It's perfectly possible that if paying for spent ammo costs after a battle was applicable, torpedoes could have a higher cost attached to them. So spamming torpedoes without landing hits could result in you finishing matches with negative credits. Think of it like World of Tanks where at tier 8, shells start costing 1000 credits (people usually find this out the hard way with the Tiger II's top gun). It pays to make your shot count. Remember the credits gained after a battle right now is at an inflated rate. What you get for a win now won't be what you get in OBT/launch.

I'd love to know where you're getting this information from. When players start pulling stuff like this out of thin air it shows how the conversation is going. Now to the original post: The reason why the Royal Navy isn't the 3rd nation to be added to the game has been explained. It's not going to change. Watching some of you insult other players for a different region and then trying to act like you're somehow a better person is frankly pretty sad to see and for that this thread is going to be locked. The Royal Navy will come in good time and when we're ready to share more information about it we will. There is utterly nothing to say that certain nations, ships or ship categories must feature in the game or when they must feature. The only thing that decides what is added to the game is our Developers. Really guys, I'm pretty disappointed with the comments some of you have made here. Especially the "Their opinion doesn't matter but my does" people.

Because Wargaming.net is a Belorussian company, with it's primary audience and playerbase who are Russian players. It's the total opposite of any other games company most western players are used to and the main target audience and playerbase isn't western English speaking players. The core playerbase is the total opposite of what you're used to from other western based developers like say Riot or Blizzard.

Tajj7, I recommend you stop before you talk yourself into trouble. And in the same post you mock and insult Russian players. The very "red star loving" players you're taking cheap digs at make up over 70% of all existing Wargaming.net players and are the very reason our games are so well known and played so much. This thread is getting quickly close to being locked as all you're starting to do is drum up petty national rivalry and troll baiting. When your only way of getting your point across is to mock people who have a different point of view, it shows you don't really have much to say. I'll say this only once guys. Drop with the name calling and childish digs about other nations. If I see any more digs about players from different nations and their intelligence or anything like that, people will start getting forum vacations.

I suggest you edit your post them, because you said "Yes Ectar is stupid and brainwashed nationalism" when I guess you mean "Yes Ectar it's stupid and brainwashed nationalism". It's neither of the 2. It's a business decision to maximize potential profit from an already established playerbase. As I said earlier making decisions like this in game development isn't something that 1 guy just decides to change on a whim because what he personally wants to see. Warships is being developed with a global audience in mind, however it's always going to stay true to it's existing Wargaming.net account holders. If Wargaming.net was a developer based in NA, perhaps the tech trees would be different but then the market target would also likely be very different. (As an NA developer isn't likely to publish a game aiming for it's main playerbase to be Russian....).

I mentioned Czech ships to show that no matter what people say, there is always someone who wants different things. Here's the thing OVanBruce, I'm Scottish, not Russian. I can assure you no one in our office is more looking forward to British ships than me. I can also assure you that I keep hassling Tuccy and Ev1n pretty much daily regarding info about British ships. I've explained to you why due to business and promotion reasons something is happening to our game. It's not a decision being made based on what some's heart desires. If you don't like that fair enough. Throwing out insults directed at me just because you see something differently however is a sure fire way to lose my attention and is an utterly ridiculous way to get your point across however.

#Shiphappens We always have an idea of when patches are coming. We don't share that information with players until everything is 100% signed off and ready to go. Come on dude, you should know this by now. If we could announce things like patch dates in advance we would. Due to so many variables involved that's not possible. When they're ready. No specifics as the the "when" for the same reasons mentioned about. Relax, it's CBT. Please don't hassle us for new content as things take time.

Nothing you buy in CBT with tokens or credits carries into OBT. Nothing you unlock with exp in CBT carries into OBT. At the end of CBT/Start of OBT there is a wipe/reset and all you have on your account is the starting ships and any pre-order packages you purchased. If your pre order package gave you a ship, a port slot, dubloons and premium time, then the premium time starts at OBT launch. Basically nothing you do in-game CBT has any impact on OBT. Think of OBT as a soft launch. From that moment on everyone can access the game.

It actually indicates more that people don't use the search button or even just look at the first 2 pages of the forum because they'd find their answer without making a new topic every week. Take the hint already? To throw terms like "stupid nationalism" about whilst demanding that a different in-game nation should take priority is a pretty redundant and pointless argument. "Don't listen to those people and their nationalist views, listen to me and my nationalist views instead! My country is more important than their country"..... You're behaving exactly as the thing you're complaining about. Wargaming.net is a company that has over 70% of it's playerbase from Russia. It's got nothing to do with "stupid nationalism" and has everything to do with tapping into your largest and already established loyal playerbase. At no point has Wargaming ever said the Royal Navy wouldn't be in-game. At no point did Wargaming say they would be a starting nation. The arguements of "Oh but the community wants it" are unfounded. As a player already pointed out the RU players want RU ships, the NA players want NA ships and the EU players want British Ships, French Ships, German Ships, Italian Ships, Dutch Ships, Polish ships, Swedish Ships, Finnish ships (I've even seen a request for Czech Ships and Hungarian Ships..) - Don't underestimate the other EU countries out there. Just because someone speaks English, it doesn't mean they automatically want the Royal Navy as the third nation or want it right now. Content is added to the game sequentially. That means at some point there has to be an order and a list. Not everything can come at once and no matter how/when we add new branches or nations, some players are always going to say they'd rather have something else. The ordering of our next planned nations has been discussed many times and the reasoning behind it has been discussed many times. I'm afraid that's not going to change. If your sole reason for playing is Royal Navy ships, then I'm afraid you're going to have a little while to wait until at least the Warspite tides you over. Wargaming are under no obligation to add the Royal Navy asap. You have to remember that not every player around the world feels the same way and we don't take development decisions like this lightly.

Closed Beta Keys distribution, allocation and etiquette
Ectar_ replied to Ectar_'s topic in General Discussion
CBT access is something added to the existing package at no extra cost. We're not going to split down the "Beta Tester" forum rank into different categories depending how you got your access. - In-game unless someone is in a preorder ship you have no way to know how anyone in your team got there and it doesn't make any difference. You're a beta tester, the guy beside you is a beta tester. That's it. -
Everyone who purchased a previous pre order package has been flagged for CBT access now. Go directly to worldofwarships.eu and log in to the portal. You will see the Member Page menu in the top right corner or the download link in the lower middle of the page. Good luck out there on the battlefi.. Battleoceans? Battleseas?..... Good luck out there Captains!

What we know about Ships: Updated 05/04/2017
Ectar_ replied to mr3awsome's topic in General Discussion
Correct, the fate of the Bismark and other German ships is still being decided. Warspite is still planned to be a premium. Yes, however I can't say. CBT players won't have too long to wait till they have some new stuff to play. -
Visible personal customizations (for example a custom flag at the top of the spar)
Ectar_ replied to Conspiracy_Keanu's topic in General Discussion
There is plans for some customizations/personalization yes. More details will come soon about that. -
It feels very much like a Destroyer, very manoeuvrable. I make a mistake in the video thinking it selects the rear torpedo bank first. It doesn't. You just need to get used to not having a front arc for torpedoes and that they shoot from the rear third of the ship. As it stands right now I'd totally recommend it in it's current state. It's a lot of fun!

We plan to add a review screen similar to World of Tanks. Sadly no dates available I can quote to say when.
