  1. Only Midway and possibly Hakuryuu (?, not sure about that) have more than 90 planes. Midway having a huge 130+. Welp, that would "balance" Saipan a bit. Hiryuu, Ranger ? What are those ? Never heard of it !

  3. 8 Fighters, 10 TB, 10 DB ? That would make 2x4 standards fighters and 2x5 TB/DB ? Basically Hiryu, but better. And 90 planes too.

    Number of battleships ingame

You're right, but honestly... why should we care ? Lately there's a huge number of "german BB main" with horrible results, that only played this line of ship, and spoiling the fun by doing complete crap in every matches, while still being toxic in the chat "DD noob", "no spot", "learn to play BB noob"... They are the same players that rushed Tiger I and E-100 in WoT and were playing thousands of battle in tier 10 with 43% WR, and still refuses to admit they are bad player, stubbornly clinging to their principles of "playing for fun", "stats means nothing"... Why should we care if those players are annoyed ? They are killing the game anyway. Anything that discourage them from playing is good in my eyes. I'm sick of those toxic players. Had a huge numbers of them in my battles yesterday and that was just horrible.

Algérie, Henri IV and Duca d'Aosta preliminary stats

Well, it's not like other tier 5 cruisers are much better honestly. Kirov is a Devastating Strike waiting to happens, Omaha is so paper-made I sometimes think it's actually a tier 4, and let's not mention Königsberg and Emerald... The only cruiser with some armor is actually Furutaka at this tier. And I still found Kirov very workable, even in tier 7 matches. Though dealing with them constantly is a huge pain in the arse. But I think I would have way more OP stats with Kirov if not for that... and I was already at 40k average damage and 62% WR. xD Anyway, it's a tier 5, so even if it's not very good, it's sold within 30 battles. At worse you can freeXP a part of it. I'd rather have a not-very-good tier 5 and much better tier 6-10. Though I keep hoping for a huge buff on H4. At least on penetration and rof. Please WG

    How to stop Camping tactic

Right now I'm having fun with the russian cruisers in this camping meta btw. They are like the ideal ships to burn those long range BB waiting for the battle to finish. You play far from them, and spam them with your long-range accurate rifle while dodging salvoes, and you're not even camping since you sail at 37knots and come back and forth at the range you are the best at, while still using radar to keep enemy DD out of the caps (and sink them eventually). It's still an unforgiving gameplay since getting a bit too close or messing up a turn at the bad timing means dying instantly tho.

    How to stop Camping tactic

No need to starts being toxic... I'm working too, and I have a life as well. That doesn't keep me from being a good player. You can be a casual and yet a good player. And if you never cared about stats in the first place you probably wouldn't have posted here to complain. Campings happens because most battlesheeps players (pun intended) have the simple mind of "I have range = I snipe" which is totally wrong... The average level in this game is horrible, as it was in WoT. The only way to improves the quality of the games is to improves yourself and makes other players do the same. (Or makes WG forces them to improves, but WG will never do that) Just look at the number of BB players using the Survivability Expert skill (the one raising max HP). This skill is a complete waste of skillpoints on battleships, and any decent player would know it. It tells you a lot about the playerbase.

    Which cruiser line for me?

Since you said it, I checked ingame. Donskoi got 760m turning radius for 8.4 ruddershift (with module), while Hinden indeed got a much worse 800/9.7. That surprised me, because each time I'm playing Donskoi I feel like it's much more squishy than that. I think it's because of how I play them, and their respective speed. Donskoi goes 37.8kts with the flag, and I play it at long range wiggling left and right to avoid shells. Hence I feel like the long ruddershift makes it turn like a truck. Especially with the lack of armor. With Hinden, I play more agressively, rarely changing side of the guns, and I'm relying more on my armor. Also I uses the german hydro when I feel there's a DD close, so I rarely eat torpedoes and avoid them quite easily. And I'm only going 31.5 knots too, which probably contribute to the impression of having a turning radius matching my speed. I think it's totally a matter of feeling and gameplay on my ends. Facts points that you are totally right, but I still rarely feel handicaped by my lack of agility with Hinden. I'm surprised to see Moskva got 760/10.9 (8.72 with 20% module), too. I thought it would be less agile than Hindenburgh. Well, anyway, if you're used to Shchors, any other squishy cruisers would not be a problem. It's a matter of personal feeling on my end anyway, so take it with a grain of salt. ^^ (Also Baltimore is much more agile. It has 730m turning radius which is also a lot, but the ruddershift is 6.24s when full with 20% module, and turret turn 180° in 10 seconds)

    Is this true?

Well, I just hope they'll have a reachable citadel. With the influx of BB player going to german from RN, we may have at least BB you can actually Devast. Strike. I'm sick of those 10-Bismarck/FDG/Gneisenau battles. But gib me French BB first. I want to play with those 2x4 380 and drown other BBabies, wehraboo and RN fanatics in their tears. x)

    Which cruiser line for me?

