Tirpitz was about 50% markup with the bundled stuff. Warspite is a 150% markup. Yes, I call the Warspite pack exploitative. Bundled extras aren't supposed to cost more than the item that it is named after.

PC Gamer: WoWs is 'expensive and exploitative'
ScratxNeko replied to _EasyTiger's topic in General Discussion
*eyes Warspite bundle* Yeah, can't disagree with the Exploitative part, based on that bundle... -
Yeah, even the Tirpitz didn't get inflated anywhere near that badly. I'm just laughing at this point. Not that I even wanted the Warspite, mind. I have 12 14in guns in a Fuso, that'll do just fine...

UI now reflects ship upgrades and captain skills on the stats it displays, that's all there is to it. At least one patch ago, already.
-
Well, if your aim sucks so bad and you set your bar so low that you truly do believe 60% of the other players are using an aim assistance mod, you've already set yourself up for utter failure. Your problem is in your head. Stop blaming the others instead of reflecting on what you've done in the match. And no, the vast majority of players use no mods whatsoever, let alone aim assist mods.

Tell me I'm wrong - Hatsuharu is not an upgrade from the Mutsuki
ScratxNeko replied to Imprez's topic in General Discussion
Worse than the Mutsuki?... I dread going anywhere near it now. -
Free exp for skip Colorado or Nagato?

Citadel may be virtually impenetrable, but the armor belt is far from it. Regular damage it to death. Competent Tirpitz drivers might make this troublesome, though, by doing proper armor angling. -
That skill doesn't reduce that 12% to 5%. It just takes 7% out of all the fires you'd otherwise have gotten. Which is nice if you don't have a more critical skill to take, but hardly game changing and there's usually better uses for those 2 points.

You heard it first, folks, 6km torps are OP. Nerf Tirpitz. (let's ignore its competition has 16" guns and more of them, 10 and 9 respectively, so they both pen easier and do more damage)
-
I've had 100+ hits on battleships to bring them down, and it took a lot of fire damage on top... so yeah. As a means of comparison, I've gone so far as sinking a Myoko with a single penetration... right into the forward magazine. Yeah, try getting THAT lucky against a battleship in a cruiser!

Tirpitz is about as strong as the North Carolina and Amagi, naturally. That's whom you have to compare against. I'm not sure what exactly is it that you want, though... you want a refund from WG? (Forums is wrong place to ask for it, btw) Or do you want WG to develop more low-tier premiums? (Hint : Most premiums in game already are tier 5 and below, I think we pretty much only have Atlanta, Atago, Tirpitz and Warspite for tier 6+ ... and Warspite isn't in the shop. Oh, I suppose Kitakami also counts... LOL... any ship I missed? ) Ah, and of course... tell us which ships you think actually are OP and we'll give you a run-down as to why you're actually rather wrong about it. PS : Yeah, converting xp is a way for them to get revenue. So what? It's not like you can't grind the old fashioned way and Free XP keeps accumulating, too, just be very judicious about where you spend it?

These days my SOP is to file a ticket with replay and screenshot. At least this way I can guarantee someone actually looks and evaluates whether to do anything or not. Of course I only do so with blatant teamkillers. Accidents happen, not going to take the effort to file a ticket just to be an [edited].

Key to dodging torpedos is being aware that they may be there to begin with and act like it. And avoiding going in a straight line at constant speed for any long period, in particular, is a great start that way too many folks forget. That's in fact how DDs get a lot of their food. Air attacks are harder to deal with, particularly competent carriers, but there's ways to minimize them, and unlike DDs they literally cannot come out of the blue. You will see the bombers coming. And if you have cruisers around, they can help protect you, too. Honestly, one big tip that is very important... be careful how you use your repair abilities. If someone sets you on fire, it's probably not worth using it just to put out the fire. Keep it in reserve for when you have either multiple fires going (this IS a threat) or for flooding. And if you're under air attack, be especially cautious. Even if you DO take fire OR flooding, make sure there's not more aircraft coming down on you before popping the repair to stop the bleeding. Some carrier players are savvy enough to use either torps or bombers to bleed your repair before hammering you again and making you bleed... except without any means to counter it. Or simply staggered attacks because multiple carriers. So, don't be afraid to bleed a bit if it means you can staunch it after all the attacks are done. In the end, though, it's situational awareness that BBs need really really badly to succeed, and we can't teach you that... you have to learn by playing. One tip to help with that.... after firing and while reloading, press the mouse's right button. It'll move you out of zoom and let you look around. Take stock of what's going on so you don't get surprised. Then get back to shooting.

