    "Award" for best loser

The best players in a losing team can still be the highest exp earners or credit earners. -So long as they've actually had a really good match and earned that spot. I've been in the top 5 for exp on both teams multiples times on the losing side. Whist I can understand it's frustrating losing a match. If you make it so that when you lose you still always benefit, people will stop caring about winning when they know they can just get rewards regardless.

    Quick stupid question time.....

I always advise players to wait until the weekend. Whilst we can't disclose details in advance: If you wait and there isn't an sale, all you've lost is a few days of not playing XYZ ship. If you wait and there is a sale, you benefit. If you don't wait and there is a sale, you lose out. If you don't wait and there isn't a sale. It makes no difference

    The Community

I'm sorry you've had a bad experience when playing the game. I have to point something out however. Grommie, on 24 November 2015 - 08:23 PM, said: Dear Wargaming your community is quite possibly the most impatient, rude, antagonistic set of morons I seen in any online game. This won't get you banned, but when you're coming to the forums and labelling everyone in the community as morons. That's not really fair to the majority of players. By all means say "some players in your community", but please don't make a sweeping judgement like that across all players. Sadly every game (and especially free to play games) have toxic and rude players. Companies are always doing their best to deal with these players but when you can just create a new account for free, the serial offenders are always going to act the same way. If you encounter a player in-game being rude and offensive please use the in-game reporting system. Once a player goes too far they'll quickly lose the ability to chat in-game permanently and will suffer more serious penalties such as a account suspension and even permanent closure.

How do gain experience in a CA on escort duty?

If you have an opportunity to shoot at an enemy ship. Always take it. The longer enemy ships stay alive the more danger they pose to your team mates. Whilst it may seem sporting to leave the killing blow to a team mate, during that "wait" the enemy ship could have killed a team mate with his shots/torpedoes. Basically if something is in range, always be shooting unless you're trying to avoid being spotted.

Leaving Random Battles & Using Other Ship

Once your ship is dead, you can leave the battle and play another ship. Leaving the match once you're dead doesn't affect your credit/exp returns. Leaving the match when you're still alive however, that's not good.

    wtf I thank Wargaming

Screenshots like this aren't normal match making. You know this but there isn't really much else which can be said in response. The Matchmaker system will try to balance teams based on the ships types and tiers it has available to it. It can either try to create matches by removing set parameters or it can hold you in a queue for up to 5 minutes trying to find enough players. In situations like this I can only advise perhaps not playing high tier ships during off peak hours when it's know the server populations are much lower. Whilst everyone would like to play whatever tier they want at whatever time, you're always going to be limited by the amount of players online. The Matchmaking system has no control over that and it's generally creating hundreds (if not thousands) of matches simultaneously. It's not perfect but in times when there is lower player numbers the only alternative is much much greater queue lengths.