German hydro helps a lot. The handling isn't good, but clearly much more workable than the russian cruisers. And the ship being not very large helps for torpedobeats. Hindenburgh armor is more troll-armor than anything else, really. Against cruisers it really does the job against AP as long as you don't over-expose your broadside but against BBs it's much more random. Something you eat salvoes after salvoes without flinching, and sometimes you'll get a 25k damage salvo... In short : don't count on it too much. It's still a cruiser. Being one-shooted is rare tho. I find Hinden artillery very correct. It's true that you lack penetration, but that doesn't keep you for massive salvoes on broadside BBs. Yet if they angle, your only option are the "average"-HEs. Fire chance is good enough tho. Overall I find Hinden very comfortable.
  17. Erm, I never played DS, but I did promise myself that I'm sooooo gonna buy Dark Souls 3 next time I'm upgrading my computer to something with an actual Graphic Card (cause right now I'm playing WoWS with quite the crappy settings and DS3 would simply be impossible) :3 I have some 2B wallpaper too. I did search a bunch of them the other day. It's incredible how fast this girl did become a source of inspiration for artists on the net. xD But well, here, have a badass Kiso first :

    Is this true?

Well, I agree this ship has flaw, yet it is still very strong even for a "good player". Dunkerque got really trashed on for no reasons, really. It probably have my seconds best stats in tier 6 after Budyonni, and I found Budyonni particularly strong as a tier 6. Btw I'm surprised nobody even linked the "git gud" video from Yuro :

    Is this true?

I like how reviewers trashed on Dunkerque when it was released, and here it is, sitting at the 2nd best spot. xD

    Murphy's Laws for Battleships

Alternative version : when your first salvo does massive damage, you will either detonate next, or miss everything else afterwards.
  22. Dunno, I don't have it and I will probably never play it. Ask someone in my clan. xD From what I'd read tho, the script is impressive.

  24. Okay, so the title is a little long and pompous, but I'll try to get fast to my point, and hopefully with arguments. We all know, and WG knows all the same that currently the high tier matches are completely dominated by battleships, followed closely by destroyers. Cruisers are currently scarce in higher tier battle, and they requires a much better player overall than battleships to do something actually useful in battle. Especially since we now got Radar-BBs, hydro-BBs, and AA-fortress BBs (for the few CV we actually can see) WG knows the BB-meta isn't good for the game either. Yet they still decided to remove the stealthfire. I'm actually favourable to the idea since I think SF should have never existed in the first place. Yet it will only make the life harder for some cruisers and destroyers in an already difficult meta for them. Now, coming into the main topic : there are French cruisers upcoming soon in the game. They should be fast, heavily armored, with average armament (good torp, but few, and average guns with no particular qualities nor weaknesses), given how WG described it and how Algerie indeed was. But the current Henri IV got kinda very bad statistics. Basically it's a Moskva, but inferior in everything (firepower, accuracy, armor, AA, even agility...), with 3 torps on each sides and a speed boost that clearly doesn't even begins to balance it. I think WG is aware of this, so here's my proposal to makes it more interesting : Right now, we need cruisers able to fights BBs, while they shouldn't be too efficient against others CA/CLs and DDs since we already have tons of hydro, planes, radars, and railgun to one-shot cruisers at the other end of the map. And I see a simple solution : - Give 30mm of bow armor to Henri IV instead of 25. - 1-2 second less reload (17.15 ==> 16 or 15) - A better ruddershift. - Better AP penetration value, cause those current value are simply ridiculous for 240mm. What does it means : - It will be able to bowtank AP of everything but Yamato (cause Yamato should still be able to lolpen anything IMO, that's its only redeeming quality) - Yet, since the sides would still be weak, and 30mm isn't enough to stop HE penetration, other cruisers would still be able to hurt it quite a bit with HE or on the side. - The 22% (Lol) fire chance, even with bad accuracy, but with a correct rof and good damage, will be able to melt BBs, but the meh accuracy will handicap Henri against cruisers. - Better AP penetration will probably means more overpens on DDs and cruisers, but will hurts broadside idiots in BBs, and God knows we need that. Broadside BBs except Iowa, Yamato and Montana have far too much survivability atm. And they will even buff Iowa and Montana next patch ! - Combined with the speed boost and excellent (but few) torpedoes able to launch forward at a very small angle, I think it will make an incredible cruisers for player that knows when to push and attack. Yet it will still not be a one man army since the lack of anything efficient to spot DDs, and the meh side armor will not protect it against anything serious. Basically, it will be a serious threat against BBs, but not so much for cruisers, CV and DDs, and that's what I'd like to see ingame, and I'd gladly submit the idea to WG if I could. How about this ? Did I miss something ? Does it appears completely and utterly broken to you ? Or, well, maybe I'm just dreaming because I want my ideal tier 10 there. Finally, I'd say I don't know jack about ship history, and Henri IV is a papership anyway. I hope I didn't trigger your inner historian.
