Alaska is a tier 9. Alaska got US balistic. Which is as good as the russian railgun in its own way. Russian railgun can't take advantage of islands and aren't superheavy shells with plunging arcs at long range. And Stalingrad doesn't get the same normalization as DM AFAIK. Improved yes, but not to the point of the DM/Alaska. And no, Stalingrad armor isn't better than the Moskva. It may have some better nominal values here and there, but the sheer size of the ship combined with the worst concealment ingame is a huge drawback.

You know nothing about statistic yourself. It's sad really. Try to learn a bit some advanced math before saying this kind of nonsense.

I think you need to accept it in your email adress first. Or it is a notification in the game website. One of the two. It's not directly added in port at least.

Use the AP. It's far more efficient. HE are only there for dealing with DDs.

Just add some node with a mechanic similar to the LBAS attack. And depending on the number of radars it triggers or not. Map 3 will be "very difficult". Hmmmm... I think I'll try doing the event in Hard/Med/Easy or Hard/Med/Filthy-Casul depending on the difficulty. Anyway I'm here right now. I didn't manage to clear 3-5 before the event so I didn't bother to finish the leveling of Kagerou. I think I should be OK ressource/buckets wise provided I don't have to farm too much. I have a duck now, so I don't have to farm too much to get another, unless it's Swanzuki. I Ise Kai Ni as well now. My next priority after the event I guess will be to level Asashio, Bismarck, a lot of DD and get a ton of BPs. -

I think Shiranui had some appearance in the anime or the movie, but that may be the only one ? Maybe Kuroshio or Yukikaze ? Don't remember. We got Tokitsukaze briefly in the movie as well. Here for better identification : Shiranui : Kagerou : Maikaze and Nowaki : Arashi and Hagikaze (Hagihagi super cute waifu) : Oyashio (I think one of the rarest DD drop in the game, can't even remember last time she dropped) Kuroshio : And the whole family together (minus Hagikaze, Oyashio and Arashi which were added more recently) : From left to right : Tanikaze - Nowaki - Maikaze (below) - Yukikaze - Hatsukaze - Kuroshio - Kagerou - Shiranui - Amatsukaze - Tokitsukaze - Isokaze (waifu) - Urakaze - Hamakaze - Akigumo (below Hamakaze, and sporting a Yuugumo-class outfit as usual despite being part of the Kagerou-class) While I'm at it : -

Besides Kongou and Kirishima on top (which are obviously Kongou-class BBs), it's all Kagerou-class destroyers. Pink hair in the center is obviously our favourite deadpan Shiranui (nuinui), with Kagerou herself besides her. You got on the top left Maikaze (blonde) and Nowaki (silver hair), on the top-right you got Hagikaze (purple hair) and Arashi (orange/red), and on the lower right side it's Kuroshio and Oyashio (with the hair clip). All of them are drawn by the artist Konishi. -

Guess even Tanaka plays WoWS. Jokes asides, we already knows the DD is Johnston. We even knows what she looks like, so she'll obviously be in the event. -

DD meta in Random games pretty good at the moment..?

My clan still use YY in CB, the radar is still a great advantage on that ship, despite the nerf, but it's clearly a ship which sole purpose is to spot the other DD and helps its team gun it down. In FFA the nerf hit it way too hard. I think DD are mostly fine right now, but as a class I also do think they would need to be stronger overall. Having 60-70% of the average damage of others classes in tier X seems meh. -
Oh clearly it's more than "a good ship", in particular in FFA where it's so easy to find bad player and farm them with Stalingrad monster guns. On the other hand, I see all tier 10 cruisers as complete monsters with sky-high potential, so I still think Stalingrad isn't THAT much of an outlier. And as great as it is in CB, it's still a ship most decent clans with a good line-up can face. Be happy it wasn't released with its previous statistic, when it had a 32mm bow and AP-only. THAT was horribly OP.
-
It's armor is similar to Moskva true. But the ship is almost as big as a freaking GK. The 50mm part of the bow is way smaller, and it got huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge 25mm section. And since it's so [edited]fat, it also eat waaaay more shells in the superstructure compared to Moskva. A bow-tanking Moskva is a huge pain in the arse since its buff in armor, because it's still the size of a cruiser and it's rather sleek. Many shells just hit the water left and right of it when you fire at it from the front. While Stalingrad take it all. IMO Moskva is a better tank. For me, the definition of OP is "a vehicle/character/whatever that even a moron can use to relative success". Asashio in a way is like that, tho Asashio have very limited potential so it's not exactly OP. Stalingrad is more of a "ship with a too huge potential in good hand." Now, here's an example of a super-unicum stats with his tier 10 cruisers : To me it doesn't seems like Stalingrad is that much of an outlier. An we're talking a guy that use all its ship to its full potential.