    Bug

Hello, If you're experiencing issues when playing the game such as crashes to desktop, please contact our customer support team - https://eu.wargaming.net/support/?utm_source=global-nav&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=wows-portal i'd also recommend attaching a dxdiag log, you can find out how to do that here - https://eu.wargaming.net/support/kb/articles/74
  8. If you want to reply to a thread. Please reply to that thread. We don't need a new topic every time someone wants to share their views on an already active discussion. - Ectar
  9. You've tagged that onto my response, as if to say that outside of work, I should somehow be more active with the community? I'm part of a 4 person team for the English speaking section, and we have about 15 other Wargaming employees who post regularly on the EU forums. EU forums does not equal English speaking players. Regarding working with the community, spending 8 hours a day posting on the forums is not "working with the community". I would be happy to do that but they things like community contributors wouldn't exist, the game would have zero social media presence, your concerns would never be passed on, off line events such as Firstlook in Utrecht, Denmark's Springeren Museum, Sweden's Arsenalen Tank Museum, Tankfest and Gamescom wouldn't happen. I'm really sorry we can't offer you that level of presence on the forums you expect. The forums will always be a place first and foremost for players to discuss the game with each other, not a open conversation with a WG employee in every thread. We'll drop into threads when we can, but we're not going to spam post the forums just for the sake of looking like we have a presence when we're actually adding nothing to the topic. You're free to play whatever game you want. Because I'm playing a specific game atm counts for absolutely nothing. What I do in my free time means nothing to you or anyone else and I really don't have to justify it to anyone nor need to defend it. It's amusing that when we're asked to be more active in topics, we do so and still it can be twisted into something to complain about. It's not like when players report issues with certain ships or tiers I don't have on my personal account, I don't have access to various different test/demo accounts to verify/test that myself, nor have access to a much larger pool of data than an individual player's experience. Now to keep on topic, the reason this got a reply from me was because you were trying to make a point that there is an issue with ranked battles and that I was playing something else because of that. It's like say "Lol Ectar is playing 5 a side football or going to the gym rather than playing ranked battles" You're taking something totally unrelated to try and add volume to your argument. Please leave my free time out of your discussion as that counts for nothing.
  10. Fallout 4 is a new game, I've been waiting to play it for quite some time. I play it in my free time which no one has any right to tell me how to spend it. Lets not get into a silly discussion where trying to use how I spend my free time is justification how anyone else should spend their free time.

    World of Warships - Clans

It worked better during CBT and to a lesser extent OBT. I'm not sure it will carry on in it's current format as a blog is maybe not the best, but we do want to have channel for Developers to share what's coming. The only other direct method is news articles on the portal. There is some cool stuff in the works and I look forward to seeing player reactions to what we have planned.

This game die earlier as WoWp?

In fairness I've been playing Fallout 4 loads myself (It's all I'm playing atm), which was a hugely hyped game with a loyal fanbase. Same with Battlefront (which looks amazing) so i'm not surprized they would have an impact on current server numbers. As for Planetside 2, I was hooked on that 3 years ago and remember going down to Tiger Day at Bovington for an event and playing Planetside 2 on my laptop for most of the night with my American friends. People come in and out of games all the time, Planetside 2's numbers will be lower than they were 2 years ago, but you still have more people playing that game that are playing whatever boxed game they bought 3 years ago (as examples: Far Cry 3, Halo 4, Assassins Creed III, XCOM) Sure some of those games have new versions, but even with those newer versions they player falloff rate after a year is pretty massive. (And the players still have to pay up front again for the newer version/edition).

