I dont know what WG is thinking, really ... Normally I already would have purchased my usual x-mas gifts in form of some nice ships and boxes for me and my wows-kohai (my daughter). But it seems, WG is dedicated to piss us veteran whales off. Flint was already a very bad job Missouri was a desaster Black ... First time since beta I did not invest a good amount of real money into my ships. So sad and frustrating

DeGrasse is a fine ship, a little bit powercrept over the course of time, but still a very good T6 light cruiser and an excellent trainer for french cruisers in general. Reminds me that i havent played it for a long time

Hafenleiche ist genau der passende Ausdruck ... Ist ja nun wirklich kein grundsätzlich schlechtes Schiff, besonders die Flak ist gar nicht so übel, aber im random einfach viel zu anstrengend. Da hab ich serienweise 8er mit denen das besser geht. Wenn man im britischen Zweig was zum zum Leveln und Kapitänstraining holen möchte, gibts da beispielsweise ne Belfast 43. Die ist definitiv auch nicht OP, aber wesentlich vielseitiger einsetzbar und mit erheblich mehr Potential. Wie man sieht, fahr ich beide nicht übermäßig viel, aber wenn man einen britischen 8er Premium sucht, wüsste ich nicht viel, was für die Chesire spricht. Muß ich leider so sagen. Eigentlich total schade, daß man da draus nicht einen eigenen Zweig gemacht hat. Nach der Nürnberg den Split zu den beiden Yorck-Varianten und von den Weimar zur Mainz. Was drüber kommt kann natürlich nur reine Phantasie sein, aber da wär mit Sicherheit was gegangen. Sehr schade

Same here. 5 matches yesterday and twice double CV. One was a T6/T8 combo, one was a double T8 CV game. To make things worse, the reds had in addition to 2 T8 CV a Kearsage, so basically 3 CV. This is utter b***sh**, really

Prinzipiell ähnlich bei mir. Ich glaube mal bei einem Streamer gehört zu haben (Flamu ?), daß Weimar als "alter" Entwurf (aká Yorck light) die "alte" Munition hat und Mainz als "neues" Schiff (aká Hipper light) neuere/bessere Granaten. Auf jeden Fall kommen wenig Feuer bei rum, daß kann man glaube ich schon nach den paar Gefechten sagen. Aber direkter Schaden geht wie immer wegen der deutschen HE-Regel sehr gut, sogar gegen T9 BB. Wichtig ist, man muß halt hoch ansetzen, dann scheppert das ordentlich in den Aufbauten und auf ganz kurze Entfernung gehen Bug und Heck auch. (Hatte ich aber nur einen kurzen Versuch bevor mich die JeanBart ins Jenseits gepustet hat ) In der München ist es wesentlich schweren wegen der Bogenflugbahnen die gute Reichweite auszunutzen und daß die München schon beim schräg angucken Zitas frisst ist ja sprichwörtlich. Bin trotzdem ganz zufrieden beide zu haben, mit einem guten Kapitän machen sie beide Spaß. Jedes auf seine Art. Edit: muss mich korrigieren ... Wiki sagt, Mainz und Weimar haben die gleichen Schadenswerte (1700 / 3900). Nur München hat - warum auch immer - schwächere AP (1700 / 3750) und langsamere Granaten. (875 m/s zu 960 m/s)

Situativ ... es sind halt auch nur 17 km mit dem Spotter. Ist jetzt nicht der Brüller. Kann man aber mit arbeiten. Nicht ganz so komfortabel wie zB mit Lazo oder Schors, aber besser mit Weimar und Spotter als München ohne. Werd die nächsten Spiele mal immer abwechselnd mit Schors und Lazo spielen. Bin wieder mal schwach geworden, Coupon eingelöst und in den Hafen gestellt. ^^ Mal paar schnelle Gefechte zum einfahren: also einfacher zu fahren als die München ist sie nicht, aber man hat definitiv mehr Feuerkraft und mehr Potential. 1 km oder 1,5 km mehr Reichweite und das Ding wäre göttlich. Man muss die erste Hälfte des Spiels überleben, dann kann man in der zweiten Hälfte richtig abräumen. Basically not a bad idea, but it still would fall back behind a radar ChungMu and that is no incentive to make it worth the investment. Your suggestion plus better Torpedoes (standard Fletcher torps e.g.), because the floating seamines were kind of trade for the strong radar-smoke-combo. Edit: or better usable torps if there is any other variation I do not come to think of right now

Sure, you have a point there, no doubt. But: we do have a Fletcher with Radar + no smoke, that is ChungMu. You hardly see any of them because its difficult to make that work. RadarChungMu is not the fastest, not the stealtiest, has no heal and no overwhelming healthpool. I let DWtorps out of this comparison. A Black tuned this way would not be worth the steel/coal for me. But maybe other people see that point differently. Tweaking the softstats is the only way to keep Blacks special nature imo. Lets see how this will work out eventually

Honestly, why should anyone invest coal into Black without that special combination of radar and smoke ? Without that combo its just a Fletcher, slightly modified maybe, but still a Fletcher. All these Premiums and Freemiums need something to make you invest, coal, steel, money, whatsoever. Neustrashimy is special Z-44 is special Groningen definitely is special And that should be it at T9. There are already some interesting variants of the Fletcher class ingame: Kidd at T8 is truely special and fun Fletcher itself is free and still fun ChungMu is a true Fletcher with different torps and its free So what is a Black without its combo ... ?

Exactly ... ^^ The difference is: with the newer premiumships you got a warning and you knew what you were doing if you bought it. When i invested my preciuos steel into Black, there was no hint it could be nerfed anytime in near future. So If Borodino loses its radar, it was my personal fault to invest money in it. Cant comply with that. I was promised a T9 DD with specific and special abilities and not a "normal" or "Standard" T9 DD. Nobody would invest steel into a standard ship. If you buy Borodino, you buy the special combo of a weak armored BC with powerful guns plus a radar. Take the radar away - because of reasons - its not the ship anymore that was advertised. I got Black for steel, my first steelship. As I am not doing any CW or hardly any ranked, steel is a very rare ressource for me. Nerfing the ship I got for my preciuos steel would really piss me off. I ever have been a dedicated whale, just for the sake of loving ships. Just dont want to think about the question, how much money this obsession costs me. Missourigate already was a serious blow. A Black-Gate would end my interests for sure. Would be very sad

I am sitting in the same spot, almost. 1. PR grind was hard, I invested 3 goldbooster, got some gold back so PR cost me maybe 60,- €. Absolutely worth it for me 2. Odin was not bad too. Since I have Odin, I prefer it it over Tirpitz 3. Anchorage was an absolutely must-have for me, being a cruiser main player. US CA with smoke ? Anytime 4. ZF-6 was the first to skip for me. I am just not the DD fan 5. Hizen was not fun anymore. I pulled through the grind but in the end it drained me and the ship is relegated to Coop-duty with a secondary build (actually fun vs the bots ^^) 6.
