You are entirely wrong. As plenty of people have mentioned all you really need is 1 (maybe 2) boats to be in the right place to help the RAF planes out and then the mission largely wins itself. You can learn that easily and then you can be the person that single-handedly ensures that you have a comfortable and easy time in the game. That is pretty much the definition of influencing a game. If me and 2 randoms can get 5* after 4 team mates die in the first 1/3 of the game then anyone can.

Did my first game in the Gallant and whilst I was effective with the torp boats and got a few planes shot down, my 3 point captain wasn't ideal to help with the AA. Got 1 star. Second run I took out the Anthony and it was dead easy despite having 3 people sail into the minefield. THREE. Idiots. They all went into bottom of the small minefield so died perhaps 50% of the way through the game. Not sure how our 4th DD died but we basically had me and 2 others for the second half of the game - I actually got dive bombed down to 39 health but they didn't bother me after that. The important bit of the mission is to make sure that at least 1, preferably 2 Anthonys are in place to defend the friendly fighter wave - if they survive then you have a) probably completed the fighter squadrons objective and b) they will get the remaining DB/TB kills which gets that objective but also keeps your convoy safe. EDIT: I want to really draw attention to the fact that with only 3 ships for half the battle we got 5 stars - for those who are saying it is hard you just need to plan ahead more (see above paragraph)

Problem is you cannot control who comes into your smoke. and sitting behind it might work for some DDs but certainly won't for RN cruisers.

Nelson moving to a premium makes me absolutely [edited]furious. I would have much preferred the 14" KGV heading to premium. Could have even made Rodney as premium version of the Nelson class at a later date if they had really wanted to.

Haha, well I have no chance to reach rank 1 like that but it is stress free. I have got to rank 11 so far with no stress and I only got to rank 10 last time around. By the way, anyone know when ranked finishes? I even tried googling but since WG EU didn't even announce the start I'm not sure how long it runs for?

Gremy was OP. Then they removed stealth fire. I think I have played 1 game in her after they removed stealth fire.

Warspite is a beast. I haven't been playing ranked much but I'm at rank 12 from 12 games played with a 75% wr which is 9 wins and 2 top-of-team losses (and 1 loss in the Cleveland which was my first ranked game and my only lost star). Fuso has to be strong at this tier as well and was my go to ship in the few previous ranked seasons where 6 was a lower level bracket, but I can't make myself get out of the Warspite when she is performing this well.

You perhaps see 1 person using it every 2-3 games. Slightly more prevalent at higher tiers, but to be expected since you probably need a lvl 14 captain (at least) to use it. I have it on a small number of ships that I rarely play (only IJN/USN DDs). It never was the big deal everyone said it was going to be and that was proved to be true within days of the patch release.

Nope and never. Didn't sell any of my t10 tanks in WoT either. I have never really struggled for credits, and would rather play a few premium games than sell a t10 even if I never played it. On top of that I never sell any ship that is not elited. I might not play it for months and months but it only gets sold when it is finished. This means I have only ever re-bought a handful of ships, and this has been for unforeseen reasons such as ranked and operations.

I bought her. Less than £10 is a cheap price for her and I had always been on the fence about buying her before.

I've been playing at most 2 games a day in ranked but often less. Only played 9 battles. Won 6. Lost 3 (kept star for 2 of them). The only star I have lost is my very first game when I took out the Cleve and got deleted like a noob. Since then, my Warspite has been unstoppable with the 6 wins and 2 top-of-team losses. I try and promote team play and coordination, but at the same time I strap on my shoulder pads and try do some carrying. It is really easy to get a high caliber in Warpsite and pretty easy to ensure you are top on a losing team.

Ranked carry. 2 CQE (on both the DDs).

I've only played 4 games so far and won 3. Not sure that qualifies me to say too much, but I will say don't play when you are tired/grumpy. I sometimes play in the mornings before work and then early evening but I refuse to play after 9pm as I start losing more and getting pissed off about it. Also, if you get on a bad run just sack it off, come back tomorrow - fighting to reverse it will likely just push you further into a spiral. Don't change ships too much - you need to get into your stride and swapping too much doesn't help with that.

Not really. Mogami you just bait his def AA into a cooldown. Izumo, Yamato and FdG could all be hit pretty hard but with losses.

I feel I have to call out what is at best misinformation and at worst a bare faced lie. It isn't even making assumptions about what they maybe could and couldn't do - they did it already for the exact same camo for the exact same ship.

Only tried it once this morning and got 3*s. We failed to keep the support ship alive - I don't think it took much damage from gunfire or anything, but it ate a torp within the first 2 mintues from the initial DD that spawns and then ate another later on that finished it off. Then later on the Raptor made it to the extraction before us as our full health Graf Spee and Fuso essentially let it. They had sat next to it, behind the island (unable to fire or be fired at) and watched the rest of us take all the fire and die.

I am sure that when Texas was first released it had no flag camo - that came later on and was purchased separately... for dubloons. If my memory isn't failing me how come it now technically difficult to do something that you have already done? Can't see any reason to spend my hard earned money on this. Shame, as she is a nice looking CV. I will wait for the Gallant.
