I'll say the same thing the last time this thread showed up. Making citadel overpens deal more damage is logical, but only after the damage model is fixed to eliminate issues like a single shell penetrating dealing twice regular penetration damage. It's [edited]and it randomly inflates damage dealing in unpredictable ways. Since fixing it would reduce overall damage output per salvo (but may not have much of an overall effect because ships would survive longer? ), there's only a case to increasing damage output if it's necessary to counterbalance said fix. -
Hipper's biggest problem is high detectability combined with not being all that fast or maneuverable. If you get in a firefight you can't win, you're screwed. Far less likely to be able to disengage than a ninja Mogami, for example.

So the tier 9 is the H-series battleship and the tier 10 is the unknown design the russian archives had stored. And it seems H-42+ data for anything beyond proposals doesn't exist. And H-series wasn't tier 10 material. That's fine. I guess we'll take it.

This. Don't be full broadside on to a Montana. That's a Paddlin'. (hell, even a Tirpitz will happily give you citadel ribbons at close range against a yamato/montana. I've done that.)

I could see a renting option that works like this... You "start a lease" for a premium ship. You equip it as you like, get a captain, etc, all as if you owned the ship. However, it costs X gold per match until you either give up the lease or pay the full gold cost of the ship (at which point you own it outright, no more payments). If you give it up early, you DON'T get the gold back, but the gold paid is credited against buying it in the future (and/or getting a new lease, perhaps? ) This would work only for premium ships that are available in the in-game shop for gold, naturally... but that's the majority of them anyway. Please note that if you were to give up the lease, all equipment mounted on the ship would/should probably be demounted free of charge. IMO it's a rather reasonable leasing model. Though it might not please the "try before you buy" crowd because it still requires payment, even if just a small amount... -

I'd be fine with making citadel over-penetrations deal extra damage if WG would also fix other issues with the damage model. I've had such fun issues as a tirpitz 15" shell hitting a Nagato and dealing 7k damage on a single regular pen. Or single citadel hitting for like 13+k damage with the same tirpitz 15" shell. Come on... this is BS. Make damage acutally work consistently and sensibly first (in the process likely nerfing overall damage 'cause it eliminates these issues) and then yes, make citadel overpens deal more damage. BBs do NOT need a buff to damage output as long as the bugs that artificially increase damage output still exist. -
.... Yeah, this would be an epic nerf for DDs. HE citadels everywhere. So many DDs would get one-shotted...

Hopefully doubloons and gold will get merged, but I am not holding my breath for that because WoT provides the means to earn gold if you participate in certain game modes, WoWS doesn't. Maybe when WoWS does allow that it will be merged...

Japanese 203mm cruisers are good for the mission, too, you just can't really rush it with them. If you want to rush, you need shell spamming, period. 155mm Mogami is an option I suppose but I personally rather play more matches (got time) with the better setup.

Are you saying you just want damage to count? Or do you really want a single bomb/torpedo to add 1 to the counter? Somehow I don't think bombs/torps will be significant compared to just grabbing a spammer ship like Konig/Nurnberg and go to town.

Armor isn't that bad, but yes, AA is worthless. It's a ninja cruiser. Think about what fun stuff can be done with a ninja cruiser. And man, don't forget those torpedo arcs... they're the best thing about the Atago just after having heal packs at tier 8, which really really make a big difference. Pro-tip, if you're getting wrecked and enemy ships are beyond your detection range, stop shooting, move away and get hitpoints back. You're no use to anyone dead. Fire discipline is one of the most important player traits to have with this ship. Pick your fights. Don't let others pick them for you.

No. You fire the torpedos, your responsibility. It's simple to grasp. Don't fire from second line. You had to have done that for a ship to stop and then reverse into your torps. They don't stop on a dime. You would've gotten a similar result if the guy had turned full to one side and did a 180 degree turn. Torpedo fail is torpedo fail. That said, Pink is applied far too easily. Stuff like secondaries shouldn't count anywhere near as much. Getting warnings because your BB's secondaries are hitting that other friendly BB hugging the enemy ship is more than a bit lame.

Some carriers and cruisers are lightly armored enough for HE to citadel, too, but you many need 203mm or higher HE to do it.

Furrytaco's still got citadel, I assure you. Both on the receiving end and on the dealing to it end. Waxx, assuming port slot isn't a problem, give a Furrytaco C a spin. You'll be surprised. It's a tier 5 Aoba with slower reload speed and non-crappy torpedo angles... and the torp launchers are quads, even. With the 10 kilometer torps. At tier 5, an Aoba-lite? ... start the evil cackle and bring out the club, there's seals around... -
It says +50% or +100% , etc, in the end of game XP/Credits screen, and likewise in the carousel.
