Ah bon ? Pourquoi donc ? Qu'est-ce que t'en sais en fait ?

Dude, your experience in high tier BB is nil. You only played the completely broken Missouri. *edited* And when a BB is focused by several cruiserhe SHOULD be yoast you freaking BBabies. NO SHIP IS SUPPOSED TO TANK SEVERAL OTHERS. WHY can't you understand that ?
-
No, it doesn't. If you get heavily focused, you already did something wrong. BUT you can just turn tail and use your heal and DCP AFTER turning so you can actually disappear from sight. Heal and DCP are mostly useful when you want to push and when you want to kite. What is wrong is always using the DCP at the starts of a "HE spamming" and especially if your opponent can still fire at you after your DCP end. It's not contradictory, it's just a matter of positioning. There are other way to tank than blindly pushing or bow-tanking. And smart management of your concealment, DCP and heal is a huge part of it.
-
Because that's the exact same situation. If you get focused by four cruiser in a BB, you should die as quick as being focused by three BB in a cruiser. I was being sarcastic... you should have understood that. You ALWAYS had to create crossfire. You ALWAYS died if you were too agressive in this game. But it changed over the time. At first it was citadel hits, since BB citadel were high, and it was CV drops. Now it's cruiser focused fire. Best range for BB always was 11 to 15km. And around 17-18 when you wanted to support from longer range (which can be useful). Simple rule for BB : your concealment = your best range.
-
Because there are smarter way to support a cap than just coming just behind it and offering yourself to crossfire, maybe ? Like... moving so that you can actually crossfire the caps yourself ? Sure, if you want to bow-tank and die, you can. But BB are waaay more efficient at being a mobile heavy artillery platform that search for crossfires and remove cruiser from their "safe" positioning. And you can do that in every map. And BB are perfectly able to tank two cruisers if they want to. Well, not all of them, but a good number of them can.
-
"Oh look, I screwed my positioning so much I get focused by four high-DPM ships, and I actually die fast ! Who would've thought that can happen" Seriously ? THAT'S your argument ? Try surviving with a cruiser with a République, a Montana and a Yamato all locked on you from three side.
-
Why would your DCP be in cooldown in the first place ?... Save your DCP and Heal for the moment when it is actually relevant to use it...

Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"
ShinGetsu replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
I actually disagree. Kron can be in a very difficult situation if forced to duel another tier 9 cruiser. When fighting an angled cruiser, it can't do much, while the other out-DPM it massively, and depending on the ship, can either burn it to crisp or deal massive AP damage even if Kron angles. I really don't want to fight a Buffalo or an Ibuki that knows what he's doing in Kron. On the other hand, Kron tend to survive longer against large ships and tend to deal more damage over the duration of one game. -

Main Battery Reload Booster - What's the verdict?
ShinGetsu replied to Admiral_H_Nelson's topic in General Discussion
Okay, STANDARD cruiser. Yeah, the velocity is good. Not Zao nor Moskva, so not "the best", but it's middle ground, on par with Hindenburg. And I call that good. Hindenburg got the alpha but not the penetration, Zao got velocity and "good" penetration for 203mm but not the highest in any stats, Moskva got the velocity and the penetration but not the alpha, DM got the penetration (plus the angle) but not the alpha nor the velocity, Henri got Alpha, Penetration but middle ground velocity. I find the Henri better than the Moskva on some points, especially since Moskva doesn't have particularly good guns besides the high ROF and the penetration/velocity. Damage tend to be a bit meh and the fire chance isn't anything amazing on Moskva. -
Main Battery Reload Booster - What's the verdict?
ShinGetsu replied to Admiral_H_Nelson's topic in General Discussion
You mean that would make it even more a monster than it already is... République, of all ship, doesn't need it. And Bourgogne already has it. TBH you're comparing apple with orange here... Bourgogne gets 12*380mm, République got 8*431. It's not the same beast at all. And what the point of talking about fire chance when you're playing them with AP only anyway ? As for the Henri IV, I think the booster just gave it the versatility it needed. It was a "meh" ship before, the booster on the other hand gave it a new role of being able to burst a target. It also made the engine booster more valuable as you can use it to take a position quickly and ambush a ship. Combined with the best AP of the tier (highest alpha/good penetration/good velocity/normal angles) you can literally nuke a cruiser or sometimes even a BB. It has other nice utility, like instantly setting multiple fire on a target that just used its DCP. -
Le débat : dissimulation ou maniabilité ?
ShinGetsu replied to Marcanzi_1's topic in Expérience de jeu

Izumo is a goddamn tank now. 57mm deck, very good armor scheme against AP, tiny superstructure and big turrets in the front that soaks a lot of shell. Good thing it still have some giant 32mm sections...
-
Yamato is the BB that fears the less the HE spammers... Well, maybe a bit behind GK. But even GK doesn't have that sweet 57mm deck armor (not a single CA can penetrate that), and GK isn't mostly impervious to AP bomb as well. Yamato got everything it needs to deal with HE spammer : powerful gun, high velocity shells and accuracy. Try to bowtank a Yamato with a DM, you'll be happy to only get rewarded by a 20k salvo. And since I got the legendary module on it it's even more powerful. Yesterday a Baltimore tried broadside at close range, I had less than 2 seconds shell flight time to him so he was about 3-4km from me. Instant deletion. "Overpen ? Lol. What's this ?" République is even more dangerous. It's true that République have 32mm armor everywhere which makes it quite... squishy... but those 431mm are no joke. Kiting at the concealment distance of a République is extremely dangerous in any CA, especially since it got a very fast reload that will make you move a lot if you don't want to be deleted. Granted, Montana can have issue, on the other hand. A Moskva bow-tanking a Montana will have a field day at all the shells bouncing on him. IF you really have trouble with HE spammer (well, besides Conkek which can be very annoying), take FP, take CE, take the module that reduces fire chance, add BOS on top, and manage properly your DCP, don't waste it on a single fire. If you do that and don't overextend on 3 CA focusing on you (something NO SHIP in the game can stands to), you'll fear HE spamming a lot less.
-
Players who thinks : - Cruisers are OP and melt HP too quickly - You can't push at all in a BB Have some serious GIT GUD issue. Learn to manage your heal and DCP, learn to not overextend and push only when needed, and learn to kite and draw fire to you, while retaliating tenfold. I laughed hard at the "citadel are hard to hit on cruiser". The cruisers I delete on a daily basis with République and Yamato would want a word with you.

EU seulement.
-
I laugh it off. I don't care if people can't read stats properly. And it's true I'm potatoing in CV anyway.
-
Oh I agree with you and I understand your point. Just wanted to point I still got flamed a lot by my teammates even before the match started. I saw things like "both CV are potatoes" and "that dude freepexed the entire line".
-
I think they actually should remove the reload bonus on it. The dispersion makes it so reliable, it doesn't need more DPM on top of it. Either that or remove the latest Yamato buff on turret rotation so that your positioning really matters. But it's still not that OP so I don't mind if they leave it as it is. It rewards good aiming, and I think it's a good thing. On the other hand, it becomes so accurate that, if you goof your aim, you can't count on the miracle shell that stray off the path and land a citadel. I got some derp too, but mostly when I wasn't on critically important target. And if you broadside to it, you're gonna feels the pain, as it should. And you're still not gonna catch a Zao at 17km that knows what he's doing.
