As the forum is shared with the NA staff and Xbox is from our Chicago team, there is normally more than enough English speaking interaction there. Most of the time it's hard to find topics that aren't already replied to, however I do still keep an eye on them.

What would you like in the WG store

The pre order tanks for WoT were not supposed to be sold again in EU after the launch of the game. About 4 years ago the were for sale for I think 1 day and it caused a massive issue with players who bought them on the basis they were exclusive and wouldn't be sold again. Due to that issue they remain unavailable for any promotion or event in the EU region. They are only available in the RU region because there never was a preorder in RU region. The game launched there without those vehicles ever being available in advance. When World of Warplanes was preparing for launch, to avoid a similar issue we advised players the pre-order content would be exclusive for at least a year. Players were advised this in advance so they could choose to have something exclusive for at least a year, or wait. It turned out we didn't make the planes available again until about a year and a half later. For World of Warships the same one year exclusivity was communicated many times to players before the deadline expired. Players who came to the game later don't have the option because it was specifically a limited time offer and that limited time has passed. If you really really desire the Sims, Yubari or Gremyashchy, they'll be available again sometime after June 23rd 2016. Under no circumstances will they be available to players prior to that date. Sure, it was covered in at least 4 different articles and there is numerous forum posts from staff members clarifying this to players. Regarding the news article posts: http://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/common/open-beta-announcement/ Pre-order ships Yubari, Gremyashchy and Sims are being removed from the Premium shop on June 24 at 23:59 CEST. They will not be available for purchase after this date. http://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/common/premium-spotlight-yubari/ This ship is currently available in the pre-order shop as part of the “Sky Sweeper” package and will be available until the end of the Closed Beta phase. Don’t snooze as it will remain exclusive for one year after the sale ends. http://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/common/premium-spotlight-gremyashchy/ This ship is currently available in the pre-order shop as part of the “Hit and Run” package and will be available until the end of the Closed Beta phase. Don’t snooze as it will remain exclusive for one year after the sale ends. http://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/common/premium-spotlight-sims/ This ship is currently available in the pre-order shop as part of the “Universal Sailor” package and will be available here until the end of the Closed Beta phase. Don’t snooze as it will remain exclusive for one year after the sale ends. If we only sold 15 packages, then neither would be sold again As I said we are looking at offering different packages, at the moment we're limited to what is available and we've asked our Productions and Development teams for more options.

    One more Eu server:)

It's perfectly reasonable that an additional server could be added in the future, however right now it's not required. For reference World of Tanks has an average concurrency of about 160,000 each night and has 2 servers. World of Warships has an average concurrency of about 26,000 currently.

