Hello guys, I don't have a lot of experience in DDs.. Do you have any particular recommendation about its gameplay, equipment and captain skills (also for IJN DDs)?

Just received their email with the code. Thanks

Statistics galore - State of WoWS (update #3 - premium ships)
Sams_Baneblade replied to Crysantos's topic in General Discussion
Hello, Good idea, I am curious to see the global stats of the BattleTurd. ;) Will you add rare stuff like the Tachibana, Diana (IMO, a bit OP), Marblehead, Albany and Arkansas Beta? (And will you update your post once the Atago will receive the buff announced in 0.5.1?) Keep doing a good job. -
Okay.. So I take a screenshot of the purchase confirmation mail? And I send it to pcgamer.giftageddon@futurenet.com with a "I purchased... can I have the ship?" message? Thanks in advance.

I purchased the digital version yesterday in the AppStore (Android). But I don't really know how I'll get my code, nor when, nor if there is a limited amount of codes available.. I hope I did nothing wrong and all will be fine..

I just looked on the website and it says... Tier VIII.. :/ Also, on this leak and on those in-game pictures (bottom of both pages). If those leaks are true, I can't believe WG thought it could fit at that Tier. It is inferior to the Tier 7 Myoko, and complete garbage compared to Atago and Mogami. If it's a huge display mistake, all is ok.

4 point captain skill for IJN Destoyer
Sams_Baneblade replied to viceadmiral123's topic in General Discussion
Soooooo, if the calculation is exact.. The distance a Tachibana will be spotted is 7,7km. With the AFT skill, it will shoot at 8.04km. It won't have a comfortable invisi-shoot distance, with only 340m. Damnit. Unless I go for Concealment Expert too (not to be spotted before 6.93 km, giving 1.11km safe distance). But CE means no Last Stand skill. Crap, difficult choice. Thank you very much for the info -
4 point captain skill for IJN Destoyer
Sams_Baneblade replied to viceadmiral123's topic in General Discussion
Right now, I'm thinking about which skill I could choose for my IJN DDs.. And one thing popped in my mind: an IJN Tachibana with advanced firing training (and maybe concealment expert). Reminder: -5,4km base concealment (best in game) -6,7km base gun range (so around 8 whith the skill) -Four torpedo tubes with a 5km range -Five 76mm guns, shooting each 12 rpm with 65m dispersion and 6% fire chance. -No planes to spot it So in theory, a nasty spammer which can stay out of sight, to pwn people. Do you think that it's viable? (I want to use the captain for regular DDs too) However, I don't know if concealment loss is influenced by gun caliber and so I don't know what will be the invisi-shoot margin. (And if I'll really need the concealment expert skill). If you have any info.. Thanks for reading. -
Ranked battles and premium ships.
Sams_Baneblade replied to Hannibalurg's topic in General Discussion
There are also good players buying premiums and which makes good use of them. And banning premiums would be a bad new for them. On the other hand, there are noobs grinding regular lines. They're useless, but they still earn some xp and you'll meet them in battle. So I really don't see why all the people who pay (so the others can play for free) couldn't join a battle mode with their ship. If you don't want noobs, just make a poll to ban them. But don't put all the premiums players in the same bag. :/ Anyway, player's performances will reflect on their winrate. Noobs will get 44% wr and very good players will get more than And by the fact you win/lose a star each time you win/lose (after a certain level), it means that on the long term, noobs will tend to lose stars and to stay at the early rank, while good ones will earn stars, getting slowly more and more of them (and thus reach the higher ranks). -
I said nothing. I thought the "original plane" meant "original plane from the Omaha". And it turns out the Vought OS2U is... an american SCOUT PLANE.So all is fine, Murmy can still spam HE at 21km away and is still broken as hell.

Just read on Armored Patrol blog that according to devs: "The mikasa turned out to be so bad it won't be sold on RU at all." Soooo.. Thanks for the great offer where the EU customer had the chance to pay first to see if the ship sucks or not, but now, could you give it a buff so the filthy capitalists who bought it won't have regrets spending money in your games, please? (It could be done by a lot of ways)

WoWS – Version 0.5.0.1 Patchnotes (from the Armored Patrol Blog) Cruiser Murmansk: КОР-2 catapult spotter changed for “original” Vought OS2U Noooooo Why u do dis, Weirdgaming? See below

I want Jack and Rose at the prow of my ship. And that tragic ending when my ship sinks.

Now, imagine aiming an ennemy, with a Diana with Tier 4 firing skill. ^^ Stronk skill needed to aim an ennemy which is out of your screen. Joke apart, I suppose the lower shell speed also makes AP ammo less efficient..
-
I have both and I have to say the Diana is better thanks to it's huge range advantage. In fact, it shoots the farthest among all the Tier 1-3 ships. It also has the same HP pool as the Aurora (Tier 3). Howerver, I has some drawbacks over the Albany: less armor, less ROF (7 rpm instead of 8.6), poor turret rotation and a ridiculously high shell arc, which makes the shots fly for a longer duration. Finally, you can't angle yourself if you want to shoot the rear gun. The Albany feels more comfortable, but the gun range is really crippling. With at least 8km, it could compete, but well...