No, they don't really need buffs. If you know how to aim you can kill those pesky cruisers before they burn you down. And dying to torps that constantly means you don't know what the rudder can be used for.

with autoloaders firing 16" shells. You know, a la WTF E100. ;) (misspelling intentional)

1000 points, actually, or 800 on ranked matches. It's the game mode, Domination. And I assure you, it's a hell of a lot more annoying to get draws like they constantly happen in standard battles. Domination every match, every day, please.

Help us to have a better community on Ranked !

Turn on replays, then send them to support. -
Okay, so... polish flags in data files, therefore polish ships are next? Even though WG just announced German Cruiser and Russian Destroyer trees coming next? Uhh.... sure... we believe you.......
-
Or just uninstall and move on? It's more effort for about the same outcome in the end.

In real life carriers would sit 100+km away from the targets and just launch their aircraft in waves until the target is dead or they decide to go do something else. At least we get a chance here of closing in enough to hammer them. But I do agree that particularly in high tiers sneaking up to a carrier to torp it is almost a fool's errand. Better chances to sink one with a cruiser or a battleship, at least it can't really dodge your gunfire. And AP works surprisingly well on carriers. (though HE has the side benefit of potentially stopping aircraft from taking off)

Suck at the game? Cant hit anything? Terrible scores every game?
ScratxNeko replied to _x_Acheron_x_'s topic in General Discussion
Folks, I think Acheron is a MINUS FARMER. Quick, start upvoting him! ( Or don't ;) ) -
It's guys like that who give me a good reason to have replays enabled.

Stop trolling, WoWs premium consumables can be bought with credits. Or are you that unobservant? Look carefully at the UI... note the down arrow on the side of the consumable cost... try clicking on it... oh, yes, that is a pull-down menu giving doubloons or credits as options..... If WoWp is going gold-only for consumables, then it's their problem, not ours. Until they [edited]up and try doing that here, then it's pitchforks time. Ewww, no. Premium ammo is too expensive to use and stay profitable. If scrubs want to bankrupt themselves spamming premium ammo, let them. On most tanks you can do well with AP if you actually know what to do and where to aim at. In some cases, I LOVE scrubs who spam HEAT, too... yes, fire those HEAT shells that barely have any more pen than the AP you'd normally have... against my heavily sloped armor. Yessssssss.....

...boy, do I feel like they're getting screwed over. LOL https://na.wargaming.net/shop/wows/main/?item=1338 62.08 € (69.99 USD) The package includes: Tirpitz; port Slot in World of Warships; 1500 doubloons; 7 days of premium; Zulu x 60; Equal Speed Charlie London x 60. Add this legendary tier VIII German battleship to your armada! Combining speed, fantastic guns and torpedoes, the Tirpitz is a menace on the high seas! You’ll get more than just the sister ship of the Bismarck with this bundle, as it also includes Zulu and Equal Speed Charlie signal flags! When equipped, Zulu earns you an extra 20% Credits, while Equal Speed Charlie brings in 50% extra XP! Add to the fun with a week's worth of Premium and 1500 Doubloons for added earnings and XP. At least we got 2500 doubloons and 30 days premium. Plus a bunch of consumables that are meh. Nope, you're american, you get to pay more for less. Sounds like we're not the ones who got the raw deal, in the end...

I hope you don't actually believe there's any connection between the credit price and the tonnage of the ship... it's all about the tier, with a strange but relatively minor modifier based on the ship class (actually, price fluctuations are there because reasons, I guess, they're not consistent). But given the price differences, it'd be much easier (for good players) to grind credits in WoWs to buy high tier tanks than to grind them in WoT. I know how "easy" I can get the credits I'd need for a tier 10 tank in WoT if I could use WoWs credits... given I can get 200+k credit profit in a single match... shorter matches or not, there's no way in hell I can get that kind of profit in WoT. Period.
