    this would be my guess. I once earnt 750k with the atlanta which I thought was awesome until I realised it included 500k from a boot camp mission.

    Normally I'm an advocate of it being the launcher 's fault. Usually it's because they get launched from a long way back with other people in the way, in which case it's totally the second line torp's fault Did see a weird one though - 2 destroyers were having a furball/dogfight about 4km apart in a cap. They were both low tier ijn so they were both trying to.torp each other, switching directions, circling each other etc. A friendly cruiser then decided to "help" by sailing directly into the middle of this. He got torpd by the friendly dd. Now you could argue that the destroyer should have been watching the minimap and seen the cruiser coming and held his fire. But you could also argue that the dd was probably pre-occupied with the 4km knife fight going on and didn't expect the cruiser to do something quite so dumb.

    Ship XP and Elite status

    15/18 point captains aren't fast. They take a long time. But I feel WoT takes longer (although arguably having 6 skills per crew could then equate to a lot more different skills on a tank if they all took individual ones instead of brothers in arms/camo). However 1/3 point captains are instant in this. And a 6 point captain is a handful of games. A ten point captain is about 40 games on a premium ship with premium account. After 10 points it becomes a longer grind to get to 15 for the 5th skill. So no, atm 15 points is not fast. But the combination of premium ship + premium time + accelerated training (all xp goes to.captain) would make that fast. The people that would benefit the most would be people with premium ships, which would push them towards p2w

    Crusiers Radar - Changes Needed

    How many radars do you usually encounter per game? Given that it's only US/USSR cruisers tier 8+ (and indianapolis), there's usually only 0-2 per team. As they have a huge cool down (4-6 minutes) they're not that frequently either. More options for consumables is always good. There's the torp reload consumable which replaces smoke, which is currently only on 2 ships (hatsuhara and kagero), might be interesting if other destroyers had this to choose from

    I liked the fact you could pick your prizes that was nice. I want to say I liked the fact there was missions for all different types of players - "pro" players with the high xp, people who play lots with the number of battles etc. However what of course happend was most people tried doing all of them, and complained that they couldn't play 500 battles/get 3250xp. I liked the fact none of the missions were gimmicky. Some of the tank missions in WoT required very specific, sometime highly rare circumstances. End result was everyone tried achieving these. So months of arty trying to shoot scouts going 60kmph. I think the "it's a secret" was a bad idea. Some people started making assumptions what it was, and then got annoyed/disappointed when it wasn't what they'd thought it was. If things are clear and open then they can't complain about what the prize is. The kamakaze missions you could earn more pearls than was needed to unlock the top prize. This meant I got my kamakaze R by completing most of the missions instead of all. For this, since you needed 1000 diamonds meant you needed everything, unless you wanted to go on social media. This meant as soon as it started I knew I wouldn't complete it - I have 2 kids and wife as well as job. I managed nearly 200 battles which for me is far more than I'd normally play. There's no way I'd manage 500. I managed all of the weekly missions, but I think I'd have divorce papers if I tried playing 15 battles a day. I think the missions should be feasible for your "average" player - so no really high Base XP, or umpteen hundred battles played. The 100k XP per week only using Base XP was hard. And the rewards of 20 diamonds was low. Never managed this any week. One week I got 93k, but this was the closest I got.

    Especially if the cruiser thinks you're focused on the BB and decides to go in a lazy straight line. Like many others, if the cruiser is enough of a threat, and there's a reasonable chance I can either kill it or hit it enough it'll run off then I'll do that. If I can kill the BB instead then I'll do that, but if the BB is over half health and angled then it'll be kill the cruiser first then return to.deal with the BB. Same applies to a low health DD that pops up that I have a reasonable chance of hitting/killing if no one else is shooting it

    These have been there a little while - I've had the Japanese zipangu port for the last week or so, I just assumed it came in an earlier update that I'd missed the notes for. The cherry blossom petals blowing in the wind is very relaxing though

    Dismissing Arpeggio captains

    The problem is if you unlock the captain but not the ship then they take up one of your reserve slots. -You can't dismiss them -You can't choose to not receive them -You can't choose to not participate in the mission -If you don't have the ship (and since it's a one off, will never be able to) then you can't put them anywhere either This is quite irritating.
  9. Having the extra time to complete the global missions is nice and all, except they don't register properly. 10 games in the last 2 days, only 4 registered. Done the usual wait, log out and in etc etc.

