    I just want to know

Something that isn't even true, since it caused more problem than it solved. It stayed for something like 3-4 patch in WoT before being removed. Was around version 8.1 or 8.2, something like that. And again, guys, behave a bit scientifically, please. You make a claim, you have to prove it, and not ask the other to prove it isn't true. That's not how it works. You say "noob (and not newbies) gets helped by the server in one way or another". Show us the proof. And an "impression" based on some particular elements and statistical oddities is NOT a proof. The fact is : "until proven otherwise, players are treated equally by the server, who has better things to do than monitoring players anyway."

  3. MMD are getting better and better as time passes. This is impressive.

    Level of play - Perception?

I got a GK going bow-on against half the enemy team in standard battle asking me in my Yamato why did I starts turning and kiting away... and blaming me for being a noob. Dude had a decent 54%WR, but 10k battles, and will probably never ever improve from this point, since he was absolutely sure he was playing the right way, and went as far as adding me in his ignore list. What can you do at this point... Even decent players refuses to improve and think a bit, so how the hell do you expect the random 45% to do anything remotely smart.

  7. I need to re-drop Yamakaze. Had to scrap her twice when I was a 100 slotter as she had no redeeming feature apart from being adorable. T_T Congrats on both Ark and Yahagi. I have the four Agano sisters since last event but only ever took the trouble to level Yahagi for now. Btw, I found this, it resumes the event quite well imo. XD
  8. Event is finished for me boys. It took a huge amount of time, and I basically dropped all rare ships this boss had to offer (even got Asagumo at node M and Fujinami before she finally dropped). My final drop list is here. Tbh I should go back to E-4 and farm Zara Littorio Roma but I just don't have the motivation. The last two days of farming were plentiful tho, with Ark, Gotland and Warspite dropping within a small number of runs. In a way, this was a good thing Hatsuzuki took her time, because I wouldn't have had the patience to continue farming after she dropped. She offered kindly to me the opportunity to get a load of rare ships. And I can finally proudly say THAT I HAVE A DUCK.
  9. The thing is, subhime cost only a bucket, a bit of morale and around 20 fuel. Retreating as her node is only annoying if you are short on buckets or run boss support. That's overall very manageable. But she's annoying. And yeah, who vares about the debuff. My light STF still bully the boss without it. Btw. Droped Gotland as I was writing this.^^
  10. Current event result for me : - E-5 finished. - Started farming boss of E-5 to get Hatsuzuki, Ark Royal and Gotland - Got Prinz (Yay). Bismarck... THRICE. And a Graf Zepp dupe. Still no goddamn Duck, Ark nor Gotland. I'm currently elevating them to the rank of Myth, Legend and Lie respectively. I swear I'll flip a table if I don't get Hatsuzuki by the end of the event. I need her absolutely. My ressources are still "somewhat" ok. Currently down to 181 buckets, 29k Fuel, 32k Ammo, 17k Steel and 9000 Bauxite. I farm E-5Casual with an STF that consume around 300 fuel, 350 ammo, and 150 bauxite per run, so I'm still okay for now. The random taiha by the sub hime are getting out of hand tho... I even took OASW Shigure to farm, but she still trolls me... At least, farming E-5 allows me to XP pretty quickly both Nelson (flagship of main fleet) and Prinz Eugen (flagship of escort). Also, Nelson touch is OP. It's well worth using double line (which doesn't nerf your FP that much anyway, and raise your accuracy) to trigger this. I do think it's not triggered often enough tho, but it may be related to luck and the fact she still isn't Kai.
  11. There's a hell of a difference between taking liberties with the classes ingame and adding a new one that won't fulfil any roles, will have completely nothing to do with subs besides the skin and will basically be here only for catering to the lowest common denominator. AND fueling even more the ignorance about what subs were used for.

Ça n'a aucun sens. C'est même pas défendable en fait. Sur aucun point de vue.
  14. Clearly I'm one of them. Subs have absolutely no place in this game. If they add it and make them remotely fun, they'll become completely fantasy ships. With fantasy statistics and a fantasy role they never had in any form or shape. As long as they stay in PVE, in event and the like, I wouldn't mind. But don't make them playable in any way in PVP. Please, wargaming, don't do that mistake. You'll only attract the same kind of ret*rds that thinks "Muh Bismarck is invincible" and "BB can't catch fire". We. Don't. Need. Them. And what about the matchmaking ? Did you even think about how much of a total revamp it would need ? If subs ever hits the PVP part of the game, I'll just leave.
  15. Got a nice surprise. I wonder why did I even try to farm her at node J if she just decides to drop when I'm clearing boss... Anyway, that makes almost all the drops I wanted. This event gave me two Bismarck, Eugen, Libeccio, Maestrale, Nelson, Pola and I-13. I'll try to get Hatsuzuki now, and if she ever drops, I'll just spend what's left of my ressource in E-4 TP boss node, to try to get Gotland and maybe some other pastagirl. The nice part is that E-5 last boss is actually quite easy to farm cheaply with a very light STF. If I have one things to say about this event, is that it made me realize how invaluable of an asset Tashkent is. She's so versatile. For the last two bosses I equipped her with two +12 torpedoes, her own triple tubes and a skilled lookout, and she nuked bosses in night battles. I also used her as standard DD with an additional support equip slot, used her with 2 guns + 1 torpedo tube + 1 radar (decent cut-in at night and better firepower at day with a good closing torpedo), used her as anti-install with 2 WG42 and 2 guns... She really is multipurpose and can fit in almost any fleet. Also, Isokaze Kai B and Hamakaze Kai B were so useful I basically didn't sortie Maya at all. I really hope I'll get Hatsuzuki by the end of the event.

