Dans le cas de la classe Surcouf (T47), d'ailleurs, les lanceurs sont en 4x3, avec 2 lanceur par bord, ce qui donnerait un DD qui balancerait ses torpilles comme le ferait un Farragut par exemple. Du coup ça fait quand même une volée de 12 torpilles au total.

Shooting down its planes, avoiding the drop while knowing he won't be able to do anything worthwhile for the next 3 minutes ? I don't know, I find fun seeing plane squadrons melting. Just to know, what do you suggest to balance CV then, if you are so dissatisfied about them ? Be a little constructive maybe, instead of going all "WAAAAH CV ARE MEAN"

Well, anyway, for Yamato there are only a few rules : - Don't get too close but don't camp. 10 to 15km is its optimum range. If you camp, you can't soak damage for your team and you'll lose. If you overextend, you are dead. - Forget the secondary build BS - Try to get a cover on one side, so that you only have to watch a single group of enemies - Learn its balistic. Its shells are fast, you have to aim a bit differently than with other battleships. - Everyone and their mother always angle when they see a Yamato. Even potatoes angle to a Yamato. That's the only bloody ship ingame that have this effect. You see idiots sailing broadside to 12x406 of a Montana and getting deleted, but they will always be scared of the japanese mountain.

Je veux pas dire mais c'est assez révélateur quand même : - On met des anglais en supertest, ils ont des stats complètement délirantes - On met des français en supertest, ils ont des stats totalement pourries. Alors ok "Mécélesupertest", mais j'aimerais bien voir pourquoi ils mettent systématiquement des trucs nazes aux français avant de leur mettre des minibuff sur la pointe des pieds alors que les anglais ont systématiquement des trucs craqués dès le départ qu'ils atténuent un peu après...

Ce DD a des stats de tier 3, c'est presque insultant d'en faire une récompense. Le Krasny Krym est bon à côté.

For the Yamato, don't listen to people talking about secondary build or whatever. Focus on the main battery, survivability and concealment. You can always add manual secondaries for extra dakadaka at closer range instead of concealment expert, and I recommend to at least get AFT in order to have a bit of AA defense though. Here's some captain build I suggest : http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/0100000000100010100001001000100019 http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/0100000000100010100001000000100119 http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/0100000000100010100001000100100019 For the upgrades, use Main battery Accuracy, Main Battery Reload, Concealment Upgrade, and your choice between ruddershift or less fire/flooding. With the Yamato I usually stop pushing at 10km, or push slowly between 15 and 10 km. You are not a brawler like the germans, and your main battery is deadly at that range, while your armor allows for tanking. Thanks to AR, the more you burn, the faster your reload is, and the more dangerous you are. A 20k HP Yamato with 22 seconds reload that still can tank for a while is a nightmare for enemy BBs. In the beginning of the game, try to find an island. You position yourself close to that island, and still facing the enemy team. That way you'll tank only the enemies you want to tank and you only will have to worry about the torpedoes coming from the front. Another gameplay, though harder, is being a bait. You get as close as 10km from the enemy team, and you turn back to run away slowly, firing your main gun "over the shoulder" and baiting several enemy BB to come after you. That's the tankiest position you can be in and that distracts a good part of the enemy team. The hard part is managing to turn around without getting hit by multiple citadel hits. Also, if you can, play Yamato in division. A good support ship with you is always welcome.

En Kongo en CBT avec le MM+4 j'allais me fritter contre les gros machins perso. Dans de bonnes mains ce truc est vachement puissant en tant que low tier en fait. Et Kirishima il a subit un 2v1 d'abord. USS Washington et USS South Dakota à la fois ! -
Et donc, pourquoi ça vous ulcère qu'on ai un event dessus alors que vous vous en tapez totalement des évènements Pearl Harbor ? Au moins on en parle, c'est déjà ça, ça pourrait instruire des gens qui ne connaissent pas cet épisode. J'y vois seulement du chauvinisme au dernier degré les gars.

26% de DPS ? Tu prends en compte le skill qui rajoute 30% de DPS avec la différence de 3 tiers ? Me semblait que sur le total en prenant en compte le skill t'arrivais à un peu plus de DPS et un peu moins d'HP pour 5 chasseurs de Kaga contre 4 de Saipan.

Mais il est sérieux lui ? T'es au courant qu'on passe notre temps à râler nous aussi ? Pour l'exemple je rage fortement sur les cuirassés anglais qui vont arriver d'ici peu et seront probablement complètement craqués, ce qui ne m'enchante pas du tout. Par contre, les mecs qui pleurent sur les mécaniques fondamentale du jeu, on a pas de pitié, parce que ce sont eux qui racontent n'importe quoi.