All cruisers can, because they can kite and they also have HE DPM. I'd rather not engage a DPM contest with a DM if I can with a Hindenburg. Or even a Zao, because Zao can just use its burst ability to nail Hinden with accurate 10k salvoes. On the other hand I can say that Stalingrad have a really hard time to dictacte engagement. It's the first spotted, it's huge so most shells hits, it's sluggish with a weak broadside so turning away to kite is hard. Its only real good point are the railgun AP shells with improved angle. Those hurts like hell... if your target is badly or not angled. I've seen Stalingrad in CB or FFA doing very low damage on my ships after the first salvo that immediately saturated my superstructure. Clearly it's a strong ship, maybe too strong in good hands, but I really feels like people are over-reacting way too much. Moskva is as dangerous, can tank way more easily and at least can spam HE to decent results when it doesn't have any available broadside. The only time I felt hopeless against Stalingrad is when our clan found themselves against SPUDS in CB, they used two Stalingrad and played very agressively and quickly overwhelmed my Moskva and one of our side. But I'm pretty sure the results would have been the same had they used Moskva too. Our strat for that particular match was bad right from the beginning and they got us on our weak side. Any other Stalingrad we fought in clan battle was stuck in a bow-tanking position very early in the match and died to the focus of our cruisers quite fast, for the simple reason they couldn't disappear and turn.

It's just an overhyped Moskva. It can't hide, it's a huge target, it's a tasty snack for CVs (AP Bomb in particular), it only got a good armor (mitigated by the sheer size of the thing and the easy-to-reach citadel) and incredible guns. It's clearly too strong because the guns punishes mistakes very harshly, but on the other hand, it only really works against bad players that don't angle. Its HE DPM is absolutely terrible and any 50mm-penetration face-melter like Conqueror, Henri IV or Hindenburg will just chip its life away while the Stalingrad can't really do much to them. I know tester that had it, and said to WG it was too strong, but on the other hand it's clearly a glorified Moskva. I think I'd rather get the Azuma if what I've seen of that IJN bugger is representative of its ability after release. It's a bit too powerful, but it's clearly not the world-ender-machine that somes says it is. I've seen it played by very meh players and tbh it's one of the first ship to die.

No, it's less an issue in WT because the game is blatantly unbalanced from the beginning. WR is not a representation of player ability, it's the representation of which nation at which tier is the most broken. The only stats that actually matters in WT in my opinion is the Kill/Death ratio for a specific vehicle. If you're around 1, you're decent. If you're above 1, you're good and/or spamming broken vehicles (something very easy to see in the stat card). But WR is just not representative in Realistic/Simulator battle, because for example the global winrate of the Abrams is very high, because the tank is way stronger than most of its opposition. Some patch before I had 80% winrate without even trying or being particularly good with the Leopard2K, because playing germany was so stupidly easy. WG on the other hand gives you mirrored matches with mostly a balanced game - even if some ships are better than others of course - and the format is pretty much always the same. As such, player ability can really be shown.

