    Akizuki 'gunboat'

I can only compare with Harekaze, but with Hare, a broadside DD get between 2000 and 3000 damage per AP salvoes, while the HE does 1600-2000, but light fire and destroy modules. Overall AP is better for taking out another broadside DD, and I only switch HE against angled DD, or sometimes against lower tier to wreck their module and make them unable to run away from me. As for the Lo Yang, I tried both torp and I definitely joined in the 6.7 dark side. The 9.2 are just so frustrating. You land one in a NC aft and you see 4000 damage without even a flood. The trick to using the 6.7km is to move parallel and a bit ahead of your target to artificially extend the range. And those torps kills or leave your target half dead. That's one of the reason our team stopped using all Lo-Yang in competitive too. We landed two torps inside a Kutuzov smoke and saw him lose 15k HP. While with a Benson or an Akizuki to help the LY at least you got kills with good smoke snipe.

    Akizuki 'gunboat'

Yeah, that's the point. I would like to see a tier 9 Akizuki and a tier 10 Super-Akizuki (If I remember right there was some papership or whatever designed to follow the Aki. I may be wrong), with better stealth and agility. A tier 9 Aki with better agility (say, close to a Kagero or Yuugumo for example), reload module, Panic-plane button (but no DPS multiplier) and maybe even the choice between the Heal and the Smoke would be a very interesting design. Right now she's heavily nerfed to fit tier 8. I think that's a real shame.

    Akizuki 'gunboat'

Actually Akizuki DPM with AP is better when enemy DDs are broadsiding than HE. Getting salvoes at 2.5k damage every 3 seconds is downright scary when you're on the receiving end in a Benson. Well, I'm only playing Harekaze, but the guns are the same. And I love smoking at range of a broadsiding BB and stuff him with 2000-2500 AP salvoes every 3 seconds. Not only the score goes up very fast, but they can't heal those damage as easily as fire.
  5. Besides Grand Blue, I'd say Shokugeki no Souma is also one of my favourite manga currently running. But it is still second only to Boku no Hero which is very, very good imo for a shonen battle manga. Well, I have a ton of other favourites, I'm more of a seinen reader.
  6. Yeah of course it's a joke. Well, just read the first two or three chapter.

    Akizuki 'gunboat'

Akizuki would need some love from Wargaming however. It's too slow, not agile enough, and don't even have DAA when it was build for the purpose of shooting down planes. It was one of the most modern DD in the IJN and it's sitting at tier 8 with heavy nerfs all around. I find Harekaze better as it has 2 gun less for one torpedo launcher more, and both the concealment and the agility of a Kagero.

Akizuki primary ammo are the AP. Only switch HE to penetrate angled DD (and you need IFHE for this)
  9. About Grand Blue, let's see... Iori just enrolled to university (science major) close to the sea and will be living in his uncle diving shop. There lives also his two beautiful cousin Chisa and Nanaka. Chisa is in the same year of university and Nanaka already graduated and is helping the shop. You read this, and expected some light romance ? HA ! TOO BAD. Iori expected something like this too. Iori is rapidly kidnapped by the senpais of the diving club, a bunch of muscular trolls, and he spend his first day drinking heavily. And he find himself in his boxer for his first day of university the next day. There he meet Imamura Kouhei, an irrecuperable otaku that does a very poor job at hiding it. And he trick him at joining the diving club with him. And this is the starts of the college life of Iori and Kouhei. Including some great diving scenes, some college life with scumbros, some (poor) attempt at romance, lot of trolling by the senpais, and an astronomical amount of alcohol. The art is awesome, with lots of great faces, the girls are all very cute, I find myself rolling in the floor laughing at each new chapter (Chapter 41 that was uploaded yesterday sent me in a roar of laughter at page 6, had to calm down before resuming), and there are even some things taht remind me of my own college life, though the manga exaggerate a lot. It's licenced, and if it is ever published in France I'll buy them aaaaall.

Tier X Carrier gameplay, threats and insults

Well, I guess it makes sense that "Drone" performs like a bot. Anyway, page 2, @pra3y did a very good job at analyzing your issue when playing CV. THE main job of a CV is to provides vision and spot/kill DDs. Farming damage on isolated BB is easy but doesn't win game. You can do that at the end of the match. But what you should do is : 1- Spot enemy team early to see what they are doing 2- Spot enemy DDs 3- Prevent enemy CV to spot allied DD 4- Kill enemy DD if possible, if not either crossdrop their smoke with your 2 TB to forces them out (or even better kill them inside :3), or just leave a squadron in the vicinity to spot their torpedoes. All of this by being conservative of your fighters. Even if Midway is very hard to deplete, you still have to reload them if they die, and you lose precious time. And during all that, you can go farm some damage with the DBs to forces DCP or profits from an already used DCP. Also, Midway is currently the strongest tier X CV, and it was already a monster with the 2-1-2 setup it previously had. You have absolutely no excuse for your horrible performance. It's all YOUR fault and nothing else. If you can't accept that you're dragging your team down, you will never be better.

    Kii (T8)

Si, il a une turtleback. Elle est juste moins bien agencée. Après il tanke très bien anglé proprement.
  13. Btw, if there is one manga I would recommend here, it's Grand Blue. Nothing to do with Grandblue Fantasy. It's the new manga by Inoue Kenji (Baka to Test) and it send me laughing and rolling on the ground at each new chapter. http://www.mangahere.cc/manga/grand_blue/
  14. My mods currently are : - Some camos - A soundpack - Captain Icons - Historical flags in the port And there are people saying : "go play vanilla" ? Hell no. If I want to customize the harmless graphic, I will do it. Actually without those my motivation to play would have taken quite the hit. Banning all mods is a bad thing.

  20. Zuihou best CVL. For the casual talk I prefer Suzuya much more than Ryujou, and for the verbal tick Akitsushima is the best ~kamo !
  21. Yamakaze is a Shiratsuyu class and nothing more than trophy ship. Unless she get a Kai Ni but Murasame and Shiratsuyu themselves aremore likely to have one first.
