Maya has the additional complication that it is based on the post-AA refit, so it would need to be remodelled to remove turret number 3, add AA ... and definitely rebalance her. So no, I wouldn't expect Miss Carnival Da Yo to make it in.
-
It's mostly the OCD "Must collect them all" who complain... because it WAS a lot of work/playing to get it all.
-
Probably, but it could also be a slightly modified ship. Prinz Eugen's stats aren't identical to the Hipper (just very close), ARP Takao could be different because it'd be exactly the same as what the tech tree Takao will/would be. We won't know until it drops.

Belfast is borderline OP atm if the player is actually minding what the ship can do. Torpedos on top? Now that isn't just borderline, it's flat out overpowered without a doubt or recourse.

Teamkills count towards Kraken Unleashed?!

5 - 1 = 4. Is math really that hard? First kill in your scenario would actually show up as 0.... 1-1=0. -
I had a Tirpitz match yesterday where a pair of Belfasts decided to smoke up and hammer me. Between them and a battleship scoring a citadel thanks to being forced to break off to evade the Belfasts I was down from full health to maybe ~25% at most. OUCH. Then I healed up a bit, reentered combat and sunk them both with citadel hits. Belfasts are strong but squishy. Don't engage them in their own terms and you'll be OK.

Economy in 0.5.12 For CV's [ 238k damage And -80k Credit ]
ScratxNeko replied to AegeanPirate_'s topic in General Discussion
You think its fake? Well lmao. Your brain must be fake too. Every cv players are know, CV's economy systems are broken. you dont get the point like others. I dont want to farm credit. Even i do 238k damage and my ship isnt damaged, i got -80k credit. Posting detailed report now. Two things I notice here... the first is that for all of that impressive damage, most of it was dealt to lower tier battleships. The second is that you shot down very few planes. IIRC Wargaming also calibrated CV earnings so that shooting down planes is better rewarded. Which means raw damage dealing got a bit of a further nerf on top. So, the reason I would say you earned very little is that not only were you bullying around lower tier ships but you were also not shooting down the enemy carrier's planes. -
That skill on a DD is useful. On a BB?... waste of 4 skill points.

I just farm the silty tears of haxxor-calling noobs these days... But... honestly? Until you get fanmail, you don't get the prize cookie. ( Fanmail : Sending salt through in-game messaging from the Port to the one you perceive to be worthy of receiving such )

Correction : German tier 7 battleships have torpedos, but pay for them through the nose on primary guns. German tier 8 premium battleship also has torpedos, but is not really overall better than the regular tier counterpart. (those secondaries on the Bismarck...) German BBs also generally have an armor layout that makes them much tankier than others at the same tier, but generally pay for it in gunnery performance. Which would be more of a problem if the average player understood game mechanics and didn't give their non-germanic non-turtleback non-german steel battleship broadsides to other battleships so often...... the only ones who can get away with doing that are the german BBs because they're so hard to citadel to begin with... <_<

[edited] Seriously. That match happened 4 days ago and I logged on for a bit of fun aaaaand... I laugh out loud as I read that and recall the match. Yeah... Land of Fire... they took and held B-cap, spread torps widely (and visibly) ... and then got wtfpwned by me in Tirpitz. Had an almost successful torpedobeat moment against full torpedo spread, too, because... oh, hey, fubuki giving me broadside at 5km, surely there are no torpedos in the water, right? I can't see them yet, surely there's nothing in there. Has this happened to you, too? Getting salty players sending nastygrams after you log off for the day? Feel free to talk about it and share the lulz. (I'm not sharing replay publicly because that would be name and shame, but if anyone wants it bad enough to ask nicely in PM I might just be a kind soul...)

Japanese cruisers have decent armor belts. Good enough to bounce battleship fire with angling. I don't know why Atago's particularly known for get fragility, though? She's the same as every other IJN CA in that regard, only with heal packs that let you bounce back from getting hammered a tier early than cruisers normally get them...

What is better armor? 400mm or 4x100mm?
ScratxNeko replied to fnord_disc's topic in General Discussion
That's not how it works, though. Penetrating armor is more of a factor of local resistance at the impact point. A thicker plate is MUCH more resistant to penetration than two plates, air-gapped, that together match the same thickness. -
I've detpnated a Yamato with a long range 15" AP shell a few months back, it was amusing. And in the same week I torpedo detonated a Montana. Yeah, BBs go up in flames too when you hit them in the magazine area. It's just harder to dish out enough damage to the magazine for that to possibly happen, not to mention how much bigger a battleship is, so that's why they happen so infrequently.

And it annoys me that people think people who can aim have to be using aimbot/aimassists. Seriously, between the amount of RNG this game has and the shell flight time? You pretty much have to guess both where he's going and where he INTENDS to go next... An aim assist theoretically helps you with the former but it does nothing for the latter. In fact, it most likely sabotages you learning proper gunnery. Hackusations are almost always a self-justification attempt to get over the fact you got sunk/outplayed with no basis in fact. At least when I get hackused I publicly savor their salty tears for the lulz. Shame them enough and maybe they'll stop. Or not, but at least I'll have a laugh out of it.

Screw camping behind bushes.

Could someone explain this to me? Hint : Look at ship tiers. And divisions, or utter lack thereof. Atago and Konigsberg in the same match? What.
-
Yeah, I've just looked at the replay. Nothing to see here, move along. <_<;

There may be economy changes incoming in the next patch. In the meantime, you have no option but to get good and wreck things for lots of credits and XP to try to make up for the repair bills. Or fund high tier play by dipping into tier 5-7.

Assuming Miss Tsundere Cruiser's the October mission? I'd like that. But I'm not holding my breath.

Nah, you'll get to start the turn faster but it won't do anything about inertia. Turning circles aren't changed, either, I believe.

I've recently torped a ship with torpedo bombers on the bow, it had under 60 hitpoints left and it survived. ... for about a second. Flooding got it. Yep, it still happens, it's a game mechanic, get used to it. I think AP overpens ignore this, though, so overpens through depleted sections still deal hp damage. If anybody could confirm or disprove this, though, it'd be nice.
