have to realign yourself the opponent can land some good shots. I think we'll have to wait and see.

Of course; many DP guns and mounts had issues. Another match-up I'd be curious to see would be Dunkerque vs the modernized Cavour/Duilio; another expected match. Although the former were newly built and the latter modernized BBs, their stats weren't that far off, so that would make for an interesting match, I think.

To be fair, it's more like she had the heaviest armor protection in terms of absolute weight and percentage, but for example her thickest belt armor wasn't as thick as Littorio (327 mm vs 350 mm). The all-forward arrangment I'll have to test and see how it works. I'm a bit skeptical: a bit too limitating for me, but as I said I want to see for myself before passing a judgement. Those DP guns were considered failures: low rate of fire, slow rate of train and elevation (sin for all AA mounts, and a sentence to be pretty much useless), and prone to jammings. Some of them were replaced with 100 mm AA guns. Anyway, I'm curious to see how it's going to play out (considering the balancing factors that will have to be put in) between Richelieu and Littorio; they were pretty much expected to fight it out between themselves, after all.

Should I say I want them too... so I can go hunt them with the Condottieri and the Capitani Romani?

Alright, so it's not so evident. Anyway, I'm afraid I disagree with your notion that by having one of his turrets knocked out one is, I quote, "banned from having fun". If you feel that way, then I can only feel sorry for you; but my notion of fun is different, therefore having one of my turrets knocked out, once in a while, won't forbid me from having fun.
  14. Well, I hope so. That's why I meant by saying that perhaps they made a mistake.
  15. Either they made a mistake, or Mikasa is going to be a cruiser...

Curious. We have a RN one, a KM one, a RM one.... but the MN is ignored. Are we lacking in French players, or do they just stay in their section?

Possibly. Do we have a Marine Nationale thread around here in the forum?

I agree. Which is why I tend to prefer more balanced models. Otherwise there is a certain tendency to limit your optimal tactical choices.

Along with many others, I'd say.

So it happened at the end of the battle? Again, at which Tier were you?

You'd be lucky that they wouldn't have their real-life troubles, as the quadruple turrets they were.

If you say so, I believe you. It sure would be nice.

    Please Nerf Destroyer

Didn't you have allied cruisers or destroyers of your own with you? And moreover, at which Tier did this match happen, more or less?
  24. Historynerd

[Feedback] Please remove permanent turret destruction?

Yeah, I was just messing around. It won't happen in game, I guess.

Theoretically, it should be 25%, as their quad turrets were more like two double turrets joined together. Strasbourg was hit by a 15-inch shell that disabled one half-turret, but the other half remained operational.
