Slightly offtopic but ramming damage is pretty heavy on this game, I've noticed. So the idea of cruiser ramming a BB could work. I had a game with Myogi and rammed another one. I died from over 30k health while she lost her remaining 5..
Furutaka feels super sluggish after Kuma. In my eyes it's like a battleship-cruiser hybrid, with some torps to give a kick. But the torps range is pretty limited. Best use for them is to sneak attack at someone in late-game, I'd figure. Or to nuke a carrier, if you can get to them.
Gun performance is similar to BB's. Big, slowturning guns with long'ish reload.
Don't know about AA or armor. Just that I get citadel'd more often than in Kuma.
