Dunkerque and Graff Spee Captain Skills 0.6.0
Sams_Baneblade replied to CommanderCorrigan's topic in General Discussion
For now, I have PM-EM-VIGI-CE, the 10 pts captain I earned (which is also shared with my Konig Albert). Next ones will probably be AFT-BoS/SI-AR I'll see how it behaves when I'll use them in PVP (my computer is too unreliable for now, PVP consumes too much resources). -
Captain Skills Distribution Guide for 0.6.0
Sams_Baneblade replied to Kurbain's topic in General Discussion
Sorry, it seems I screwed up during the copy-paste process . *facepalm* For the last two ships, I was in reality planning: Belfast: PM, LS, AR, VIGI, SI, CE and IFHE Kamikaze: PM, LS, SE, TAE, CE and either RPF+AR or SI+VIGI Does IFHE is sufficient to deal decent damage to armoured targets without DE? Because I really hate to get my a*** torpedoed in smoke (=> Vigi). Seen I have Hydro, should I use it during smoke duration or get VIGI and keep Hydro for offensive manoeuvers? Thanks in advance.- 90 replies

Captain Skills Distribution Guide for 0.6.0
Sams_Baneblade replied to Kurbain's topic in General Discussion
I would need a piece of advice, please... Might this be suitable for a Blyska? If yes, in which order for T3-4? http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/01000000001000010000100100001001 (I tend to spam a lot at range and often get caugh by torps when I smoke-camp) I thought to this for my Belfast. RPF seems a bit expensive for me, as it already gets insane camo and a bunch of anti-DD consumables, If yes, in which order? http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/01000000001000010000100100001001 (Played similarly to the Blyska) Finally, for my Kamikaze and jap torpedoboats http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/01000000001000010000100100001001- 90 replies

Captain Skills Distribution Guide for 0.6.0

I'd like to see builds for specific ships.. Like for the Belfast or a full secondaries Scharnhorst Good job. EDIT: it seems you forgot about the existence of Preventive Maintenance and Emergency Takeoff. Or is it intentionnal?- 90 replies

Whoops. I wrote flags instead of camos. I'm a bit tired
-
Tried my luck one last time with 10 boxes. Half of them contained scamflags. Now I have 1200 of them. 4 others boxes were 10 Ocean's Fool camos. -_-
-
Got A LOT of them about (870). Very disappointed everytime 75-100 of those popped. I'll slap them on my non-premium ships. 100 Zulu flags is much better (about 1050). Still no rare premium in Santa's boxes.

Do you want more pre-dreadnoughts?
Sams_Baneblade replied to puxflacet's topic in General Discussion
Here are my proposals to make it balanced: Option 1: give it secondary range of 5km. With AFT, it could reach 6km and if accuracy is balanced correctly, it could be enjoyable (think about the Warspite/Scharnhorst's secondary battery). Range could be even greater (9.5km for the 152mm, think Bismarck). But with a terrible accuracy at that range and small targets, it would mainly be used to spam an area, land a few hits and discourage opponent to push, becoming lethal only if the ennemy comes close. Option 2: make the 152mm count as main battery, with the same 9.5km range as the 305, but also the same terrible accuracy. This, coupled to their 10s reload, would roughly have the same effect as the Option 1: "spam the area, something will end up hitting the target". Destroyers would still have fair chances against it. -
Bought 12 boxes => crapload of flags, camo and 30 days prem account. Played, got a supercontainer => Kutuzov. Lol?

Premium Ship Review - Mikhail Kutuzov
Sams_Baneblade replied to LittleWhiteMouse's topic in General Discussion
Huehuehue Same here until today. I had a handful of supercontainers by the times they were common, but they only contained: 250 anti-detonation flags, 250 +1% fire chance flags, 50k freepex and stuff. All the rest were 5× flags. Bought 10 santa boxes, got a sh*tload of flags and 30 days of premium account. And when all hope was lost, this, free. (oh, irony) -
Happy New Year! And thanks to WG

Just got one for free in a supercontainer. 2017 begins well. -
Sims and Yuubari back in the shop
Sams_Baneblade replied to Robber_Baron's topic in General Discussion
Strangely enough, the Yubari is one of my favourite and best performing ships, with 48k average. -
It would be cool if we could choose to mount them or not. Ofc, something would have to be removed when torps are mounted, not to make the ship silly OP. (one of the consumables, per example) So you can vary the Belfast's gameplay.