    A mission is probably the most likely. At no point have they said it's a ship, or that it's big, or even that it's worth aiming for. Given that all the other milestones simply unlock missions that are akin to the boot camp ones or the X2 weekends then something along those lines is the most likely.

    Well it depends on what you were expecting to receive. Personally, given that it was going to be something that everyone would receive (as all the milestones applied to everyone who signed up regardless of their level of involvement), then I didn't expect it to be anything huge. I was expecting a x3 bonus event to be honest. If you were expecting a free ship then that seems a bit optimistic IMO especially since that would be the sort of thing they'd usually advertise, and that you'd get it if you'd done the smallest mission (play 10 battles) Now don't get wrong, I'll quite happily take a free ship if it's going, but the people expecting to receive a free bismark have slightly unreasonable expectations. Especially since at no point has it ever been stated that it's something big

    OP has a point though. If you're pink, you get further penalised if there's any team damage, so if you're in a nice slow BB and a destroyer decides to crash into you then you get further penalised. Division mate found this when he was a nagato and on his last game pink a cruiser decided to rear end him. Currently it seems the best bet is to pick the fastest ship possible and stay as far away from team mates as possible.
  14. Well if it's an extra that's not too bad - here's the stuff for 12m, and as a bonus have even more stuff if you hit 15m that's OK. If however they've moved the goalposts to just be 15m that's bad form. However we don't know what the 12m one was anyway - it may well be pretty naff
  15. Well the event page says it's over. But the tally doesn't read 12m. But the milestones has the 12m mission completed. Annoyingly I was 13 battles away from what I needed which is rather irritating as I thought I had till the 8th to do this (as per the original article)
  16. Do the permanent missions still work? I played 2 battles last night which didn't add to the total. It's not a huge loss, but 13 more battles and I can have some more stuff

    for Wows I've never used any mods. I once had it stuck on the loading screen and could watch the battle going on via the mission mini map you get while loading. I crashed the game and reloaded and it loaded me straight in, so it's not only mods that cause odd things.

    Well if it was a standard battle the usual tactic for most teams is to defend their base, since it's usually easier to kill the enemy as they arrive one by one. Which is why personally it's the most boring, and domination is much more interesting. Sitting at the back camping is boring, but sailing off on your own is pointless - you'll clearly die quickly to no avail. Unfortunately currently with standard battles attacking has no benefit until late game while defending does.

    Personally I don't mind the good players that try to organise the team, and can appreciate why they get frustrated when people do really derpy stuff. The ones I dislike are the wannabe pro's that think their 52% WR makes them unicum and rage at their team constantly that they're not carried to victory.

    The test server isn't a great indication, because most people don't play properly there. No one cares about repair bills, and people try out random stuff. Also a large portion of people try out tier X when they're much lower level in the live server. For example I tried out the yamato with full secondaries to see how much damage they could do. So I charged full speed into the nearest cap to see how long the yamato would survive, and if full spec secondaries were any better.

    I'm not fussed by destroyers, they're not OP to me. I also don't really have too much of a problem if there are lots per side - had good games with 6/7 per side. However, I would agree with a cap on DD simply because if half of the players are invisible then it doesn't make for a particularly exciting match. I like seeing shells flying everywhere, fire raging etc. I love seeing AA firing away etc. If a large portion of the players are invisible (and determined to stay invisible) then you don't get this cinematic raging firefight. You instead get the game of sailing around waiting for the next set of red triangles to appear. From a destroyers point of view, ambushing someone who's distracted by their gunfight/planes is easier. If there's none of that going on then all your opponent is doing is dodging torps. I'd like to see a nice mix - The ideal game for me is 2 carriers, 2 battleships, 2 destroyers and 6 cruisers. I find these games are the most fun. However to get this you need as many cruiser players as all the other classes put together so it's unusual to get this.

    Had the CV bug happen in a game. Friendly carrier couldn't land his planes. Seems to be tied to putting out a fire, but them still not landing. Literally rendered our carrier useless

    American battleships can be annoying to shoot at because large parts of the front and back sections don't have armour, so shells overpen if they hit too far forward or too far back. Obviously anything that hits superstructure will also over pen. If they're angled a bit then the shell can go through enough ship to trigger, but if they're completely broadside then shots to the fore/aft will probably over pen

    Pensacola - should be a tier 6.

    Just finished pensacola grind today. Took 40 battles, ended with 65% win rate. Seems OK to me.
