The game has become totally unrealistic
ShinGetsu replied to Furija111's topic in General Discussion
Most survivable, riiiight. That's why they have triple or double the hit points of other ships maybe ? I guess then cruisers tier 6+ should receive the heal too then. After all, Kumano (Mogami class) went back to base with a single boiler barely working after a battle, and still took 5 aerial torpedoes and 4 bombs to sink afterward. Some battleships sank with far less. -

Exactly ? I mean, Yamato costed as much as four Destroyers in term of ressources spent, and the IJN would have been better off building those destroyers instead. Cruisers and DDs were the workhorses of all navies, not battleships. Every ship in this game are buffed compared to reality. Battleships are no exception. -
Si on a IFHE on dépasse même 50.

Nope, IRL the best that was ever done was a Kagerou crew reloading the torpedoes under 30 minutes. Overall a typical IJN crew could reload them under 1 hour. While every other nation, either didn't carry any spare torpedoes, or took 4 to 5 hours to reload them. -

Yeah, tell me more how Akizuki is OP. Poor DD with a single 5-tubes, agile like a truck on icy road, and underwhelming concealment. Also, Akizuki were among the last destroyers the IJN built. They were the only DD in the IJN to have an effective AA. And for the love of god, don't starts with "DD CAN'T RELOAD TORP". It's an ARCADE GAME. It was NEVER realistic in ANY WAY. You got the wrong adress mate. -

Guys, just add avenger in your ignore list. *edited* He is just trying to derail every CV topic with the same old useless "arguments". This post has been edited by the moderation team due to Naming & Shaming -

HEPL! Mogami, the lovable scamp - Playing tips, if you have any?
ShinGetsu replied to RAHJAILARI's topic in General Discussion
With 155 and IFHE, play like a large Atlanta. Mogami requires you to be vicious. Use islands. Ambush. Catch DD unaware. Drive mad BBs using covers and concealment. Don't get caught in open water. You can play a bit more like a normal IJN ship when in tier 6-8 battle, but in tier 8-10 you have no choice but to do that. Luckily the broadside of 15 x 155mm guns with IFHE give you an insane burst. -

I'm absolutely sure the spotting mechanics always was "The spotter receives half the XP of the one doing the damage."- 34 replies

Don't worry, I can drown you even more in finished anime recommendation if you didn't see them all. -

It may have changed since then, but that isn't how that works in WoT. In WoT, assuming a hit at 300 damage net 100 XP. If you're spotting the target and your friendly do 300 damage, the spotter get 50 XP, while the one firing the gun get 100 XP. If you're spotting your own target, you get 100 XP. Unless you're at long range because there's a bonus, or at very close range : there's also a bonus. I would like having the same in WoWS. Especially for CV. If the rewards of the CV increased to omuch because of this, we could just lower the amount of rewards given for shooting down planes which is ridiculous anyway.- 34 replies

I uses expedition 36, 11 and 6 when I need bauxite. 6 is good when you have the possibility to chain launch expedition every 50 minutes. 36 and 11 on the other hand are good when you don't have the time to play. 36 gives 200 bauxites every 9 hours plus more than 500 fuel and 200 steel, while 11 gives 250 bauxite every 5 hours. Also if you have daihatsu but not many Daihatsu-carrier, 36 requires 2 AV that can carry Daihatsu anytime. Just use Chiyoda/Chitose. Usually I chain expedition 21+36 and the last one depends on what I need. 2 for Buckets and ammo, 5 for general ressources, 6 or 11 for Bauxite, 9 for fuel. -

Dammit. You guys makes me want to try another Bismarck/Musashi LSC now. I just reached my Bauxite softcap for the first time since I registered to this game. I may want to try a Taihou/Saratoga LSC too... -
It's nothing alike. Atlanta is a hard ship to use. It's made for hugging island and play close to the caps, destroying DDs very easily, shooting down plane, and basically deny all objective to the enemy team. On the other hand it downright sucks in open water. It's a very fragile Light Cruiser. Clearly not a beginner ship, at all. However Atlanta carry potential is sky-high. Mastering this ship makes it a nightmare to deal with. It's very alike the Des Moines in tier X, though DM is much tankier. Atago is a standard IJN heavy cruiser. It's fast, reasonably armored, with powerful 203mm guns including very good HEs and very decent APs. It have a heal which makes it interesting for a tier 8 cruiser, but its range of 15.8km is sometimes hard to use in tier 8 and its AA sucks. It's fast and agile, and the armor is okay-ish when angled, but it's still prone to Devastating Strike when it offers its broadside. Standard Atago gameplay is to play at 9.5km (full concealment it goes down to 9km of concealment) and kite. Instead of playing with the DPM and shooting as soon as you have reloaded, you shot only once every 20-23 seconds to blink with the concealment. And dropping 10km torpedoes behind toward enemies pushing. Good ship, but requires some experience in IJN CAs. Still not that hard to do decent with it however. As other IJN CAs, it's not very good at carrying the team and contesting objectives, but it's a very good support ship and can do damage quite easily to anything. Also, Atago is quite boring to play when the enemy team is camping, especially in tier X. Well, you can extend that to most tier 8. MOST IMPORTANTLY : stop buying premium for now. Seriously. Learn the game and grind a standard tier 8 FIRST AND FOREMOST. You didn't go higher than tier IV with standard ships. You WILL fail if you continue like that.