What would you like in the WG store

They won't be available until at least 1 year after the OBT launch date when they were removed from the shop. Players were advised this multiple times and we won't change stance on that. There is some good suggestions about other packages and that's been passed on, we're looking to add some more new content in the future and ships like the Warspite and Tirpitz when on sale at a later date, may be offered for just the ship price alone. With World of Tanks also we're seeing a request for vehicle only packages along side vehicle packages with additional content (whilst I appreciate many players feel it's over priced, many other players enjoy the additional content). It's never easy to strike a balance and with Tanks at least we'll be offering 2 packages soon. One will have just a tank and the other will have a tanks and additional content. We'll then be able to see the results afterwards regarding which option was more favourable which may affect future offers. We're always keen to give players more options, we're just sadly limited sometimes regarding what's available. In short, forum feedback is only part of the feedback. When 10 people say they're not buying it as it's too expensive (and 5 of those people regularly post in premium store threads to complain about pricing when they have no intentions of purchasing the content even if it was lower price) and then hundreds or thousands of players are buying the package. The forum feedback isn't exactly representative in that situation. Again I'm not saying it's ignored, it's just not always going to be the main driving feedback.
  9. In our next update, there should be an option to toggle the voice commands on and off.
  10. I'm going to reply to some of the posts here, but not all. Because for some of it, unless I'm doing specifically what someone is demanding, any answer given will not be considered good enough. Now for the first quote: I'm going to ask you for a link to this post please, because the context and the thread it was posted in is fairly relevant for everyone to know what I would say something like that and also for everyone to read what my actual exact wording was. It sounds like something I may have posted on the World of Tanks forums regarding premium vehicles in early September. Saying "Ectar said" or Ectar stated" without a link to when I said it, that kinda gives you free reign to attribute anything to you want to me. Sadly this has been a recent thing on the Warships forums where players have been claiming I said one thing, when In reality I said something opposite, or my quote was taken totally out of context form the original source. Now, regarding my personal presence on the forums this month I'll let you guys in on what I've been working on recently but I doubt it will make a difference. - Today I'm just back from a press event in the UK for World of Warships where 7 Community Contributors were also invited (2 French, 3 German, 1 English and 1 Polish), this is the first time we've brought players along to something like this. A week today I travel to Utrecht in the Netherlands to attend Firstlook 2015 where I will also be involved with showcasing World of Warships with our MGT-20 Truck. Those events don't organise themselves and it takes a considerable amount of time to plan and prepare for them, during the organisation and attendance of these events, it means other tasks become lower priority. Note I say lower priority and not "forgotten". When you're going to call out my forum activity, at least link to my content. Please remember however that you're looking at my content only on World of Warships when I also post on World of Tanks PC forums, along with our other products. Unlike the structure of the NA team, the EU teams cover all products. We don't just specialize in a single game. If all I was concerned about, or all that mattered was how active I appeared to be in the ShipComrade red tracker or the WG post section at the side of the forums, I'd post random nonsense in the off topic section or drop into regular discussion threads to say things like "That's awesome" "lol haha" or any other filler just to have a presence. In that situation I look active but the actual value I'm adding to the forums is negligible and I'm not really any different to a regular player posting on the forums. I post where I feel I can add value to the thread, answer something that hasn't been answered, or to pass on information which hasn't yet been announced. In Community quantity as a sole measure is something you can never base someone's capabilities on, unless it's a role where it's relevant as a core requirement. (Such as calls answered per hour in a call centre, or customers served per hour in a fast food chain). Sometimes reading through a thread and writing an appropriate answer is a considerable time sink. I'm sorry we made this error. This has been highlighted to our content team editor for them to correct the article. No one from the EN Community Team has posted anything yesterday because 1 was at an event in the UK and 3 are travelling to 2 different events this weekend. This means yesterday they were on what is effectively one of their weekend days as they will be working/travelling on Friday/Sat/Sun/Monday (depending on the event) when it would be their normal weekend. There is normally never any need to explain that shifts need adjusted when you travel for event, (and I'd like to hope you guys can see there is an obvious need to alter shifts when attending events) but I feel the need to be open with you guys to try and explain how sometimes stuff just overlaps. There is no avoiding it, and there is no sinister reason behind why/how it happened. I'm surprised at the "virtually absent for months" and you singling me out when I've been the most active member of the EU team having at least double the amount of posts of anyone else in EU. It was only 2 weeks ago we were talking in this thread and had a fairly detailed conversation. That's a bit of a bait there sir and I'm not going to take it. Also_Robots and myself don't have the same role. I'm an Associate Community Manager. My role is almost identical to the other EU Community Managers do, but rather than manage a team of language specific Community Coordinators, I'm involved in a lot more project work behind the scenes. (Recently it's been supporting and coordinating our contributors at live events). Also_Robots is a World of Warships Community Manager for the NA region. He is dedicated to a single product. Whilst our roles seem similar, and there is some cross over, what we do daily/weekly/monthly is pretty different. Now a final other reason for my less than expected presence, is in all fairness I'm not the only guy who is here to respond to everyone. I simply can't do that here and on World of Tanks where I'm even more well know. Normally Community Coordinators are expected to post more than Community Managers and Mr_Conway and Ph3lan will be starting to increase their presence over time. To give them the opportunity to do that I need to step back a bit. At the same time we are currently recruiting for a third Community Coordinator to join Ph3lan and Mr_Conway. I've been posting on the forums for over 3 years now so I'm naturally faster at seeing topics to reply to and making those replies. The new guys need to have some space to reply to stuff without me being there already. In short - there is always stuff going on behind the scenes which we're doing for the community, we're not choosing to ignore the players. For me personally, I'm only one guy and I have a broad load of work to cover. Whilst I know there is people who feel I should be doing more, there is plenty of other players who know how active I really am and how much I've already done for you guys. For every topic that comes up like this I get a good few PM's saying "keep up the good work" a few forum posts saying "you're not doing enough" and then some posts saying things like I should be fired or I'm a PR nightmare. Which voice of the community is the right one there? You can't please everyone all of the time and even if you could, someone would be unhappy about that.