    World of Warships - Clans

Well that really depends on your definition of "priority". It wasn't a priority to launch the game with Clans fully implemented as Clan activity is generally end game/top of the tier content and you need to have time for players to get to end tier first. The last time I asked specifically about Clan emblems was months ago. I'd image the solution has been decided and I'll double check with karsun since Tuccy is on vacation atm. Adding Clan support a the start of the game without fully thinking through what there is for Clans to do: That is implementing something quickly without proper testing.
  15. PvE against bots isn't intended to be a substitute for playing PvP against other players. It's a training mode basically to help players learn new ships. World of Warships is a progression based game. You need to put time into the game to advance up the tech trees. As other players have suggested try playing more Random Battles instead of Co-op Battles and you'll see that the XP gains are very very different. Reading all the latest comments and your replies. I think this thread has ran it's course. Your feedback on the exp for Co-op battles is noted. It's intentional however as it's not there as a direct alternative to Random Battles. World of Warships will always at it's core be a player verses player game. /thread closed
  16. Community -Producer - Developer = There is only 1 step in the chain. It's there to prevent up to 15 Community Managers and something like 30 Community Coordinators world wide from messaging the Developers daily. A lot of that discussion and time would be wasted for multiple minor things that don't really need the attention of the Development team. I can see where you're coming from but bear in mind every time there is a counter point about bundles and how much money "might" be made from different prices. That is guess work from the other side when you have no idea of the sales figures or amounts of bundles sold. Nor do you know the projected target in the first place. Monetization in a free to play game is never something which is going to be popular for certain elements of the playerbase, especially when the majority of the playerbase will never spend a single penny on the game. Whilst lowering the price of a bundle means it's more accessible for other players, it's also means many players who would pay the higher price, will now pay the lower price. It's not as black and white as players like to think it is and nether you or I can really debate or know which percentage of those players would do what. That's for our monetization guys to decide based on estimates of the past sales, their projections of the future sales, and the targets they have to work on. Micro transactions and monetization of games is now quite a complex medium and when you look at it as a player looking to spend money with a limited budget, your view is always going to be very different from the company side of things. I'll continue to pass on the feedback and the sentiment of the players on the forums regarding those bundles. But you have to also appreciate that many other forum users have bought these bundles and don't have any issues with the prices. They won't speak up as they see the reactions of the more vocal and negative elements of the playerbase who object to these things. - The loudest voice in the room isn't always the right one, nor is it the only one. Whilst I can appreciate the desire to want to move servers, we run a free to play game and there is no restrictions on you creating an account on another server. If you truly feel the grass is always greener there is nothing stopping you playing on that other server with a different account. Server transfers are not an option for players as the databases are totally separate. You'll only generally have server transfer options in games where that option was built in from the ground up (or alternatively a game where everyone plays on the same server clusters). Sadly Wargaming.net don't have that infrastructure in place. Even with the roaming system that was tested in World of Tanks, all that did was let you play on another server. It didn't give you the in-game benefits/specials/discounts on that server. It may feel like a "fair" system but it's not an option, so it's not something that can be offered to players. Whilst the EU region may not be the same as the NA region for offers. The NA region isn't the same as the RU region or the Asia region and vice versa. It's not really a question about balance, it's about seeing what region has what is deemed to be the best thing that weekend and wanting it too. You'll never see someone from EU says "Hey, why isn't NA getting that RU thing?" or when the EU has something NA doesn't have, no one from EU says "Hey, this is unfair on NA, things should be equal and they should get this too". Bear in mind NA still hasn't had the Mikasa or Błyskawica available to purchase yet. Now for the people threatening to "play the competitor" We at Wargaming don't expect you to play nothing but World of Warships. Sure we'd like you to, but we accept that in this day and age people play more than 1 game during a week/month/day. You're free to do so, in fact I'd encourage you to spread your wings and experience other games. Sure there is going to be things different that you love, but there is also going to be things different you won't like. As a player you have the freedom of choice, you can decide to purchase/play something or you can chose not to. At the end of the day all I can ask you is to stay calm, take some time out and relax. You only have to look at some people's posting history to see that all the ever write is complaints or negativity no matter what the topic so you have to learn to take their comments with a pinch of salt. I'm not saying everything is perfect however I do guarantee that the voice of the players on the forums is heard. It won't always affect change in the game but the voice does have a say.
  17. You are told that however. When we pass on stuff where you do think it goes to? We don't have a direct line to the developers. Our feedback goes to our Producers who then collect data at a global level and speak to the Developers. You're told on various different occasions when we've passed on that feedback. You still seem to expect that when we say your feedback has been passed on, what we're saying is "That thing you asked for, it's going to happen". That's a totally unrealistic expectation. When you're saying "despite opposition from the customers" - If that was the case and everyone felt the same as you do, no one would be buying the bundles. By all means say "Other forums users and I" but you can't just generalize all World of Warships players as feeling the same as you. I fully understand the issues that some players have on the bundle prices. I also fully understand that there are multiple players who wouldn't buy the bundle no matter the price, it's just their thing they like to talk about and stir things up with. Promise? Promise was never a word used. You're taking a statement, making it seem like something else and twisting things to suit your agenda. EU NA Asia and RU servers all talk to each other daily within community. Community however is not the team responsible for coding the product, or monetizing the product. We're the go between for players and company. We're the information channels, the mediators, the organizers, the event hosts, and sometimes we're the riot shields and punchbags. When it comes to the different regional servers, you will never have things uniform across all 4 servers. That is not an EU issue, that is simply different offices having different structures, goals and objectives. Wargaming as a company has different regional offices who all have a core focus on their audience in that region. You're free to disagree with that structure and I'm sorry if it disappoints you, however that's not something that's going to change nor is it something the Community Team can impact. We can only play with the hand we are dealt. I am more than happy to talk to players all day long about stuff. But please for the love of god if you're going to start calling us out for stuff in the past, quote it and show where it was said. I'm then more than happy to investigate why things are not what they are supposed to be, or to explain why things have since changed. I'm not more than happy to deal with "I think they said" type posts where something is said just to bait in other players and get everyone worked up over wrong information.