The smoke is weird but actually gets a lot of use. It reload as quickly as it disappears. It's almost impossible to torp a Jutland/Daring that knows what he is doing, because it smoke for a very short time, get the hell out of it, and resmoke later at a completely different point. It's as if you're fighting a kiting smoke. Both Jutland and Daring aren't that good at doing pure damage, in short. I use them as harasser. Instead of going ballzy into a cap, I get into it, chase the DD until he smokes out, turn back, use my smoke as cover to run away, heal, re-attack the same point later. I use Jutland's amazing engine to bait salvoes and kiting, I use its AP to harass BBs from behind a smoke or sometimes even in the open. etc. You're an annoying fly. Doing real damage is hard because you primarily will focus DDs and your torps aren't that good with a long reload. You need IFHE, even if you are using primarily AP, because you can get bullied by a Benson that knows his stuff if you don't have it. - Survivability : it got a freaking heal. Only three uses, but it's STILL a huge advantage especially in DD vs DD fights. And it's a small, agile DD. But its best strenght lies in USING THE ENGINE. Exploit it, it's amazing. You can stop very quickly and get back to full speed in a matter of seconds. You can dodge most stuff sent at you, and with that it almost doesn't lose speed when turning. If you steer it properly you're almost impossible to hit. - Harugumo is terrible at cap contesting. Harugumo is a tier X Kutuzov, used for mid/long-range harassing of capital ships. Trying to cap with Harugumo is a recipe for disaster, because you turn like a truck, eat battleship AP, and can't dodge torps seriously. - The hydro is not very good for spotting DD, but it's awesome at warning you of torpedoes. Its use against an enemy smoke is extremely situational, but on the other hand you don't fear torpedoes, even if a Shimakaze send you 15 F3, hydro, small size and agility combined makes you almost impossible to hit. The best use of Jutland/Daring, is to being that annoying ship that will never allows your team to push a cap properly. From the enemy team point of view : it's hard to hit, the torpedoes are enough of a threat, it will constantly set up yet another smoke and harass you from it, yet it will never stay inside it for long so you can't even try to rush it. And your DD will have a hard time trying to fight it, even if it's a high DPM ship like Gearing, because torpedoes will never hit, Jutland/Daring can kite easily and the AP hurts like hell if your DD tries to use all its firepower. Add the heal to that which is a very discouraging ability and you get a royal pain in the arse to push into with any DD. Also the single torp launch can easily tricks an enemy into a perma-flood. I think it's biggest downside for a good player is the fact that doing big damage numbers in it is hard. You can get a very very high WR but with 60k average damage which can be a bit frustrating.
-
It's actually 400 meters. And it's not only that, it's ALSO for the accuracy debuff. It's as important. Ship without camo can get hit very hard because each salvoes are more accurate on them. If you don't do that, you'll really suffer against BBs.
-
Starts by mounting a freaking camouflage. 13.3 concealment hurts my eyes. Camouflage on EVERY single ship. WG gives them by dozens anyway. Then get freaking CE + IFHE on your captain. You should have 14 points if you're already at tier 7 man. And you're not gonna survive with any cruiser without at least CE. Then, mount the premium consumable. Again, you can't expect to do a decent job without the premium DCP at least. Then, learn to kite. Staying behind an island is something you should only do if you can't kite properly or can easily farm damage on overagressive enemies. Shchors can get as low as 11.35km concealment. You should have it. And you shouldn't even be proud of 80k damage with IFHE face-melter. It's a "decent" score, but no more than that. Then again it depends on what target you shoot at. If you spammed only BB, it's utterly terrible. If you killed DDs and cruisers, it's a good score.

maybe in the future a german aircraft carrier line??
ShinGetsu replied to CaptainKreutzer's topic in Off-Topic
Lolno. Also WG already stated that GZ would be the only german CV in the game. (It's the reason they wanted to make it "special") It's even worse than russian papership, it's pure fantasy. Even a French CV line would be less stupid and that's already something ridiculous. -
We don't need subs in the game as it is now. Make them fight in separate game mode, with a DD vs sub mode for example; but don't add them in the game as it is now. It's not even a matter of balance, it's a matter of fundamental gameplay, map design, objectives, machmaking and class design. You didn't even touch the issues of speed, the issue of DD doing simply a BETTER JOB IN EVERYWAY. Your idea isn't even about balancing, it's pure fantasy. (Not to mention sub never had the job to fight in surface battle)
