EDIT: I would also add ofc this was going to happen. They keep rebalancing and rebalancing but never seem to get close with achieving actual balance.

I'm on track for 200 battles and completing DD/BB/CV 100 kills but I only have 11 CA kills and I am unlikely to find time to get to 300 battles as I'm pretty busy. I actually feel like I have played a lot recently and I'm currently at 173 games lol but I never have the chance to lose an entire day to gaming any more.

Yea mine had been re-enabled too so thanks for that. Yesterday I actually put 2 new hard drives into my PC, formatted and now have windows 10: First game in WoWs... co-op mode for my Blys. D'oh. Second game moved to PVP in my Texas... first salvo HE as it didn't have a last ammo type remembered. D'oh. Third game in my Tirpitz (apparently I'm totally a p2w loser)... first salvo HE. God dammit! So, next time you see a Yamato hit you with HE you will probably find it is me in my first game sailing her since the format... I'm a slow learner.

I'm aware of its shortcomings but I don't think it will be entirely as woeful as you are making it out to be. And I also think that anyone who buys any low tier ship as a captain trainer is a masochist because you are never going to get stellar XP gains. I will get it all the same. But, until I know what the GNB secret is I can wait

I do plan on getting it but, I am not in a huge rush so I might wait until the end of GNB... just in case EDIT: Also, it is frustrating that as a long time Warspite owner I cannot get the commemorative flag. As much as I love my jolly roger I would put the flag on my RN ships. It is actually about time they allowed you to have multiple flags on your ships...

Just met Kashuken on my team in his fubuki. I was in my tirpitz with another tirpitz and we were both rushing in on a NC who had got himself in all kinds of trouble sitting bow on. I was swinging from side to side to get my torps launched from about 4km away (hit 3) when I got a torp warning and found that Kashuken was torping from the second line - several km behind us. Since I was full turn starboard I couldn't get out of it fast enough and ate 2 torps from him. This, he let me know, was of course all my fault and I guess I deserved the torrent of abuse he sent my way. Could definitely use that as an argument against kill missions as there was no good reason for him to torp there otherwise - and he even told me to 'shut up no kills' despite the fact that my 0 kills resulted from being effectively teamkilled since I died about 4 seconds after he torped half of my health away.

I'm an above average player certainly. I'm a naturally aggressive player, pushing to make contact and start influencing the game. This causes me to sometimes die far too early - and if you are dead you lose the ability to influence the game. That isn't to say I cannot play conservatively, but it is whether I do it in time that is the problem. This makes me far too inconsistent and is particularly a problem when in DDs. I constantly berate myself for the inconsistency in my gameplay but I am apparently a slow learner :p I'm predominantly a BB player but can play all classes. Order of preference (and ability) probably goes BB->CV->DD->CA. On a side note there are too many people on this thread with really good stats (i.e. well above average) saying they are only average and they are wrong so please stop it. Recognition of your perhaps many mistakes (even the same ones, over... and over) and your room for improvement doesn't translate to you being average. And, whilst some players might look distinctly average when up against some of the truly great players they should still be able to recognise where they really sit. If a 55% player comes along thinking they are above average (which they almost certainly are) they may adapt their post when they see the 67% player describing themselves as being just 'average'!

So you think your earnings (as in profit) should increase in line with the investment it takes to kit out a ship? They only lose the whiney ones. Plenty of f2p people accept the model and know that if they want to continue playing for free they will have to play a mix of mid tier and high tier. Several patches ago they made it so that noobs are ring fenced in their own games. Even if I want to play tier 2 I cannot play against really new players as they don't go into the same games I do. As for things like the Warspite - whilst it is a capable ship you cannot click battle and just [edited]. You also wrong with your assumptions of high tier DDs - they don't avoid capping because of costs - they avoid dying because 1) its not fun 2) your team loses more and 3) it costs a lot. In fact uncontested capping is one of their favourite things. It isn't that harsh. You can earn all of the credits you need relatively easily - and as others have said they have even given away mid tier premium ships to anyone who met the requirements which makes it even easier! As for the national pricing. They do offer things at different rates by region but not by country. I'm not entirely sure of their reasoning and it could be made 'fairer', but how does this relate to your silver earnings question? It seems like you whined about silver earnings and then when that didn't go well you have twisted it to a different argument. As for you final point - of course it would make it easier! There are not enough ship lines here that people would always be nicely populating the mid tiers. 100-200 games each doesn't translate to ever populated low-mid tiers, all day, every day.

You can get to rank 1 (and the rewards). You just won't have anything to do whilst there.

I've been over-purchasing premiums recently and I would have been suckered into getting this without the reviews. I don't really know why I consider premium cruisers anyway since I don't find CAs that fun generally.

I understand that CE would be of benefit and perhaps improve my results further, but my point is that without it I am doing well, being an asset to my team and getting some very good results in it corresponding with a high WR and decent ave damage. So, it is possible to be profitable without those things you mention. And I say this as someone who is not a natural cruiser player.

If he is in OMNI then you can safely assume he isn't one of those players. Stop being ridiculous.

But what if another target pops up at closer range? If you are going for repeated fires then you need to stick with HE and stick with the same target (assuming it even remains visible!) so that you can start that second fire for DoT (hopefully). So, you are committing to 2 salvos of HE taking about 1 min of loading time and a lot can happen in that time. I'd still rather take my chances with AP.

I don't even bother loading HE for DDs in my BBs. I really don't see the point of it. And, I enjoy watching BBs firing HE at me as I know I can get their health down faster than they can get mine down.

You did 0 damage. In an entire game you failed to damage a single enemy. You should have got charged a lot more than any 16.5k...