    World of Warships - Clans

To take World of Tanks as a direct example. Being in a clan gives you a tag behind your name in battle and adds a symbol on your vehicle. You also then have a clan chat channel you can use in-game to talk to your clan mates. "Clan Wars" is something separate from normal battles and you can only participate with other clan players. How "clan" activities will work in World of Warships is still in development. Even things like the logo on the ship (should it be on the hull, should it be a flag? etc etc) are still being discussed.
  19. And from all that the only answer I can give you is what's already been said: We're looking at the credit flow for high tiers. I'm not saying everything is perfect, however there is no immediate short term changes to high tier credit flow. It is something that we've passed on as a concern. I spoke to karsun specifically about it this morning and the developers and publishers are in discussion about the topic. If we have anything more to share about the topic, we'll do so when the information is available.
  20. What you're asking for you'll only see when the premium shop offers become available. We don't share information in advance of what will be available or how much for, so it's not something we could say on the forums. You're basically saying "I won't be happy till you tell me I can buy X ship on it's own and not in a bundle" and that's not something I can tell you. The feedback has been passed on and the answer back is that ships may be available in the future on their own without a bundle. I can't be any more specific about that because that's all the information I've been given to share.

    World of Warships - Clans

Yes it's a serious reply. There is no clan section yet because there is no clan function in World of Warships. the danger of adding a new section is that suddenly everyone thinks that clans will feature in the next update. It would have a similar result if we suddenly added a new section to discuss Italian or French ships. I fully appreciate the reasons for wanting to talk about those topics, but at the moment they're unsupported content within the game. Generally moving forum threads and merging threads is a total mess. Telling me I'm not qualifed for the job and adding (no hard feelings) is a bit redundant there dude. I don't have sole responsibility for the structure of the World of Warships forums. There is 6 other community managers involved, my boss and the forum admins all involved in any discussions like that. But hey, why ask when it's easier for me to just keep taking hits for everything right? No idea, the World of Tanks forums will be changed within a few weeks I think. Then maybe the Warships one. Tanks is still being discussed right now regarding what sections stay, if any new sections are needed etc. There is a lot of metrics that need to be considered like visitor frequency, how often new topics are created, what actually ends up in those sections etc etc.
  22. I've updated the FAQ with the latest info. Thanks for the heads up, no idea why that was missed. I didn't know the answer and I was going to be wrong no matter what I said. Were you honestly expecting me to say zero? If not then why ask the question? Again the interaction with you guys is always something I like doing, but when you're throwing out trap discussions like this to them come back even more negative. I really can't understand just want kind of interaction/reply you're looking for in the first place.
  23. You asked a question, I gave a serious reply as an optimist for the game I support. If you're not expecting an answer or going to reply like that when it's not one to your liking, I can't really do much to help you. What were you honestly expecting me to say? 1? 2? 10? no one?
  24. 6? In theory it seems like a good idea, but then everyone has different issues and some are more urgent than others and some are easier to fix than others. The bundles one for example is already misleading because in your example you're making out it's a major issue. It's an issue for some forum regulars yes, but it not something that's a game breaking issue that would require constant updating of the community till it's fixed. In that example there is really no other news to tell players than "Your feedback has been noted and passed on". There are no updates to give about that as any changes you'll see when they come in the store. - Again the forums are not the only source of feedback used when making future decisions that impact the game. For common topics/questions there is already a pinned thread at the top of the General Discussion section - http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/22738-frequently-asked-questions-please-read-this-before-making-a-new-topic/
