ShinGetsu replied to Doobiecool's topic in Expérience de jeu

TUTOS. OBLIGATOIRES. PLEASE. -
I don't have Aigle, so I can't contradict you on this. Aigle seems interesting but I want to keep my coal and my doubloons for now so yeah.

Don't listen a word to what Yaskaraxx says, he's a completely clueless noob that sadly thinks he knows it all. T-61 is currently the best t6 DD. Far better than Shinonome thanks to fast and stealthy torps, as well as better firepower, better than Gallant as well which is already not bad at all.

Non.
Merci. Apprend d'abord. Marche avant de courir.

I think it's because it's more noticeable in WoWS and other WG title tbh. The terrible playerbase is here in all game, but in WoT/WoWS you don't have respawn, you have to do with your very limited ressources, and each mistakes is punished harshly. Another thing is the "what is expected" from each ships in WoWS that the average player can't grasp. They snipe with BB because they have the range. They torpedoes from afar with DD because they fear radar and are torpedoboat, or yolo-suicide in caps because they have to cap. Individual ship difference ? They don't understand that. A Montana is the same as a Yamato in their mind. TBH the same abysmal player level is noticeable quite clearly in War Thunder. Try playing Air RB with no respawn, and you see very quickly how much the average players sucks or have to rely on OP planes to do even remotely decently. Playing Monster Hunter World atm, and there's a quest with a very agressive monster ongoing, and each and every of his strong attacks one-shots. Doing it with players I know isn't an issue, doing it solo is annoying but very doable, but it's almost impossible with the random 4-players matchmaking.

Großer Kurfürst - Legendary Upgrade, Keep or Sell?
ShinGetsu replied to ___V_E_N_O_M___'s topic in General Discussion
GK's legendary is arguably the best module, maybe tied with Yamato's... -
Because it is like that in. Every. Single. Videogame. Most people are just bad and won't admit it, because blaming other is easy. That's the sad truth. Of course, not every player is good at every game. I'm absolutely terrible at playing FPS, so I don't play them. I'm far better in the RPG and RTS genre. Explanation in spoiler as it is long. I played tons of video games, and I'm mostly a RPG player at the core. And the terrible playerbase of WoWS, I've seen it in every single game I played online.

Before adding the Main Battery Reload Booster, I would actually agree with you. She was "meh" at best, with the only redeeming feature of being very fast with strong AP and decent HE. Basically she was only good in endgame, at capturing and recapturing objective while using her HP pool and decent artillery, and sometimes outrunning destroyers (seriously, using hydro and speed boost allowed me to do some hilarious yolo on smokes while the poor DD was panicking). Now that she got the MBR, she's actually very, very strong. That single consumable got multiple uses and makes her quite nasty. I'd say she's a ship that have a gameplay in between the Moskva and the Zao. You use speed and range to spam HE and support your team wherever it is needed. And you use the MBR every time you see an opportunity : AP on broadside cruisers or even sometimes BBs (can really melt a BB HP fast in the right circumstances), guaranteeing several fires with 4 high damage HE salvoes to force a DCP or the opposite, to take advantage of a DCP being used, deleting a cruiser in an ambush, trying to finish a low-HP ship, shooting AP at Minotaurs... (240mm overmatch Minotaur, which makes her the best Mino predator) I think the MBR gave her the flexibility she lacked. The torpedoes were too situational and she lacked burst, having only a decent gunnery and ability to relocate to rely on.
-
Or just take IFHE for your four last points. Simply because it get past the threshold of 50mm and can pen german BB reliably, and Moskva/Stalingrad plating. Which I found becomes quite interesting by now. Especially combined with MBR which can get you some nasty salvoes + fire on BBs.

More like I didn't have the choice to take that engagement. I was spotted anyway, team was completely crap (they camped south of Okinawa and I was around the B cap), but I could have done a much, much better match without those two ships laughing at 80% of the games mechanics and getting away with moronic play. The game was lost, my ship had no chance anyway, but that doesn't excuse the Conqueror for being a moronic ship. With any other of the tier 10 BB I could have devised a tactic to not only dodge the situation, but at least sink one. You just can't defend Conqueror design. It's just terrible in every way. -

No I wouldn't, because if it were, say, two Yamato, stopped, broadside, I would have citadeled the hell out of them, disengaged and would have keep them spotted. If it were two Montana, I would have used the fact they have slow shells to evade most of the salvo and probably would have escaped mostly unarmed by timing my turn right. Once I'm in kiting position, Montana and GK can't do much and Yamato will have trouble to deal serious damage unless he manage to overmatch the 32mm part in the middle (hence avoiding my belt). And any of them would have still lost a huge amount of HP playing like that, as they are big, punishable - even GK because it's huge and doesn't have OP heal - and wouldn't have been able to disappear this easily between salvoes. Also, I would have spotted the Yamato/GK/Montana earlier and could have avoided a situation where I'm fired by both of them at the same time, or at least wouldn't have stayed in their range this long. We're talking two idiots basically stopped broadside there. -

Because the map was Okinawa, and a CV was spotting me, maybe ? Because I couldn't disengage. I would have if I could. But when a single HE salvo shaves 20k HP from your ship while I'm KITING, there's something VERY wrong. That's still totally besides the point. The point is that ship is completely stupid. I usually can deal with a single one, but that's because team usually focus them heavily. Not that I expect a sealclubber with close to no experience in tier 10 to understand. PS : also, broken doesn't mean OP nor P2W. It's a stupid ship, but it absolutely sucks at carrying. -

I had great "fun" yesterday, in my République. Two Mongquerror in Division that sat broadside at 20km and spammed HE at me. I absolutely loved that 20k HE salvo one of them scored on me. Loved even more the facts they were disappearing with friendly DD in between us because those crap have broken concealment. And the best part is that I was doing 15-20k salvoes at MOST to them, and they just had to press heal to repeair most of it. Anyone thinking Conqueror is even remotely balanced need a serious reality check. One is already terrible to deal with unless you play Yamato or can out-DPM it at closer range with République, but two is just impossible to deal with. They soak way too much damage and deals way too much without even trying. And the worst part is that angling doesn't helps at all. Those ship are the level 0 of skill. You can't do more stupid. At least they are easy to farm with Harugumo. Meager consolation. -
Favorite shipgirl (Kancolle,Azur lane, Arpeggio of blue steel,Haifuri)
ShinGetsu replied to Kancolle_Kongou's topic in Off-Topic
There are some very good doujin (SFW) with Nanodesu tho. (the Shiba-inu admiral for one, though Ashigara is the one that gets the spotlight in this one. Or the more serious and more brutal doujin by Yua, also very good story.) I don't mind the Akatsuki sisters and I don't care about the fandom. I think saying that "fandom destroyed a character" isn't really fair tbh. Kashima is still the ufufu-girl she is in the game IMO. And I'd like to drop her... Fandom can also helps making the character even better. Like Saberkaze. And the ducks. -
