MM, Porte-avions, PVP et montagne de sel!
ShinGetsu replied to Gunther1611's topic in Expérience de jeu
MM, Porte-avions, PVP et montagne de sel!
ShinGetsu replied to Gunther1611's topic in Expérience de jeu

I find it quite believable actually. I had the same thought about my performances in Panther and Panther II in World of Tank. Not only they were far from being as weak as most players and forumers believed, but they were seriously underestimated ingame, and it allowed me to farm overconfident players all day long.^^

Stealth firing removal: also for Premiums!
ShinGetsu replied to Sams_Baneblade's topic in General Discussion
Not really. Zao got great torps with great angle, Zao got the best cruisers HE rounds ingame (apart maybe from Moskva's) and Zao got much, much better shells arcs. DM have far less options. Even without the SF, Zao will still perform just fine. -
Stealth firing removal: also for Premiums!
ShinGetsu replied to Sams_Baneblade's topic in General Discussion
I'm sorry, but the stealth firing mechanics is moronic, and I agree with WG on that matter : it should have never been there in the first place. Most, if not all the ship that can use stealthfire does not need it to perform. Blyskawica ? Oh please, that things is a monster even without stealthfiring. Zao ? Just kite like an Atago, and like you should be playing it anyway. It's not like your performance will suffer from it, quite the contrary actually, because stealthfiring requires playing at range where you're almost useless. What I do agree with the playerbase however, it's that it will not encourage players to play anything else than battleships. -

Also the distance are completely false in regard to the speed in the game. One nautical miles is 1.8km. A knot is the number of nautical miles per hour. So if you goes 21kts like Colorado, you are actually going at around 37.8km/h. It means you need around half an hour to do 20km. I don't think Colorado need 30 minutes to do 20km in the game, considering you can sometimes travel a good 100km according to the game. I also think DDs are mostly too big in comparison to the biggest BBs in game.

Iowa is my favourite. NC is not bad, but I fell in love with how deadly accurate Iowa is. That awesome -11% max dispersion really helps a lot. Add the awesome concealment dropping as far as 12.2km, and every oblivious enemy that shows your broadside to you in the 12-16km range is dead within 3 salvoes at most. I never did so many citadel hits with any other BB. Like 9 citadel for around 40 hits sometimes ! 45/60.000 damage salvoes happens often against other BBs, devastating strikes on cruisers are even more usual. I kept both NC and Iowa, and I think I'll buy Missouri as well when the opportunity will comes, so that I can have an Iowa that prints credits.

Whats the most important game statistic to you
ShinGetsu replied to ziggydog's topic in General Discussion
Strangely, I tend to use the smoke as much as possible with the RU DD. It's with the IJN ones that I tend to smoke allies most of the time... Am I doing something wrong ? -
J'arrive.)

If you only play for dealing damage or having fun doing whatever you want, play a solo game. I'd gladly recommend you Dark Souls 3. It's difficult, but rewarding in its own way ! WoWS's a team game. If you don't want to win, what the hell are you here for ? You're mistaking the means with the end here. When I play WT in historical matches (with planes), I honestly don't care about the win, because the game balance is horribly screwed, and I'm here to enjoy dogfighting in somewhat realistic settings with a Bf109, not to climb 14.000 meters because there was a bomber idiot that refused to play. (Happens all the time) The win I seek in WT, is winning my dogfight with my opponent. Also, winning the game in WT isn't as rewarded as individual actions. That's clearly not the case here. Despite the balance issues, the game is still somewhat fair. And if winning wasn't a goal, why would the reward for a win be an almost +50% bonus ? Doing "MUH DAMAGE" is fine and all, but if you don't want to win the game, you're useless, and more than anything else, you are a burden to your team. And doing more damage but losing isn't half as rewarding as winning the game with the right action. Also your other analogy with family game is completely wrong too. -
Look here, you ostrich. Stop putting your freaking head in the sand and look at reality : you have absolutely no idea of what you are talking about. And I hate nothing more than people blabbering about things they don't know as if they were professional of the field. I play every class of ships, I don't freepex a line unless I really want a specific ship, and I do decently enough with each and every ship I played until now. The only one I'm genuinely struggling with right now is the Neptune. It's not the ship fault, it's mine. I also have some issues with Yamato, tho it's getting better now that I changed my build. And what can you see with my stats ? Neptune have horrible stats when you compare it with any other ship I played. Yamato is also lower than my other battleships. On the contrary, I know I'm a good player with NC and Iowa, and my stats shows it. You are just a noob. A complete, stubborn idiot that does not understand aaaaanything about this game. And you have the galls to blame others, blame our ego or whatever. But it's YOU who have an inflated ego right there. Know your place, you quack. Each and every of your post is just garbage from your own, narrow point of view. Learn to acknowledge when you are wrong, it should be useful in your life as well.

I find the dynamic binocular to be the best one IMO. Having the same scale no matter how much you zoom is really priceless once you got the hang of it.
-
Let's see : you have 44k average damage with Iowa, and that's about the same for all your battleships. You are even worse with your cruisers, most having less than 30k average in your tier 8. And not even mentioning your DDs. You're only doing somewhat decently with your CVs. However your winrate is horrible with them, which means you farm damage on BBs but don't attack the most important targets, and you're probably not spotting for your team. If I see your BBs stats, you have horrible survival rate. Which means : you're not doing near enough damage and you die too quickly : you're a yolo-type of player. It's not surprising you have 48%WR then. Works on those issues, and you'll get better. Also, your Colorado stats tends to confirm this : Colorado is slow, so you couldn't yolo with it : your stats are better in comparison.
-
So you have not enough influence in the game, then. I estimated in WOT around 35% game you will lose no matter what, 35% you will win no matter what, and 30% you can influence in one way or another. That means you can solo-carry you way to 65% WR if you're good enough. In WOWS you can do even better.

Of course those exist. If not, what would the Zao use to fill those HE rounds, huh ? -
Whats the most important game statistic to you

Akatsuki is totally able to carry a team, what are you going on about ? I have the Shinonome, and it's essentially the same ship a tier lower with nerfed gun reload and torpedoes. If I can carry a team with Shino, I bet any decent player could with Akatsuki. Also, even if some ships are stronger than others in certain area, most are totally fine. A good player can do with whatever ship you throw in his hands, after maybe a little time to adapt to the playstyle. WR is the most important stat, because it's the goal of the game. It shows how good a player is at reading the situation and doing the right thing at the right moment. Even if it means losing on the damage dealing and survival rate side. -
Remember there is a huge proportion of idiots playing the AS loadout and failing miserably with it in the US CV, while most player use the balanced loadout with the IJN, hence having better overall results. Any player that knows what he's doing in my clan tells me that Essex is very, very good and totally able to match a Taiho.
-
I don't know about the dispersion tbh. Logically it should be the same as NC, and I found NC accurate, so ?... I don't know.

Essex strike loadout is honestly already very strong, and Midway 2/1/2 is also very balanced. I find Essex a good match for Taiho. I don't really know with Hakuryuu against Midway tho.
