I don't know; WG stated that armoured cruisers wouldn't be in the game, if not for a few exceptions (I think that eventually they'll have to throw in the Georgios Averof for a mixed tree). So, perhaps we'll see a few. But I'm not sure.

Both flew. I don't know how well.

And that flying barrel?

Well, what was really damning even for the finest Italian aircrafts was the costly and time-consuming production... while a Fiat G.55 was as good as the Bf.109G, it took way more to build it in terms of man-hours.

I see you are thankful for me trying to do something to help keep this forum clean and orderly... I am touched.

Please guys. If we point out that a topic is redundant, it's not because we like being forum nazis. We do because this forum is overloaded with discussion, and even to find a discussion opened a few days ago one might as well go search for the Holy Grail. The search feature is not a perfect tool, I admit, but this is another reason to keep this forum as clean as possible, to help everyone.

No; the ANR was supposed to receive some German-made jet aircraft, and some pilot undertook some training, but nothing came for it. Besides, the farther the Italian industry managed to go was the Campini Caproni CC.2, which, although an interesting aircraft, was not a proper jet yet, and could not be turned into a serious military project. So yes, those aircraft are going to be a problem, if we don't want to consider some post-war models...

We already have a discussion open for this. http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/11812-what-rn-ships-would-you-like-to-see/

Well, the reliance on fighter-bombers wasn't also partially because there were lots and lots of obsolescent or obsolete fighter planes (like the G.50 or the Fiat CR.42)? Interesting feature, the one about the 640 AP bomb, though. Are there any references?

To be honest, I don't have the slightest idea...
-
Well, actually I was more bent on whining about how the Italians are seemingly portrayed in this game... But that doesn't matter. Whine mode = off. Has anyone around here tried to play it?
-
It might very well be. And if it does... I repeat, I'm cool with it.
-
Well, it depends. I personally think that, although the French Navy was bigger and potentially "richer" than the Italian Navy, the fact that the latter saw more fighting should make it a higher priority (in the way you said, first one line then another). But if WG decides to go the other way 'round... I'll live with it. No hard feelings.

I beg to differ. http://trucioli.it/2012/11/22/la-portaerei-bonfiglietti-del-1929/

Bl4ckh0g has pointed out other ships that can make it past, I think...
-
I gotta admit, though... It sure looks like something that can fit right in, in an anime-something thingie... But still, then why not use other ridonkolous aircrafts for the other nations too?
-
...I guess Richelieu won't make it past Tier 6, will it?
-
I wonder, one day we might see French carriers too... What aircraft could we see aboard them?

Feeling ripped off £35 premium & warspite

Thank you. It sure answers my questions. (Although, they could sure have spared two or three words about the Italian radar, but...) Back to topic. -
Of course, I didn't accuse you, not in the slightest.

Alright. I'm just curious. -

Do you have any sources that can confirm that WWII radars could also register ocean impacts of the fired shells? I never heard of this, so I want to read about it. -
Yet some visibility effects are present, although in not a very realistic manner. This influences how spotting works; the proposal to remove its mechanism would take away even that. Besides, ships in game don't have radar, all spotting is taken as working optically. May I ask, changing subject, who is the author and what is the reason for the -1 I received? Don't misunderstand me, give me all the -1 you want, but have the decency of explaining why. I do this when I feel necessary to use that, and I see no reason why others shouldn't do that, too. Otherwise it's just a meaningless thing.

I was talking figuratively (and about real life), i.e. meaning how difficult it is to spot and distinguish ships, for many factors.