I am really sad I won't get it, as it looks very good. But I can't pay such a price for another pixel vehicle sold with a bunch of useless stuff (30 days premium! Yepeeee!), even if it'a great machine. Especially if the money goes to a company known for milking EU players while not being as generous with them as with the others, that said they won't unify gold/doubloons between WoT and WoWS and that removed a lot of maps for low Tier tanks. Right now, they don't deserve it. I have the Sims (meh), the Murmansk (due to being OP, it will probably be retired), the Diana, the Ark Beta and the Warspite and I'm happy with those

Arkansas Beta Turret Traverse: 0.4.1 Hidden Nerf
Sams_Baneblade replied to xCaptainObviousx's topic in Battleships
Crap. Armored Patrol was wrong, so. -
Arkansas Beta Turret Traverse: 0.4.1 Hidden Nerf
Sams_Baneblade replied to xCaptainObviousx's topic in Battleships
But doesn't the ROF of the Wyoming got nerfed in the last patch? (Saw it on Armored Patrol blog. From 2 to 1.8, I think) For what concerns ROF, the Ark B seems untouched, which is nice. Anyone can confirm? -
Account unification, doubloons not to be shared between titles.
Sams_Baneblade replied to Tobblish's topic in General Discussion
Just in case gold will never be unified, I won't buy anything until I get new information. If they unify, I'll look for good deals. Otherwise, NOT A CENT will go to WG games any more. (I already gave up on WoT since the 9.10 map repartition) -
Calm down.. Saying it has no chance when meeting 3-4 St Louis doensn't necessarily means it's bad. It's like saying any Tier 1 in WoT is crap because it couldn't carry in Tier 2 battles full of pre-nerf T18. Or Tiers 5 vs old Hellcats and KV-1S. The problem is the St Louis spam itself. That needs to be fixed. No Tier 2 (except skilled DDs) can deal with a St Louis while this silly shot-spamming fortress can cause heavy damages to anything it encounters...

I see a lot of people complaining it kinda sucks... But please remember this thing has INSANE hp with heavy armor and deadly secondaries. So it is somewhat normal the (high caliber) main guns are limited in efficiency. Otherwise, NOTHING would stand a chance, at range or up close. (Note that now, the guns are much better when the target is closer. Me gusta.) It is alsmost unbeatable under 3km, except for DDs and Tier 3 BB shooting AP at the right place. The ship in itself is ok, but just not adapted to the meta at it's Tier. (as in: slow reload, slow ship, biggest target available which gets spotted early, exclusively close ranged while others can just shoot while staying away) "yeah, but it is outclassed by Tier 3, it should be MM +0" It has a preferential MM for a Battleship, limited to +1. Those Kawachis you fight have a MM+3, so they meet Warspites and Clevelands while you don't even see Wyomings. Not a that bad deal. ;) So yes, it's more like a powerful lolship than a über rape machine, but it can hold it's ground very well in the right situation. #TOGLIFE. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyone tried trying to play it in a division with 1-2 Chikumas/Dianas and/or 1-2 DDs? If yes, does it shows any interresting result? Any feedback is welcome.

Hello Captains I have the Murmansk, I got a Diana code and I am planning to get the Aurora when it will be on sales. Ofc, I'll also play russian paperships when they will come. And I was asking myself if: a) it would be wise to train a single captain for those three (as they are all long-range ships, but the Murmansk being much faster, with torps) and: b) which skills I could use to boost as much as possible all of those three little wonders. Any advice about modifications I should perform/ about your possible builds is welcome, thanks in advance.

Thanks for the advices. For the second slot, I first used the Gun Fire Control Mod 1. (But maybe I'll change it one day.) Thanks to the new update which displays new values, I saw maximum dispersion went from 226m to 204. Does it seems interresting anyway? I also read on a blog that the Warspite is the ONLY battleship to treat heavy damages/citadel hits as light damages for what concerns the Repair Party. So she can always regenerate the max HP value of her ability. So improving his regen ability sounds like a great deal. ^^

The new torps change it's gameplay a bit and are welcome, but they're too slow and weak.. IMO the Sims should be downtiered a but (and some gold as a compensation) to make it competitive, especially gun-wise.
-
The fact it is more accurate at close ranges? Yes, It feels a lot better.. However, I still miss stupidly some shots thanks to RNG and it's frustrating because I miss the ennemy for only 2-3 meters. ^^' However, I did some PvE battles with it and lost 3 times my engine while receiving lone 152mm shells and once my steering gears, which happened rarely before.. I also burned quicklier. Bad luck or you had the same problem? Edit: I did a first battle where I missed by 2-3m up close and a second where I hit reliably at 6-7km range... 0.0