  17. I'm sorry, i'll be mean, but only noobs with absolutely no clue on History, subs specification and overall wows gameplay would find subs in FFA a good idea. Try to not, at least, ticks all the boxes.
  18. Please no. Don't bring that crap in this game. It doesn't need it. It's fine if it's for one event. But that all it should be.

Mais bon, à lire ça : Alexandr Sasha Nikolaev: We’ve been discussing submarines since the beginning. The first conclusion was that we didn’t think that it was necessary. They didn’t fit the gameplay meta. But eventually we realized that we’d otherwise run out of content, run out of historical ships. At the moment, we already have all the major nations represented, with most of the iconic, legendary ships.

I kind of disagree. In most RTS I've played (and I never played SC2 or the like, more the Tiberium Wars series and the good old Age Of franchise), the skillset is very different to WoWS CV play. I can manage stuff at different part of the map, no problem, in any of the RTS I've played. Simply because you control several dozens of units, not four, and they don't just melt in a second if a threat appears, like a Minotaur can do to your planes in a Taihou. Basically, you can react, and it's not that hard to both manage your base and the fights. Also considering you need less micromanagement of your attacks on most RTS games. You have units specialized in dealing with some type of opponents and you use them as your advantage and using the maps layout, and you create them to fight specific opponents while still managing your ressources. But you rarely have to do something as specific as straf and counterstraf, and choosing the angle of your run. Also units are usually slower, the only fast one being the units that flies, and they have specific counters that deals tremendous damage to them. (And here I am thinking of the OP GDI teleporting bombers in Tiberium Wars xD) Actually the current CV gameplay only caters to a very minority of the players. Full-on RTS players wouldn't like it, and players who never touches FPS won't either.

Can we have axis vs. allies events?

TBH, historical battle completely failed in WoT, and that wasn't exactly their fault. They tried, even by removing non-historical modification on several tanks. But they couldn't fix the human nature of bluntly refusing to play the underdog. In one week the historical matchmaker was stuck because everyone wanted to play the SU-152, IS-2 or Tiger. And when you look at the clusterf*ck that is Warthunder and their "historical battle (lol)" with either completely unhistorical opponents (to try and get comparable performance tanks together instead of going by year of design, which is a good things, but terribly balanced by Gaijin), or the historical battle event with historical matchup that sends A6M2 Zero against poor F2A-3 for the battle of Wake Island... I think you can guess how it goes : matchmaking flooded with player in the japanese side. I wouldn't mind "allies vs axis" but we need to change the class balance in the MM too. One or two BB per side, 3-4 cruisers, rest is DD. Not sure if people would find that fun. I think I actually would, but I'm not exactly the "average player".

The difficulty of playing CV IMO isn't at all the APM, it's the divided attention. You need to defend, spot, and attack at the same time on different side of the maps, and you can't do all of them at the same time. I have the bad tendency to completely forget air cover and concentrating on eliminating enemy fighters, spotting and attacking enemy ship. So I do 3 jobs out of 4, because I just don't have the leisure to do the fourth one without losing a lot of efficiency. It's already bad enough when playing Kaga, I just can't keep up when playing Taiho. At best I can try to separate my planes and cover the biggest area in order to react with my fighters faster and deny any approach to the CV.

    HSF Harekaze, any chance?

I still can't understand how you can even hope to defend Asashio. It's not even the caps and the other DD. It's about being utterly and completely useless when it comes to dealing with a cruiser. A ship that simply can't harm another ship class is just bad. What will you do if you find yourself one of the last alive against a Chapayev ? Nothing. You can't do anything to him. Besides running away, which isn't always a reliable option. Having terrible guns against DD isn't an issue. But simply having a void in the weaponry that makes you completely hopeless against one class is just bad. Deleting cruiser with torpedoes is far more important than killing the idiot in their BB. Sure, you can achieve 60%+ WR with it. Like any ship in any FFA scenario. But that doesn't make it a good ship. Harekaze is a good ship and should be the only true captain trainer of the IJN DD Line at high tier.