  13. Research for ships actually takes much longer than for tanks. For most tanks there many surviving examples which can be found in museums world wide or in the hands of private collectors. Sometimes there is issues in getting access to the vehicles in order to allow measurements, however when it's granted a team of 2-3 people with the right equipment can get you the majority of measurements you need in a day or two - Doing that for more modern tanks however is a bit of a nightmare as many of them are not accessible by the public, are on active service, or have technology which is still considered as state/national secrets. When it comes to doing the same measuring for ships.... Many of them were produced in very limited numbers (or were the only one of their class) and the majority of them are either at the bottom of an ocean somewhere or have been cut up for scrap. Getting accurate details about these ships sometimes requires a huge amount of research as you try to source accurate information which isn't done by just using google search or wikipedia. - The external visual model could likely be knocked together fairly quick (I admit myself I'm not 3d modeller) but then making sure the collision models (internal areas) and armour values etc are all relevant and working correctly, takes much longer.

    Question About Upcoming Tech Trees

Well, anyone one of us can check I guess. I wasn't sure which is why I said "I think". Giving out gold for missions is something that is very rare and not something to be expected.

    Question About Upcoming Tech Trees

The WoT mission we just did was I think the 2nd time we've ever done a mission for gold. For the mission players have to complete it, not just attempt it. We're not going down the route where players win prizes/premium content just for turning up.

    Question About Upcoming Tech Trees

http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/forum/424-regional-contests-events/ We have 2 contests running atm with dubloons as prizes and will likely continue to have contests running once a week with Dubloons as prizes.
  18. Your Ranger is tier VII your Murmansk is tier V, your Ranger on average should be doing considerably more damage than a Murmansk in each game. Without screenshots of the results of those matches you could have just been losing in the Murmansk with low damage and winning in the Ranger with high damage. In your statement there is also no indication on how many battles you've played in each ship today either.
  19. To answer your question, the reason why a player would purchase a premium tank or premium warship are detailed here: http://worldoftanks.eu/en/content/guide/payments_instruction/what-are-benefits-game-gold-within-world-tanks/ Premium tanks are special tanks which are not included in any of the Tank Trees and can only be purchased for in-game Gold. These vehicles cannot be modified and they do not have heavy guns or impenetrable armour but they are a good way to make profit. With good tactics, they can help you earn large amounts of credits and experience, the latter of which then can be converted into free experience with the help of Gold. We also have additional information on our Wiki regarding the functionality of Premium tanks and Premium warships. Not giving players the answer they want, doesn't mean we're not answering questions. With regards to converting excess exp from elite vehicles into free exp, that has always cost players premium currency (Gold and now with Warships Dubloons). The fact that gold from Warplanes/Tanks can't be used currently to convert Warships exp is an understandable issue and frustration, however we can't give the player a different answer than the one he already knows - Currently it's not possible. As soon as we have more info about merged economy's (free exp and gold) we'll let players know instantly because it's extremely important to have that information rolled out to players. Being silent doesn't always mean we don't care. Sometimes it's because the answer is still the same and when we tell players it's still the same, the reply back is "we don't care, only tell us when you have new info" - In that situation we're damned if we do and we're damned if we don't.

German cruseırs and Russıan Destroyers Come !

That's something which will be revealed in-time when you see the tech tree. As I understand all nations start with a tier 1 cruisers before it splits into the individual branches.
  21. Ectar_

German cruseırs and Russıan Destroyers Come !

As it's 2 new nations coming, yes you'll get 2 new tier 1 ships which will come with port slots. Each time a new nation is added to the game you can generally expect a new port slot to come with a new tier 1 for that nation.