My third container ever. Choosed supercontainer. Not a Blyskawica/Operator/Gremy, but not exploding is still welcome. ;) -
1. Description 20% of my loading times now take forever (10 minutes), while 50% are long-ish or 30% normal. 2. Reproduction steps 1) Select any ship. 2) Press Battle (Happens more often in PVP) 3) Wait. And wait again. 3. Result I cannot participate to the beginning of the game and sometimes, I'll stay afk for its whole duration. I HATE it. 4. Expected result Loading the game => playing the game => having fun, xp and stats 5. Technical details Happens randomly. After those kind of very long waiting ties, the port is also very slow to load and the next games are slow to load. My computer is crap, but I never had problems before. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PS: My ship also began to fly up and down, after my ship was sunk while loading the game. Happened once. Screenshot 1 Screenshot 2 Leningrad sooooo stronk it defies gravity.
-
1 game over 2 in PVP takes several minutes to load. Sometimes, I lose the connexion right after that long wait. And relaunching results in.. another infinite wait. Never had this before, no connexion problems. No way I play WoWS with that crap.

"WHAT? Are you mad!?" Let me explain. The current situation, a problem: Tier 4 CVs are farming hard because very few Tier 3 and 4 ships have the slighliest chance to down those pesky planes. Moreover, newbies aren't used yet to dodge torpedoes: they heavily suffer under DD's action and the newly encountered torpedo walls dropped by TBs. Those mechanics are indeed unforgiving and frustrating for the newcomer. Implementation / gameplay: Of course, making planes encounterable one Tier earlier seems silly, as ships would have even less AA. This I why I think plane tenders like the Chitose or the Kamikawa Maru would be perfect Tier 3 CV candidates: -their squadrons would be composed of fighters and bombers. No torpedo bombers, thus less dangerous for ships. Still able to dish some damage, but in a way that makes the lack of AA armement less of a problem. -they could be balanced so they are more efficient vs flying targets than they are versus surface targets. Exemple: balancing their fighters so they able to seriously harm Langley/Hosho's squadrons in a duel. -reduced number of squadrons so they are easier to play: -2 squadrons of 3-4 fighters or 1 squadron of 6 -1 squadron of 4-6 bombers -both of the quoted plane tenders had a stock of 24 planes, which allows the player to get some losses without having his game ruined. -Premiums or regular is at devs' choice. (Personnaly, I'd go for premium ) Hoped impact on the meta: -to give carriers players material to learn the easy way -to give Tier 4 carriers something to worry about and prevent their domination in Tier 4 games, without downtiering the problem. -to slowly accustom the players to the presence of a threat from the sky, without learning the hard way (devastating strikes in their face) -to spot the the pesky DDs that ambush unwary newbies and to limit their proliferation (the DD spam on Tier 2-3 is quite something. Also, spot xp) Of course, this is my humble opinion. What are your thoughts about this idea? Would it work?

The game needs Tier 3 carriers/seaplane tenders
Sams_Baneblade replied to Sams_Baneblade's topic in General Discussion
Unfortunately, this carrier would be the exact opposite of my proposal: torpedoes one Tier lower and zero air supremacy against Tier 4 CV. Maybe if other Tier 3 CVs are implemented along with it... It looks awesome, tho. Thanks There is material for plenty of nations, then. So WG has no reason not implementing them. Doesn't the issue come mainly from the fact it would be super hard to play them, because you'd have to play a ship with guns AND planes, and to control your squadrons at the same time you'll have to shoot? (+key bindings) About the mechanics, the two seaplanes tenders I quoted were equipped with catapults similar to those found on IJN cruisers (which launch floatplanes). Take the same visual effects as when cruiser floatplanes take off/land, then make the seaplanes form CV squadrons after the said take-off et voilà. For what I worked on video games, it's just basically re-using existing mechanics and adding a small visual translation. Probably much easier than adding AA on turret roofs But overall, I really like your support class idea, as it would create a whole new and unique class, not only limited to Tier 3. Have a +1 from me. (as long as they'd keem some anti-CV measures not to be victims) -
Hey guys, Seen we have free tanks in WoT and we got Albany last year, I was expecting to see a free and crappy lolship appearing in my port this weekend. (A port slot for some ;) ) Anyone else feels a bit disappointed? Or do you think it might come if WG wins a Gamescom Award?