Scoring 120k+ damage with Hindenburg has never been that easy man. Yeah, you lack Zao alpha damage with HE, but you still do 5k+ thanks to the buff in penetration. You have more than 50mm now, not a single deck armor ingame can stop that. -

Mais c'est nawak ce topic. Vous vous êtes offusqués des events Pearl Harbor ? Vous avez demandé à faire interdire le clan Tora Tora Tora aussi ? Après tout ils ont dans leur nom le signal de l'attaque sur des navires au port, sans défense, et sans déclaration de guerre préalable ! Faut pas déconner là. Le seul problème de la mission c'est sa difficulté et le focus que ça va engendrer, comme lors de la mission Nachi avec les 20 introuvables russes à couler. Et ça me gave bien de pas avoir chopé Nachi d'ailleurs... Si vous l'avez fermés sur Pearl Harbour, vous avez strictement RIEN à dire sur Mers El-Khebir. Je suis 100% de l'avis du mouton sur le reste. -
The torps seems very slow, but with very fast arming time, so you gotta drop very close. On the other hand that means the TB will have to drop inside the short range AA while Shokaku and Lex can snipe. And the pattern will decides everything. If it's horrible even having 15 torps will not helps a lot. I think it's logical that Bf109 are fast, but with low health and low DPS. They weren't dogfighters, but fast plane made for E-fighting. I think you're supposed to uses them for fast straffing on enemy fighters or bomber before running away to friendly AA. (Also Bf109T are mid-war planes at best, they're a variant based on Bf109E, a bit like the F models, they're far from the late model G and K. They're kind of behind the N1K1 of Shokaku.)

Well yeah. That leaves IJN and russian DDs useless... great to have two of the four line useless and the most popular one at that. I don't have the choice and will sail either Shinonome or Okhotnik anyway in this mode. I won't grind a line for that. -_- -
Ooooh oui le Surcouf, je veux ! J'ai une maquette du machin chez moi d'un mètre 20, j'adorerais l'avoir en t10 sur le jeu. Il a fait la guerre d'Algérie l'engin, et c'est le détenteur du record de temps en traversée de la Méditerranée !

It totally depends on the drop pattern though. If it's horrible (like a drop in the shape of a X) the 15 torpedoes aren't that powerful. We don't know anything and currently WG is having fun with weird drops pattern. -

[I really want dam busters on RN CV in order to drop bombs on BBs out of their AA range ] Yeah, I expect very close drops. However the Ju87C TB are currently the slowest and the most fragile of the tier 8, so even with 15 of them, if you have to drop inside the close range AA of a NC in order to do damage... they'll suffer. -

2x4 Fighters (Bf109T) and 3x5 TB for now (Ju87C). AA around 250 DPS, with the standard Def AA and DCP of tier 8 CVs. Nothing much to say, it will depends on how they will balance the TBs. The torps seems very slow at 33 knots base speed, 38 with torpaccel. It seems they arm much faster than the US and IJN torps though, if I understand correctly. So you'll have to drop them at very close range... -

Moskva bow is overmatched by every BB caliber out there. I tried tanking in Moskva once of twice, until I got double citadelled by a Bismarck at 14km... It can tank with its HP, but Hinden is far better at trolling higher caliber. Hinden got 27mm bow armor, you tank every 380/381mm, and there's a ton of Tirpitzes and Bismarck even in tier 10 matches. The turtleback is amazing at close range. Most BB will just penetrate higher than the citadel and fail at doing any significant damage. And Hinden is a very good flamethrower actually. It's pretty close to the Zao in that regard. 12 guns, very good reload, very good fire chance, very good HE penetration (doesn't help for fire, but helps a lot for doing damage) And there's the catch ; decent player, in tier 10 ? Where do you see them ? I mostly sees potatoes. I see broadside idiots in EVERY GAME with Hindenburg. If you can't find one or two target you can shave of at least 20-30k HP with two salvoes at least 3 times per match, you're doing it wrong. Since the last buff I never performed this easily with Hinden. I should buy it a premium camo, that would motivate me to play it more and get better stats. (I struggled quite a bit when I bought it). I'm saying it again : Hindenburg is VERY powerful in random match. Far easier to play than Moskva, amazing at pushing caps, punishing broadside idiots and ambushing with the armor and the torpedoes.
