I've had it twice but the first time wasn't on North. First game I was in my Saipan and I knew roughly where the enemy was still. We won. Second game was on North but our team was already doing crap before the Cyclone and when that appeared the enemy just pushed through the gaps and smashed us to bits.

Interesting. Still unsure on how many diamonds I might get but I might aim for Katori/Smith if possible. A quick bit of maths says I should be able to if I complete next week's missions plus all kill missions plus 300 battles I will do it. Do we get week 5 missions? I have played a raft of tier IX games in my time but currently I only have 1 tier 9 that I elited a long time ago. If week 5 did come along and was 50 kills in a tier 9 then that is likely something I won't complete, but on the other hand week 5 missions would push my tally up even higher.

I think it all depends on whether the target is achievable or not. They will have analysed player numbers, take up of the project r and other factors to come up with a target but it is stil la target set before they know how things will actually play out. If we miss the target by 2 million you could reasonably argue that we had no chance of completing it and that would be most... upsetting.

Currently 54 BB, 56 DD and...7 CA. I am unsure if I have time to do all 3x100 kill missions so I have focussed on DD/BB because I am better at those. If I now focus on CA kills I'll end up about half way on each rather than finished on some. There is still plenty of time though I guess...

Yep, new missions done as soon as they appeared Means I can just focus on the missions still. I assume next week will be tier 8 battles and 40 CA games? I'm definitely a long way off the CA games as I have been trying to focus on getting the 100 DD/BB kills done first (CV done ages ago) but I can maybe give them some loving. And tier 8 is always a good tier for progressing the missions.

Yes, but your logic is to nerf it (which annoys current owners) and then sell it to people. the thing is that only the stupid people will buy it thinking it is OP as everyone else will not be that interested in buying a nerfed ship. So, they still won't make money apart from a few stupid people and hardcore collectors (of course, only those who weren't around for the original sale!).

This is why I will enjoy smashing teams up with it all the more.

That's my kind of side note (because I like having something exclusive). I'm currently racing my way up to 100 DD kills largely using that thing - it now sits at the top of the pile for total number of ships killed with a ship.

Yea... I was afraid to say hi when I was in CV and you were in a tier higher CV. My team was all round bad as I didn't even do that great at all and still came top. It would have been nice if they didn't collapse quite so bad, but I couldn't have kept up my plane losses in the long run

Until they make a flag better than the Jolly Roger, all my ships will continue to use that.

Kudos for coming to the forum and asking You have got some solid advice and you seem like you are going to take it so that is good. I will just add my weight to the voices saying that nothing beats hard experience at low tiers. Just by playing you will get a feel for what works, what doesn't, what only works once and how you can really start making a difference. If you start progressing a few lines in parallel (e.g. both BB lines, 1 or 2 CA lines and perhaps a DD line) and only use free EXP to upgrade ships to full strength before grinding up to the next ship then you will learn a lot and also get 5-6 lines to tier 6 in a relatively short amount of time. I would say that once you are comfortable with your tier 6 ships you could consider getting your Atlanta/Tirp/Atago out again but probably with a bit help from people in a division. There is a strong community of players here and it is not that hard to find someone who will play with you and help you raise your game. It is nice to see that you are happy enough to postpone playing some of your premiums as a lot of people would struggle on but as I say, it won't take long to be in a place where you are a asset to your team in them and you will enjoy playing them.

Because the week 2 missions run from wed to wed (I think) whereas the weekly recurring runs Monday to Monday. Y'now... just to make it more confusing

Interesting. I have the Mahan, Saipan and 5-skill-Hiryu at tier 7. I can make the Fuso work in tier 7 too (I did in the first season) as it is brilliant for CA deletion. And then I could always retrain Yamato captain for the Nagato I guess? Plenty of options. I like the idea of there being something for post rank 1 as well EDIT: guess I have the Myoko thanks to ARP too if I really fancy dragging the team down with me :p

Vaguely tempted as I was considering starting the USSR CA line, but not tempted enough I think. I did recently buy the Texas after all...

I'm happy enough with the detonation mechanic. It is rare enough for it not to be too much of a concern for me.

I just checked and I am at 101 games played with 340 diamonds earned. In those 101 games I have killed 27 ships as CV, 46 as DD, 50 as BB and 3 as a CA. I have also completed all week 1 and 2 missions and the weekly recurring 100k exp for week 1. Still think I have no chance on the 500 games but 300 might be achievable and I'm happy with my progress

I can't argue with that. I didn't realise it was so much the difference between possible and impossible. It is hard for me to see as I have auto completed week 1 and 2 (running premium) so I don't actually know what the max EXP I have earned in the week is. Does look rather p2earn (diamonds).

But you don't "absolutely need premium time". Poor players might. People only using tier 2 might. But does the only way to do it require premium time? No.
