On the contrary, I find Hindenburg very good at dealing with the BB meta. Also I played all the (silver) t6 cruisers, and Nürnberg was quite fun for me. The only one I didn't like was La Galissonnière.

Favorite shipgirl (Kancolle,Azur lane, Arpeggio of blue steel,Haifuri)
ShinGetsu replied to Kancolle_Kongou's topic in Off-Topic
Zuiho is starting to become one of my favourite in Kancolle. She's almost my full-time secretary ship. Also she's OP, she's destroying everything in her path, right now she's even two level higher than Kiso (18) which I had since the beginning. And she's kyoot. I love all the random line she says, unlike other shipgirls that are a bit too militaristic. Crafted Yamashiro today, I kind of like her design too, but she's a bit too much on the siscon side of things. :x -
Why were you AFK at the start of the game? (assuming you were)
ShinGetsu replied to SomeoneYouKnow2's topic in General Discussion
Had a few crashes that made me afk for an entire game. It was a few patches ago, luckily it seems resolved now. But mostly when I'm late, it's because the game take a loooong time to load. Well, it's my fault for playing on a computer with basically the computing process of a sewing machine, but I never had the issue in WoT with the same computer. I never am late when I can load the quickly tho. Curiously, it seems the game takes a while to load is because of the ships model, and not because of the map. Loading is much faster in ranked where we are in 7v7. -

ShinGetsu replied to Smitrix's topic in Discussions sur les croiseurs
Hindenburg vaut le coup. C'est le navire agressif par excellence. J'ai pas beaucoup aimé Roon mar contre. -
The second one is from wikipedia and with multiple sources, I would think it's quite a serious pic. However there's an edited version with a fake Yamato on it.^^ I found a discussion on reddit with those pics, with actual former men of the USN that served on the Missouri and Iowa talking about those broadside tests. The only real problem is the blast, which means you can't have anyone near the gun when it's firing. On the opposite side of the deck isn't an issue tho. Here's the topic :
-
There are rather impressive pictures of Iowa firing its main gun on the internet : This one is already nice : But this one is even more impressive, showing the effect of the blast on the water. Honestly, they don't even care. Guns absorbs the recoil rather well now, they're designed for it, and the ship itself being such a huge mass of metal, even with the brutal recoil it would never capsize, the keel is here to prevent that. And that would be a really, really bad ship design. I think it would actually never float in the first place. ^^

The "sod you" I'm buying Hood anyway thread
ShinGetsu replied to BrettMRC's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, please do contributes with overflowing the server with even more BBs. That will makes more food for my Blyskawica. -
Well, going 40 knots can helps a bit in late game, when it comes to taking back the caps or denying an area to a DD. But it's true that they lack utility. I think they should at least give them hydro and AA in separate slots. Either that or giving them more torps.

Allemands pour le brawl en croiseurs. Mais pas avant le tier 8 par contre. Sinon Des Moines.

Lol, clearly not.

There's a bunch of different proposition for the Sovietsky Soyouz I think.
-
Got the captain too, I'll save it for Henri IV I think, as I plan to keep a captain for Martel or Saint Louis. (Don't know which one I'll keep for now) I did the torp mission with Shinonome. My second pick if that failed would have been Hindenburg. Shinonome actually trolled me for 2/3 battle while I was unable to get a single torp hits, and then the last try was a 100k battle with 7 torps hits and 4 kills.
-
Well... Same for Hipper, Atago and Mogami then ? At least Martel have good AA, and speed allows contesting caps. IJN cruisers and Hipper (especially if you're playing with AA def instead of hydro) are even more selfish.^^ I found actually very funny to use the speed boost to troll a Z-46 running away while shredding Shokaku planes on the way. And I'm stock, with bad guns arcs, bad reload, not optimized AA and horrible ruddershift. I think I'll fit it with Rudder 40% and Engine upgrade when full. It should drop to around 6s of ruddershift, and the engine upgrade should help after a turn. It would probably work better than concealment and 20% rudder.
-
Let's not forget they actually could reload them in around 30 mins for the faster crew (usually 1h or so if I remember it well), while the other nations usually needed 4 or 5 hours.
-

I only have Moskva to compare at the moment, and I only tried Zao and DM on PTS. Not counting Minotaur because it's too different. DM is a beast when you can get close, it's very brutal, and in those conditions, I think no other cruiser can match it (if they can't use the torps). Zao is... well, Zao. Flamethrower with good torps and awesome concealment. However it kind of lack impact in the game. However, right now, I find Moskva both more difficult to play and less powerful in the current BB-DD meta. I won't say Moskva is a bad ship, cause that's obviously wrong, but Hinden being weaker than Moskva... no, not really. As for Henri IV, it's a quicker but less armored Moskva with guns that punch through any armor and deck with its HE penetration. Hindenburg allows me to get insane scores really easily. The other day on the North map I pushed through C in a suicide rush against a Minotaur and an Izumo, torped the full HP Izumo and crippled the Minotaur my teammates sank right after. I died, of course, but it was a move so agressive my team actually followed it and encircled the whole A/B groups of the enemy team and made quick work of them. And only Hindenburg can do that. On my end, it's actually the best tier 10 cruiser. You can carry a team through agressive move only it can do. Hindenburg is dangerous against CA because a single mistakes is at least a 30k salvo It's dangerous agaisnt CV because it has the third or fourth best CA AA (DM and Minotaur are miles ahead, but the match is close with Henri IV depending if you consider only the AA DPS, or the facts Henri have only long-range AA with a bit less DPS) It's dangerous against DDs because the hydro spots them and the 4x3 guns with high rof and high velocity kills them very easily And most of all, it's dangerous against BB because at close range they tend to overpen over the citadel, the 16 torps with very good angle are deadly, it can bow-tank 380mm and less (and there's soooo many Tirpitzes and Bismarck lately), and the guns may lack penetration, but the issue resolves itself when it sees a broadside or play at close range. I agree with your opinion on something tho : the difference of efficiency between all tier 10 cruisers is quite thin. But IMO Hinden is a bit ahead.^^
-
What I don't understand is... why would you be playing Donskoi if the russian line doesn't suits you ? You should have dropped it at tier 6 or 7. (Not talking about you there, but in general) Moskva isn't even that different in term of gameplay, so it's not even a matter of "reaching the tier 10 that's very different to the others". If sniping isn't your thing, if long-range support disgust you, you have to be a real masochist to keep doing it until the tier 9.
-
I may be an heretic in your eyes, but I'm actually looking forward more to the Sovietsky Soyouz (have potential to be a really good BC) than to those ugly RN BBs.

Btw, thanks to my clan influence, I started playing Kancolle yesterday. Already crafted Zuiho and Chikuma, I'll try to get a BB today. I have to say, bullying Hatsuyuki is fun. That Hikkikomori need to sortie often with me. xD Managed to craft a fighter squadron for Zuiho too. I wanted to take Murakumo as a starting ship but I didn't understand the screen and choose the default Fubuki. I'll try to drop her I guess. -
